Hey, guys, hope your day is going better than mine -- it's peeing cats and dogs outside right now and I don't have an umbrella :( .
But my day hasn't entirely sucked though, cuz my lunch today was fucking DELICIOUS!
I went to the deli across the street from school and got their special of the day, which was an oven-roasted stuffed pork sandwich on a lightly toasted rosemary foccacia bread
with swiss cheese, spinach and their special mayo sauce. And this thing is perfection in a sandwich, I swear. The pork is nice and tender and juicy and the special sauce, which is mayo-based doesn't really taste all that much like mayo and by the time I got to eat, the swiss had lightly melted which just made it even better.
For the side I had a small-ish portion of their tortellini salad -- which I am just absolutely addicted to. If you've seen an earlier post of mine, this is a homemade salad with cheese tortellini, little bits of white cheddar block cheese, craisins and raisins, bacon, onion, broccoli, and the dressing is a slightly sweet mayonnaise based sauce. To wash down my meal I had a bottle of green apple Jones soda, which is awesome. If you've never had it, I suggest you try it because it is pretty awesome. Plus, Jones has this thing where you can send in pictures and maybe get them on the labels of the soda bottles.
Hope your lunches were fun and delicious as mine was :)

At the same time I was in Wally World today picking up that bottle of Sally Hansen polish, I also grabbed some cocktail rings I had looked at the other day.
The big 3 level flower ring is my personal favorite of the two, and it certainly is noticeable and says 'look at me, i am MASSIVE!' It's a stretch band ring, as is the other one, and I'm hoping to stretch it out a bit because it currently
is a tad tight on my middle finger.
The other ring is a smaller, stretch band cocktail ring with an oval shaped bit of god knows what that reminds me a bit of the tiger eye stone. I would be more likely to wear that to work or something because it is the smaller, more 'quiet' if you will of the two pieces.
Overall, I am pleased with the purchases I made of the two rings. I got what I paid for, I paid $4.88 apiece, and while the elastic in the band lasts I will probably enjoy them.
Let me know what you guys think of the rings and cocktail rings in general.

So, I got my paycheck today and afterward I picked a few bits and bobs that I needed / wanted.
I had time to kill today before getting the bus -- no car :( -- and I went into a Sally's Beauty Supply near the bank. Perusing the shelves, I purchased two nail polishes.
I got the China Glaze in Lubu Heels and it's a dark red with shimmer. I've seen a lot of posts on here talking about China
Glaze and I've always wanted to try it, but it is a tad expensive for nail polish. I decided to splurge today and picked out that bottle, because, hell, I'm about to graduate from college and why not do it?
I picked up the second bottle, a grey from Nina Ultra Pro in a color called Ink-ling because the shade of grey caught my eye, so we'll see how that goes.
Later on, I went to Wally World to get some bandages and make up, I picked up the third bottle, a Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in a color called Cinna-snap. I've actually put that on my fingers, and I'll put pics up later after I've cleaned up the edges (shaky hands) and I really like the color. It's a nice, deep shade of red that definitely is reminiscent of cinnamon.
Edit: This is my hand and the Cinna-snap -- ignore the shitty clean up :)
Let me know what you guys think of any of the above brands or colors :)

Vivienne Westwood has some cool clothes, and I definitely like her take on some things she makes. Like, the wedding dress she custom designed for Dita von Teese when she got married to Marilyn Manson. It was this gorgeous silk confection in a color called shot violet, but I digress.
For this look, again, everything you see is one hundred percent Vivienne Westwood. I picked a high necked
blouse with a big, but loose bow around the throat and a red asymmetrical red skirt that is from the Anglomania line, like the top. As for the shoes, they, like the skirt and top, are also from the Anglomania line and are a studded ankle bootie with a side zip feature and apparently the little bit of studs also comes off – in case you ever want a plain boot with no embellishment what so ever.
As far as accessories go, I chose a silvery-grey flat bottom tote bag with a snake pattern embossed upon the leather – so it’s definitely not real snakeskin. And as far as jewelry goes, I put in the set a pearl bracelet with the Vivienne Westwood logo of the orb, a small pave ring in dark stones that kind of reminds me of a small signet ring. My favorite piece of jewelry in this whole set is the crystal skull ring from Miss Westwood. It’s simple, but still really pretty. The earrings are just a simple pair of enameled Westwood orb stud earrings and I found a cool rhodium and black bead necklace that has a diamante orb hidden in there somewhere.
Let me know what you guys think.

I made this particular set when I was doing a set making challenge, the ABC’s of fashion or something like that. The particular prompt for the letter ‘u’ was umbrella. So I came up with a simple rainy day look that I think just about every woman can carry off since it doesn’t ascribe to any particular trend or style.
I made this outfit with a horizontal black and white striped knit
shirt from Moschino, a pair of Acne jeans in a nice bright blue, and a really cool and awesome Hobbs trench coat. I mean, the best way to combat a miserable day is to wear something happy and bright, case in point this awesome coat. I also tossed in that ring only to fill up the blank spot that was there – blank spots in a set irritate the living hell out of me for some reason. So pretty much feel free to ignore the ring.
I finished the set off with a pair of wellington boots with this fancy and pretty looking design on them and I also tossed in a clear umbrella (I’ve always wanted one) from Kate Spade.
Let me know what you guys think. : - )

