Camouflage pants mightve been long out of style but it seems to me the trend of the military style tops have came back. Lately, we've been seeing fashionistas sportin these jackets to keep them warm from the chilly weather. the style is edgy that gives a very vintage look. What do you think of the style? Cute? I mean, I'd be dying to find one my size. I'm glad to spend time thrifting for it but
if you really dont have time, check out http://vintagelove.storenvy.com/ for their preorders :)
I've been trying to find the perfect highlighter for the past few months and it's been hectic. I've tried a few drugstore brands and realize those quicklys weared away. So I decided to try out the Urban Decay highlighter in "Moonshine" because the makeup artist at sephora recommended it. My budget was around $15-25 and this fell a little bit over my category. I ended up purchasing it and then
followed up at the MAC counter and purchased the MAC cream color base in pearl. here's my results,
Pros of Urban Decay:
-Lasts long
-Great for night outs for glamming it up
-great for people who look for dramatics
-the base is REALLY pretty and adds shine
- REALLY highlights your features
- Noticeable, great for blending w/ blushes
-control of how much you put on
-little goes a long way
Con:
- A bit too shimmery for me (look at swatch)
-Not very blendable
- not suitable for dark skin tones
- unnatural to my skin
MAC cream base in pearl pros:
- really blendable
-suitable for many skin types
-great to use as a eye color base
-really natural results
- Perfect color to provide a soft look
- really pretty paleish colors
-highly blendable with blush (MUST TRY!)
Con:
- will wash out unless you wear primer
- quad makes you get tiny amounts at a time
- color base will crease if you put too much
overall results, moonshine's great for a night out yet mac pearl is great for everyday look. I ended up returning the moonshine because it wasn't really working well along w/ my skintone. I resorted to mac pearl because of the inexpensive $17.50 price and its really versatile to use as a highlighter & color base while I can make good use of it. What do you think ?
I reside in SF so the weather has always been foggy until a few days agowhen the sun started peeking up on us and I definitely took the advantage to doll myself up!
Yesterday, I decided to pair a laced button up top w/ a black pencil skirt and mini black stilettos from h&m for a litte outing with my beloved boyfriend. The button up I wore was from a tiny haul a few days ago. I bought a sweater
from armani exchange, they had their extra 30% off already reduced price. So what originated w/ $68 became a steal of $29. I also bought a laced button up tank for $15 & a red/whit striped bandeau for $4 from forever 21 I've noticed I bought a lot button ups and bandeaus lately. I'm totally geared up for summer :) What do you guys think of this outfit?
I can't explain my love for button ups and chiffon tops right now. They're hittin' it all over the stores like forever 21! It's especially easy to match with spring and upcoming summer with the neon and pastel and the colorblocks coming up. They come in different designs, short sleeve or longsleeve and in different colors. So far I've collected blue, pastel pink, black, burgundy, and mint green
with those detailed collars. They're perfect to pair with a tanktop, jacket, or even fancy enough with a blazer. I prefer wearing them with bandeaus or light tank tops. What do you think about them?
They're so fun to pair with ~
J'adoreeee discounts, clearances and sales are the first racks that I tend to head to and Great Mall's the perfect place ! More than half an hour from bayshore, I think it's worth the drive!

This trip saved me alot of money and gave me a chance to finish my back to school shopping ^_____^ !
I recieved my first package from Hautelook today after waiting for 2-3 weeks. I'm absolutely impressed even though they have a long given time of when the item will arrive but it was really accurate. They didnt just throw something in a package like whatever but they nicely wrapped it like a gift despite how low the price was for the item. It was a tiny box, nicely taped, bubble wrap all over
inside and a blue tissue paper wrapping a big box. Inside the big box is the Rock&republic powder I bought. I absolutely love it and will be doing a review soon ! I expected the quad be small and tiny but it's like the size of my palm for around $8 (originally $40+) ! That's a great deal ! I love hautelook's first impression & i love their products, what do you think (:
I'm such a big fan of blushes, I find it like one of the most important things in makeup. When I look tired, a dab of blush makes me look energized and rosy all over again which I love. Now, I'm much more of a matte blush user and not much of the shimmery ones. I find that matte creates a more natural look and it's usually highly pigmented so the color won't fade easily. While shimmery does it's
job by providing a healthy glow, more like highlighting cheekbones with the glitter type but I don't like how it makes it obvious that I'm wearing that. Which one do you prefer ?
These travel size concealers are perfect for on the go, I can just throw one in my purse, it's like lipstick tube size. I bought three of these half a year ago (neutral/warm/cool) and I figured my perfect concealer color is [W1-2-3 fair light in neutral] from target for a price of $8. I find it super bendable and it did the job by covering all my blemishes, it's long lasting and creamy while I
still haven't even finished the whole tube yet. very light application goes a long way while it doesn't make cakiness on scabs either. Perfect under foundation. I can just throw this on and leave my house. This is by far the best drugstore concealer that I use. Only holdback is that it's price for a small amount and the concealer kind of spreads around the tube which gets messy.
By the looks of it, it might've looked like hand-me-downs, even my mom thought that I was sporting one of my grandma's sweet knitted sweaters. Mainstream may sound like the trend but it's nice to wear something like this once in a while. Creates a softie vintage look yet somehow brings back a family warmth kind of feeling w/ the somewhat similar designs to grannie knits, I really like how it
cooperates with the tank top underneath. What do you think ?
Hollister sweater/ Cardigan : $12.90 (originally $44)
a&f soft vintage tank top: $29
This is my outfit of the day ! I really love it because it gives off a very layered yet soft tone. I don't think it stands out but it gives me a summer look of florals, feels really chic and feminine.
- a&f tank top w/ ribbon $50 ? (around that price)
- striped cardigan h&m $17.95
- tiny shoulder bag $13.99 nordstrom
- leggings from forever 21 (4.50)
