This is my dinner from one day last week that I forgot to post earlier. I had fusilli pasta with a side of fried hunter's bologna sausage and a few fresh tomatoes (can't have dinner without some veggies..). I don't know if this kind of sausage is popular outside of germany but is is basically a mixture made of lean beef and pork, salt, pepper, garlic, mustard seed, capsicum, mace, cardamom and
water, which makes the sausage juicy. It tastes really good when you fry it so we coated the slices with egg and breadcrumbs. I also ate the remaining egg and breadcrumbs made into schnitzel. For the pasta sauce we tried a different instant sauce with tomato and mozarella flavor but it didn't taste all that great since it was lacking tomato flavor, I'd rather have napoli sauce again next time. We shredded some fresh parmesan over it, et voilà!
Let me know what you think about my dinner in the comments below! Thanks for stopping by.

Yet again it was my turn to cook my own dinner today. I didn't want any fast food or microwave food. Then I came across this fresh made pasta imported from Italy at the supermarket and I thought it would be great for a fresh meal. Girasoli means sunflower because the pasta is in a round shape with jags. It is super easy to prepare! The fresh pasta is coated in flour so it won't get sticky and all
you have to do is to put it in boiling salted water for 2 - 3 minutes. And you're done! I chose tomato & mozzarella flavor so the pasta had a filling that consistet of those and some ricotta cheese. For the sauce I used Barilla Tomato Gorgonzola sauce which is made in Italy as well. All you do is heat the sauce in a can. So convenient but still a fresh meal. Then I shredded some fresh parmesan cheese on top of the sauce and my dinner was perfect.
Have you ever tried fresh made pasta? What did you have for dinner today?

Hunger striked me in class today! Immediately after we finished I rushed to the cafeteria to get me some snacks for lunch. I've always seen people on campus eating this salad that kinda looked like small rice or something similar so I decided to try it today since it seems to be quite favored. Turned out it is actually a couscous salad flavored with tomato puree which gives it the red look. It
also had pieces of fresh tomato and green bell pepper and was seasoned with parsley, dill and spring onion. It was really delicious and a great snack for in between, definitely lives up to its popularity on campus. I also got a good ol' brownie. Not sure if it was homemade but tasted yummy. Really moist and with a bunch of chocolate chips.

After class I went on a little shopping spree today to stock up on some items for the summer. Actually I didn't plan to go to H&M but whenever I do I sure find something I wanna buy and they always have bargain prices so who could resist?!
♔ Light Blue Peter Pan Collar Blouse: I've been looking for a blouse with a peter pan collar since ages! So glad I came across this one, doesnt it look
adorable? On the front it has two layers so it is only see through in the back and the collar has pearls all over. Got this for 24,95€.
♔ Coral High Low Skirt: I've never been the person to wear mini skirts but this one is just fine since it is not short at all, it's flowy and I'll feel comfortable wearing it. I like the high low trend and the coral color trend as well so this is a perfect combination of those and will look great with wedges and a tank top. Got this for 14,95€ which is such a steal imho!
♔ Printed Crochet Trim Bow Headband: This headband will look so cute and add a nice detail to any outfit. I think it was a bit overpriced though (like most stuff at urban..) for 14€ with 10% student discount I got it for 12,60€.
Have you purchased any great items recently? Let me know what you think about my haul.

I purchased these new magnum mini flavors, as usual they come in a box of 6 ice creams, 3 of each flavor.
Gianduia Nougat: It is a mixture of chocolate and hazelnut, probably similar to nutella but it has more hazelnut flavor to it in my opinion. Throughout the ice creams there are little nougat swirls and it's covered in whole milk chocolate.
Pistachio: I feel like there's been magnum
pistachio before but it still claims to be new. Anyway this version is less sweet and it is covered in dark chocolate. This pistachio taste isn't too predominant.
Overall I love both flavors and I will definitely repurchase this but I'll have to see how long it is available. Magnum flavors change quite frequently don't they? My favourite magnum ever was the double caramel but that's not available anymore. bummer.
What is your favorite magnum flavor?

