At the Masters Tournament in April, Tiger Woods could have been a tad bit distracted by the airplane banners that were commissioned to fly over the Augusta Golf Course in Georgia.
Well, at the final round of the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, California he’ll have to deal with them again.
The company NationalSkyAds.com says that banners reading "TIGER: ARE YOU MY DADDY?" and, "HAPPY FATHER'S
DAY TIGER LOL", will soar above the tournament for all to see.
Here’s hoping this doesn’t affect Woods. Although he did not play well the first two days, he was on a tear Saturday, moving up the leaderboard. Despite his personal problems, that should be put aside when one considers he has been one of the greatest golfers of all time during his career.
What do you think? Despite whatever result from Sunday’s final round, does Tiger deserve airplane banners? Who would spend their money advertising things from Woods’ past he cannot now do anything about?

Perhaps trying to collect some cash on debts owed, former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight is suing Kanye West for a shooting in 2005 that happened at a party hosted by West. The incident shattered Knight’s femur and he is demanding $200,000 for his medical bills.
Knight was famous for his overseeing of the outlaw hip hop label Death Row Records, with a controversial stable of artists that
included Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shukar. Knight has been beset with both legal and financial problems in this centurary, so this suit is not a surprise.
Knight is claiming that ample security was not available at the party hosted by West, which was located in Miami Beach, Florida.
The party also had many A-list guests such as Jessica Alba, Eddie Murphy, the Black Eyed Peas and Paris Hilton.

While some grunge-era bands will never return, Stone Temple Pilots has reformed and recently released a new album. While it’s a departure from their previous work (not a surprise since the band loves to change their style) it’s got great guitar work and hooks with some signature STP style thrown in for good measure. Plus, singer Scott Weiland never seems to be fazed by his personal problems;
his singing is still fantastic.
STP is doing a tour over the next few months, hitting up theaters and festivals both in Europe and the US. They are even offering some great photo and backstage pass ticket packages, although they can be a bit pricey at several hundred dollars per ticket.
Nevertheless, it may be worth it for an once-in-a-lifetime experience if you’re a big STP fan. Given the somewhat mercurial nature of Weiland, it’s probably best to see them while they are actively touring. Also, check out the charging lead single from their recently launched self-titled album, a nostalgic ditty with cascading vocals called “Read Between the Lines”.

The wonderful Tommy ton was asked by Style.com to document his favorite off catwalk fashion themes to look out for in Fall 2010....so here you have it in a nutshell:
1. A camel coat is going to be huge this winter.
2. Wide brimmed hats - handy for cold weather too, no?
3. Mis-matched leopard print...that old favourite gets a restyle.
4. Military jackets - they don't have to be frumpy.
5.
The small square bag with long strap - a la Celine.

It's official. As soon as I saw that you had a bumble bee necklace in your shop I decided I was going to get it. I love pretty anything he makes - it's good value too - not cheap (most things seem to be around £200) but at the same time his jewellery is both original and wearable and really beautiful...the sort of thing you'll always love to wear. So I'm going to start collecting them (or
earning them....)
Here's some extra info from his site - 'British jewellery designer Alex Monroe grew up in Suffolk surrounded by fields, rivers and the plants and creatures which inhabit them. He trained at Sir John Cass School Of Art in London, and uses nature to inspire his whimsical, intricately beautiful jewellery.
Established in 1986, his core aspirations remain unchanged; to make great quality, wearable jewellery, which is originally designed and well priced.
Nature has always been Alex’s greatest inspiration. Whether from travels in Pakistan, walks along the hedgerows of Suffolk or even the Tuscan hills, his designs always remain inherently English. Alex always makes the original by hand in sterling silver, which gives his work its distinctive signature of such exquisite detail. He uses his skills to craft jewellery that is slightly quirky, sometimes cute, but always very feminine. The jewellery is both pretty and humorous, but consistently wearable.'

Speaking of nice jewellery - I've always wanted to get my hands on this beauty - the Hot Lips ring by west London Jeweller Solange Azagury Partridge...who's amazing pieces have been worn on many a red carpet. She's also famous for being the master of Ozzy's iconic bejewelled union jack ring....
soooo expensive - this ring is about £1000 and it's only silver!...
Here's some more info on
Solange via the design museum website:
'After teaching herself to design jewellery by making her own pieces without any formal training, SOLANGE AZAGURY-PARTRIDGE has defined an iconoclastic approach to jewellery design from her London studio.
The first piece of jewellery that Solange Azagury-Partridge ever made was her own engagement ring. Having tried – and failed – to find a ready-made ring that she liked, she made her own in 1987 as an uncut diamond embedded in a simple gold band. So many people admired it that, three years later, she set up in business and taught herself how to design jewellery.
She now regards the D-I-Y approach that introduced her to jewellery design as essential to her work. “The advantages of being self-taught are that I have no preconceptions or received opinions about the rules of jewellery,” observed Azagury-Partridge. “Being an outsider is my raison d’être.”
Born in London in 1961, Solange Azagury-Partridge studied French and Spanish at university and, after graduating, took a stopgap job at the London costume jewellers Butler & Wilson. A year later she went to work for the 20th century antique dealer Gordon Watson, where she discovered the vintage jewellery of Cartier, Van Cleef and Boucheron.'

My boyfriend thinks it looks like an ashtray (....please!) but I love this Burberry S/S cuff - is so versatile and would look as good with a cocktail dress as it would with a t-shirt.
What do you think?

I'm a veggie but if I did eat meat I'd want to buy it from here - they clearly take it very seriously and the products are obviously the best quality.
From CoolHunter: 'In the well-established suburb, tree-lined streets offer a perfect enclave for cafes and boutiques, and for that most unlikely of things, a supremely cool butcher shop. Victor Churchill is the first, and so far the only,
butcher shop established by Vic and Anthony Puharich, the father and son duo behind Vic’s Premium Quality Meat, the leading meat supplier to some of the finest restaurants in Australia, China and Singapore.
A butcher shop -- Churchill’s Butchery -has operated in the space since 1876, so it was an appropriate location for what the Puharichs envisioned as a European-inspired designer shop of meaty delights.
To realize their vision, they engaged Sydney-based Dreamtime Australia Design whose many restaurant, bar and resort projects around the world combine traditional and modern elements in a deliciously layered and multi-textured way. This was Dreamtime’s first retail project but too juicy to pass, says Dreamtime director, Michael McCann.
The store boasts so many unique, custom-designed and exclusive features that the only way to absorb it all is a real-life visit. The features provoke, intrigue and amuse the customer – starting with the façade with its double-glazed, refrigerated vitrine for viewing the ever-changing array of hanging meat and poultry, plus selections displayed on custom-made copper and glass shelving.

From Super: 'W: Inspired by the unique style of late 70’s italian design, such as our favorite, Marcello Gandini, to name one.
The W represents our retro-futuristic style to perfection, yet also offers a basic simplicity in its design. The W was designed all in one line, maintaining all angles square, to the point that the arms don’t even curve. It is sought of as the new classic shape of
the future.'