Every so often, one gets the urge to play in the proverbial online closet of closets when one is on a website like Polyvore. And that’s definitely what I did here when I made this look solely out of things made by designer Balmain.
I find Balmain to be a very fun looking designer, my case being made when you look at some of the pieces in the set. So, yeah, I went a little crazy with this
look, which I’ve coined ‘Beetlejuice Meets the Circus.’
I chose a very jazzy red sequined tank top and paired that with a black and white vertical striped pair of pants and had a white tuxedo jacket from Balmain also going on over the top of that. A feminine version of a ringmaster’s outfit, if you will. As for shoes, I put in a pair of black peep toe booties with a 4 inch heel.
To cap off the look I added a pair of Balmain aviators, a military style belt, a studded red leather cuff and a cute crystal and chain embellished clutch purse.
Let me know what you guys think. : - )

If you knew me in the real world, you would know that if I could, I would definitely dress a little more rock n’ roll than I do, since it is my thing. Even though I went a tad overboard here and really could probably make 2 outfits out of what I’ve got going on, I still am in love with this style :).
For the top I picked out a long sleeve top with a funky purple skull and crossbones
design on the chest and this cool detailing on the shoulders (which you unfortunately can’t see in this picture) and paired it with a simple pair of black skinny jeans from French Connection, a BKE motorcycle jacket with a little bit of stud detailing on the lapels, and a pair of Not Rated ‘shaker’ boots for the heels. I think the heels are really cool, and I like the fact that it’s a multi-media shoe and it has that bit of fringe on the front.
As far as accessories go, I picked out a pretty cool looking brown leather satchel bag with the front flap covered in row after row of pyramid studs, a metal and rubber chain link cuff bracelet from G by Guess, I also added an oval shaped pair of faceted studs from Dorothy Perkins, a rosary style necklace with a key charm at the end instead of a cross, and this ring that looks like a zipper that rolled on itself.
As far as make up for this look goes, I chose a red lipstick from NARS, waterproof mascara from Lancome, a charcoal colored eye shadow for the dark eye, eyeliner from MAC, and a bright red shade of OPI for a pop of color.
And just for fun I added figurines of some of Universal studios most legendary monsters : - )

I like playing around with fashion and making up a set of whatever pops into my head. This set was probably centered more around the body con dress than anything else.
The dress is a RICH v neck body con and bandage dress it looks like. And I love the black detailing on the dress itself, it pops against the blush color that constitutes the main part of the dress and it definitely looks like
it would do some clothing magic and make the girl who wears it look a little more streamlined, even if she’s not. I paired the dress with a pair of Yves Saint Laurent platform stiletto heels, in regular black because I sometimes prescribe to the notion of K.I.S.S. – Keep It Simple Stupid (it’s a gamer thing, but readily applies in a lot of different situations).
As far as accessories go, I went a bit more flashy there, putting in a silver Jimmy Choo tube clutch, a brown pair of sunglasses by Tom Ford, a pair of crystal snowflake earrings from Erika Beamon (love those!), a black wood bead bracelet with a skull bead right in the middle (which would be the touch of me in the set, since this look really isn’t my style), a black and white diamond ring all twisted together from Effy Collection and apparently available on the Lord & Taylor website, and I finished off the look with a Victorian-inspired cross necklace made with jet beads.
Let me know what you guys think.

So, I had a really yummy -- albeit probably not healthy -- dinner today. I finished it up a few minutes ago and now I'm making this post to kill time before my 6:30 class in 20 minutes.
There's a deli across the street from my school, and it really is kind of like a town secret. The food is really good and really affordable. For dinner I got a small pulled pork sandwich with pepper jack
cheese on a wheat grinder roll. The pulled pork sandwich was really juicy and had a nice tang to it -- it wasn't spicy or anything but there was still a bit of a bite there.
I also got a small side of their homemade tortellini said, which is AMAZING. It has multi-colored cheese tortellini, craisins, raisins, onion, and bacon with a slightly sweet dressing that has a mayonnaise base. It sounds odd, but I promise you it is really good.
And to wash it all down I had a bottle of Hosmer Mountain Soda in the Black Cherry flavor. Hosmer is a local soda, produced in New England and Black Cherry is definitely my favorite of theirs and one of their best flavors they have. If you live in an area where you can get Hosmer, I recommend you do.

This particular look was something that had been floating around in my drafts on Polyvore for quite some time. I think originally all I had were the pants and shirt and I was moved by the fashion gods to finally complete this and publish it.
I wanted to keep the look simple, monochromatic, but still bold. And since I am most influenced by rock ‘n’ roll and Mr. McQueen (may he rest in
peace), I took my cues from that. This is an outfit I would actually wear, if I had the body for it (I really don’t).
I started out by picking a fairly simple looking pair of black cigarette pants from Warehouse, and added a pair of zipper cuff shoes from ASOS, before finishing off the clothing with a tank shirt from Alexander McQueen.
As far as accessories go, I put in a military style hand bag with the traditional knuckleduster bit , again, from Alexander McQueen with several gold chains hanging from it, making it really pop against monochromaticness (love that word) of the rest of the outfit. I added a pair of tortoise shell ray-ban sunglasses, because Ray-Bans are always cool and tortoiseshell isn’t something I see a lot of and I’m definitely coming to like it. Keeping with the simplicity of the look, I completed it by adding a chunky ring from Tacori that matched the color scheme and an I Heart Boobies bracelet, because, let’s face it, there pretty much can’t be too much awareness creating of breast cancer out there.
Let me know what you guys think of it.