Yesterday for my birthday dinner it was my wish to eat at Good Time which offers indonesian and thai food. I wanted to eat there in the longest time but considering it is quite pricey I thought my birthday would be a good opportunity to finally eat there. I didn't take pictures of all the dishes but here are a few things that we ordered:
♦ Sate Ayam: Three pieces of chicken skewers that came
with peanut sauce and a pickled salad. The meat was so tender & I loved the peanut sauce flavor combination. It was so delicious together, perfect for an appetizer.
♦ Pad Thai: Finally I tried pad thai. I've seen it on here so many times and it really made me wanna taste it. The fried flat rice noodles came with pieces of tofu that were very crispy, bean sprouts, pieces of peanut and king prawns. I squeezed the lime juice all over and it tasted amazing! Definitely gonna eat this dish more often now.
♦ Gado-Gado: This is a vegetarian Indonesian dish that comes with blanched veggies, fried tofu, fried egg and peanut sauce. You also get some krupuk chips on the side.
♦ Gai Sam Rod: Crispy fried breaded chicken with sauteed veggies in a sweet-sour and spicy sauce. For the garnish the put a little stork made out of radish.
♦ Fried Ice Cream: I've heard bad things about fried ice cream but I wanted to try it myself in the longest time. So when I saw this on the menu I had to try it. I didn't think it would be that bad but it was absolutely gross. The ice cream was delish of course but you could taste the cold greasy fat in every bit. The best part about this was the lychee and whipped cream, such a failure!
♦ Drinks: For drinks they offered homemade freshly pressed juices made out of banana, mango, pineapple and orange juice. They tasted so amazing! If you order a coke here you're really missing out.
Overall I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant and all the little details! Like the cutlery and tableware that had little faces, butterfly or frog decorations on it. Made the whole restaurant so authentic. Also they put a lot of effort into the decoration. The food was delicious as well and I wish I could eat there again soon but it is really too expensive so I guess I have to wait for another special occasion.
What do you think about the food?

I went to see The Avengers last tuesday and I didn't have dinner before so my stomach was rumbling like crazy. Since popcorn wouldnt have filled me up I decided to smuggle a Mediterranean bagel that I bought at the baking factory before :p
The bagel had sun dried tomatoes, big chunks of mozzarella cheese and arugula. This really is my favourite stuff to put on a bagel. I also brought wine gums
that I bought while I was in London. Did you ever try those? They taste pretty good actually. For a drink I got a slushie that I bought at the cinema. For a 0,3l cup I paid 3,50€ >.< so freaking expensive. So you're better off bringing your own food. I mixed all 3 flavors that they had: cherry, sweet woodruff and tropical blue. After the movie was over and the staff was gone I helped myself to a free refill :p you have to get the best for that horrendous price.
What snacks do you like to eat at the cinema?

I still have a Douglas gift voucher from christmas so I thought it was about time I get myself something nice. Last time I passed by the store I saw this lovely bambi perfume advertising in the display window. I fell in love with the flacon because of the dreamy design and seriously who doesn't love disney? I was really hoping that the fragrance would be just as lovely! Yesterday I got the chance
to try it at the store and it smells really amazing! But of course it would depend on your personal taste, I think this perfume is a case of "you either love it or hate it".
The perfume smells really sweet and girly with a flowery note to it. You could even notice some sort of caramel or cotton candy scent. But since it is an Eau de Toilette it is not too overwhelming and heavy.
Head notes: mango, peach, red currant
Heart notes: vanilla, rose
Base notes: sandalwood, vanilla, rosewood
Another big plus and what most people love about this perfume is the flacon! The whole design is so perfect! As you can on the picture there is a little acryl bambi figure on top. It is the famous pose of bambi with the butterfly on his tail. The butterfly has a light pink color and bambi has some glittery sparkles inside. For now it is only available at Douglas in a 50ml flacon which retails for 29,95€. Overall I'm a huge fan of this fragrance.

Last weekend I went to London for a short vacation with my girlfriends. For dinner we decided to go to Nando's which is a Afro-Portuguese restaurant that is famous for their Peri-Peri chicken. I believe Nando's is only located in the UK so I really wanted to try it when we randomly came by the restaurant at Victoria Station.
I decided to order the Prego Steak Roll from the Specials menu. It is
described as "beef steak marinated in garlic, basted with peri-peri". You get to choose how spicy you want your food. After my friend warned me that medium is super hot I decided to stick with plain. Later I got to try the medium chicken my other friend ordered and boy was it spicy! Glad I got plain. Even if you get plain it is mildly spicy just no additional spice added. The steak roll came just with tomato on it so I'm glad that I added additional cheese. They charged 45pence for it but it was worth it. The steak itself could have been a bit more tender in my opinion but it was very flavoursome. The peri-peri sauce is definitely tasty! On the side I got creamy mashed potato and coleslaw salad which were both delicious. The whole meal came to a total of 11.40£. It is a bit more on the pricey side but overall it was delicious and I really recommend Nando's if you ever come to the UK.
Have you ever been to Nando's? If yes, what did you order?

Finally I purchased a mint green! Or at least something similar to mint green. I wanted to get this nail polish for a while but today it was on sale so I really had no excuse anymore to not get it. It usually retails for 2,45€ and I got it for 1,96€ which means I saved about 25%. There was only one bottle left that was going to be mine. Lucky me! So this nailpolish is called "Misty Jade" from
the Rimmel London "I Love Lasting Finish" collection. I really love the color and it was easy to apply, the only letdown is that the texture is so watery! So you'll need at least 3 coats to achieve opacity. I'm happy with my purchase anyway & finally have a mint green in my collection! :)
Do you like the color? Do you own any mint green nailpolishes?
