I decided to make a healthy and delicious dinner tonight, so I turned to my organic groceries and figured what I could make. I recently bought a bunch of organic food so I've been trying to make each meal as healthy as possible (although I do get the occasional Starbucks... lol). Tonight I had seasoned grilled chicken and a side fruit salad!
The chicken I had is organic free-range chicken
which is a much better option than the chicken in regular packaging at the grocery store (less GMOs!). I seasoned it with garlic powder, paprika, thyme, and rosemary and grilled it on my grill pan. I've always just baked my chicken breasts before, so grilling it was an adventure, lol!
The fruit salad I made was a last-minute thing. I originally intended to have a regular salad with some organic lettuce, but I unfortunately had let it sit in my fridge longer than I thought :( So I had to toss it (thankfully there wasn't too much left). So I turned to see what else I had in my fridge and decided a nice fruit salad would be good. I used organic strawberries and an organic granny smith apple and cut them up and used some strawberry balsamic dressing to add a little something :) Sooo good!!
Eating healthy really is important, especially considering the literally killer chemicals that go into most foods nowadays. Always buy locally or organic if possible (but you still have to watch things that are labeled "organic" because it's not always true!! Scary!!). You'll feel much better on the inside! :D

I have been on the hunt for the traditional Sperry's for quite sometime now, but they were usually sold out or overpriced wherever I looked. Eventually, I found a Macy's that had them and in my size! Woot woot! I got the traditional angelfish style and am in LOVE :)
I used a gift card I had for Macy's from returning a previous item, too, so I saved a bit on the end price. Another perk!
I've owned a couple other pairs of boat shoes over the years (my favorite ones prior being blue and white which were perfect for my college!) but these ones are really great. Yes, they're pricey... but I've found that the quality is great, they're comfy, and they look pretty awesome! With skinny jeans or shorts (I love wearing them with shorts!) they definitely "polish off" an outfit because they're casual, but not as casual as flip flops or regular flats.
Boat shoes do tend to stretch out after awhile, so you might want to go a half size down if you purchase them. There are a bunch of different "heights" when it comes to the "tongue" of the shoe, too, so I would look to see which one suits you best :) I went with the lower top (the angelfish style) and the plain beige design because they go with pretty much everything (I'm not a fan of the colored/patterned ones). I'm looking forward to wearing them all summer! ...Hopefully on a boat! lol :)

Over the past couple months, I've really changed up my lifestyle. I've been minimizing my belongings, working out more, and eating much healthier. I try now to only eat organic and GMO-free foods (which is difficult, but I try!). So my number one place to buy groceries is Trader Joe's. Luckily, there's one right down the road!
These groceries are from my most recent shopping trip. I
bought organic oranges and strawberries, organic strawberry-banana-orange juice (which is soooo good, by the way!), organic yogurt, organic free-range chicken (which tastes much better than the "regular" chicken you buy in similar-looking packs at the grocery store. Free-range is delicious!), and a dried fruit strip in a flavor I haven't tried before. Yum!!
I feel that by doing this, I can really control what goes into my body more. Granted, you still have to be careful with "organic" foods because not all USDA-Certified organic foods are truly organic, but it's at least better than buying a box of chemicals at Walmart, lol. Here's to healthy living!!

A friend and I went to Troegs Brewery a couple weeks ago and tried some really awesome beers! It was a gorgeous day outside so we sat on the patio, chowed on some delicious food, and enjoyed some good brew :)
I ordered what's called the Dream Weaver and my friend ordered an IPA. I liked mine better ;) haha. Dream Weaver is a wheat beer and, when poured a particular way, the yeast in it
reacts and makes it even more awesome haha. After those beers, we then decided to try the beer in the picture, Splinter. It was reallly good! Came in its own bottle and everything for us to share. We had a party to drive to next so, needless to say, we ordered some more food before we left since we had just drank quite a bit of beer haha.
Before leaving the brewery, we each got a growler. A growler is a 64 oz container which is pretty perfect to keep for yourself in the fridge or to bring somewhere to share. I got a growler of the Dream Weaver and my friend got a growler of the Perpetual IPA, so we brought those to the party we were heading to next. Unfortunately, we accidentally left the empty growlers there when we left the next morning :( Oh well... that just means another trip to Troegs Brewery is needed, haha!

Over the past few days, I have been doing a major overhaul of my closets. I just graduated and will have to move out of my apartment in August and begin the "real world" soon and I realized that between my apartment and my room at home, I have a lot of stuff. Like, way too much stuff. So I decided to go through everything and get rid of it!
I ended up with 3 bags I plan on taking to Plato's
Closet to try to sell and 2 bags that will go right to goodwill. I found a bunch of dresses, shirts, sweatshirts, shoes, purses, sunglasses, and jewelry that I really don't wear and will probably be better off without having it taking up room in my closet at home or in my apartment. It feels very refreshing to get rid of so much stuff. The less stuff you have, the less you have to worry about! I'm turning to a more minimalist lifestyle and this was a great step in that direction :)
Also, getting rid of all this stuff makes me realize how much I waste. Many of the items had never been worn or used. I plan to now only buy things that I really need or will absolutely wear or use instead of buying something just because it's cute or on sale. I'll be doing a similar post on my bath/beauty/makeup products that I've also done this with. Seriously, letting go of things feels great!

I just graduated from school with an awesome degree and am ready to take on the world! Haha, but first, my outfit! For my graduation, I decided to go with a classic structured dress and really liked white because it's light and summery. Plus, it was really hot so I'm glad I went with a light color since the graduation robes were an awfully hot fabric, lol.
My dress has some floral
detailing in the stitching and has a black knotted belt which I really love :) I decided to pair it with simple black heels to achieve an all-around classic look. It really looked great! I took pictures with my graduation robe open and the dress really looked fantastic. I wore simple jewelry (including pearl earrings and a diamond bracelet with my school's logo - can never have too much jewelry from your alma mater!). I love the overall look! Simple and classic :)
I'm so happy I wore this dress for my graduation - it looked great with the graduation robe and by itself. And even wearing those heels were fine for walking across the stage. Guess it's time to face the "real world" now, haha.

My roommate and I went into TJ Maxx the other day so that she could get a swimsuit and, while we were there, I spotted this absolutely gorgeous Michael Kors wallet! I picked it up and just wouldn't put it down, haha. I knew it was mine - love at first sight! :)
The price of the wallet was $50, but I has a $16 giftcard leftover from a return that I previously made, so the price came down to
$34 which was nice :) I really love the beige and camel colors because they go with everything. Plus, the lighter colors are perfect for summer (a nice switch from my black Coach wallet!).
This is my first Michael Kors item and I'm very happy with it!! I've already switched all my cards and money over into it. It looks great! And it actually holds more than I thought it would which is nice. I would definitely go check out your local TJ Maxx to see if they have any hidden gem finds like this one! You never know what you might find there!

My birthday was two days ago and I received the most beautiful flowers! My boyfriend couldn't be with me on my birthday, so he sent me these gorgeous roses. I was so surprised, haha! I've never had flowers delivered like that to me before, so it was very nice :) He's the best!
These roses add the perfect pop of color in my room. The stand out gorgeously against my white walls and really
make my room feel fresh and alive. I always have fresh flowers around, and these ones are definitely extra-special :)

I've been away from Luuux for quite a long time. I have seriously been debating my status on this site... I've been on it now for about 3 years and just felt really defeated when they made all the shop changes this past January. But I'm going to continue forward, I believe, and see where the site goes. So hopefully I'll have much more posts on the way! I've missed a lot of you!!!

One of the perks of going to a school that has amazing Victoria's Secret PINK reps? Getting all the promotional items! My roommate and I always try to participate in the promotional events because they usually give away great free stuff, and this time was no exception :)
For this particular promotion, you had to follow my school's PINK representatives on facebook and twitter. Throughout the
day, they posted clues as to where they were going to be on campus - and if you made it to them on time, you got a free PINK bandeau top! So my roommate and I (who live off campus) literally sped as fast as we could to campus to score one of the free bandeaus. And we were successful!
About 10 girls showed up to the location we went to, but the PINK rep only had about 7 bandeaus. So my roommate and I dove for one since we were one of the first ones who had shown up. We both got one! There was some size switching that went on once they were all taken and then the VS PINK rep took a pic of all us with our bandeaus haha :) I got a pretty purple one - love it!!
These are seriously perfect in the summertime when you don't want a bra strap to show with a tank top. They fit well and the lace detailing it cute! I'm just very glad I got mine for free!! :D

I have been a continuous active user on Luuux now for over two years. I have invested time into writing quality posts, uploading my own pictures, and recruiting friends to use the site as well. With that said, allow me to express my frustration and, yes, anger with Luuux.
I began my journey on Luuux over two years ago with one goal in mind: to get the LV bag. Back then, the bag cost around
48,000 Luuux$ or so and the price continued to rise. I was okay with the continual price raises because I continued working toward my goal. I write posts on a regular basis and visit the site daily to like and comment on other peoples' posts. Within the past month, I hit enough points to finally get the LV bag. All I had to do was earn just a little more to cover the shipping. In the meantime, however, Luuux decided to redo the entire ship and more than QUADRUPLE the price of the bag I have been working two plus years to get. I am sorry, but this is very frustrating for me.
I consider myself a Luuux veteran. I know the site inside and out because of my activity for the past couple years. In a way, I feel let down by Luuux. Surely they've noted the members who are "loyal" and follow the guidelines and remain constantly active? I hate to say that I feel as if my hard work has been for naught, but this IS how I feel... I put up with price increases and changes for years and just kept going, knowing eventually I would reach my goal. But now the bar is set impossibly high. Truly.
I really don't know now how much longer I will continue with Luuux. I do love the community of people, but the incentive for joining that once was no longer is what it used to be. This is unfortunate and, personally, is something that I feel is a poor business move. I'll see how things go in the coming weeks and months... but it's hard to stay committed to something that has let you down immensely.
