Have you ever been to Veniero's Italian Bakery in New York? I went there about two years ago, and our teacher had told us it would be a quick 10 minute walk, but it ended up being an hour, so by the time we got there, everyone was in a mood. I barely remember what I tried there.
Recently, a friend of mine went to visit our friend that goes to school in New York. They went to Veniero's and
brought back some dessert for me. This is Chocolate Raspberry Mousse tart, and it's so good! The chocolate mousse practically melts in your mouth because it's so soft and creaming, and the raspberries survived the airplane ride back because they still tasted really good. The crust part is crumbly, and I really like that about the crust on tart desserts.
The interior of Veniero's is really pretty, I remember it being gold and it practically shined in there, but then again I was tired from walking, so maybe I was delirious haha! (; Regardless if you've ever in New York, definitely visit Veniero's for some dessert.

When the weather is cold, I shop for makeup, accessories, and nail polish, but when the weather warms up, I'm back to shopping for clothes. I just love spring and summer clothing because of the bright colors, the loose fabrics, and the soft material. I've been really liking sheer blouses and tops because they just look so effortless and easy, but still dressy and cute (;
I went to Savers and
picked up two blouses. The first on the left is a mint blouse with pleats running down the front. It has loose puff sleeves, which makes it really feminine looking. The best part is that it's a mint color, and I've always loved that color, but this spring it's been a really big hit! I plan on wearing this with some leggings and flats or maybe some heels if I'm feeling a bit more daring. The blouse on the right is white button up blouse, and what I like about it is that the buttons are hidden. I really don't like buttons, and I'm not exactly sure why, but whenever I buy things with buttons, they'll either be the same color as the fabric so you can't really see it or they're hidden underneath the fabric. This white blouse is just going to be really cute for spring and summer to wear tucked into shorts for that high low effect, and because it's so simple, I'll be able to have a lot of fun accessorizing with it.
Both blouses were $4, at Savers, so a total of $8 for two beautiful blouses. Luuuxers, this is why I love thrifting (:
What are your favorite spring trends?

We decided to eat out today, nobody was really in the mood to cook anyways! We went to my favorite Pizza place in our area, Pizza My Heart. They have a lot of store locations, and I think I've mentioned it enough that most of you have probably already heard of it (;
Tonight, I ordered their Mushroom Pizza and a Chicken Walnut Salad. I got the salad for free because we eat there enough that now
we have a lot of stamp cards filled up, I always tend to lose them and find them randomly, so we have a collection of half filled up cards! It takes six slices to get a free salad. I really like this particular salad over the ones they have because I like the walnuts and the vinaigrette dressing, whereas their other salads have thicker dressings. Today the Mushroom Pizza had some pesto sauce on it for some reason, it might be an accident or intentional, but either way it tasted really good. If you have ever just bought mushrooms and stuffed them with pesto sauce and cheese, that's pretty much what this pizza tasted like. Delicious!
Again, I highly recommend checking out Pizza My Heart if you haven't already. Their slices range from $3.25-$4.00, but I think it's worth it for how delicious their pizza is!

I am debating on whether or not to invest in these studded sandals from Sam Edelman. I went to Nordstrom to try on a pair of Sam Edelman Nell Wedge Sandals, but they did not carry that style. The person helping me told me that the Sam Edelman Georgina was in the same style, but just did not have the wedge. I am happy that he seemed knowledgeable about all the shoes. I decided to try the Georgina
because I figured even if I don't like them, at least I can figure out what my shoe size is in Sam Edelman, and just purchase the Sam Edelman Nell Wedge Sandals online.
The Georgina is a gorgeous pair of sandals. It has leather straps and it's cushioned to keep your feet comfortable. I love the stud detailing on the sandals, it just looks so edgy and sparkly, but honestly I thought the studs looked a lot nicer online than in person. In person, the crystals are a little dull and not as sparkly. Also, I didn't like the Sam Edelman shoe box. It has a black cover and a lime green box, which some people might like, but for a $200 of sandals, you would want a nicer box.
I liked these, but I don't think I like them as much as the Sam Edelman Nell's, which was what I had my heart set on to begin with. The major difference is the price point. These Georgina sandals are $119, and the Nell wedge sandals are $200. However, since the Nell is a wedge sandal, it could double as heels for me, so I don't think I mind the price difference that much. I know it is a lot of money to spend on a pair of sandals, but I don't own any sandals. Whenever I buy shoes, I wear them for years and I definitely get my money's worth, whether it's a pair of $10 flats or a pair of $60 boots. That's just how I spend my money with shoes, I only buy styles I really like, and I just wear them until I really can't anymore (;
I would pay more for that added height, but I really don't know. Should I get these sandals or the wedge sandals?

Ranting and Raving About the Nordstrom Shoe Department (don't read this part if you don't want to haha)
Lastly, I did not like the customer service at the Nordstrom shoe department in my area. The gentleman that was helping me, was really kind and extremely knowledgeable and was really genuine. He even brought out other shoe options that I did not ask for because the thought I would like those styles. He checked up on me, even though he seemed to be busy with quite a few other customers. However, before he approached me, the others were really rude, and I would consider myself an easy customer to work with; I don't make a lot unnecessary demands nor do I expect them to wait on me hand and food, even if I am dissatisfied with my food or the service, I don't make a fuss or send the food back, I just don't go out of my way to go back to the place again. The first lady that asked me if I needed any help, I told her I wanted to try on a pair on the Sam Edelman Nells and I also showed her a pair of flats I wanted to try. She said to me "That's not my job." and I was like "Oh I'm sorry, do you know who can assist me?", and she pointed to this other across the room. I thanked her, and gave me this sigh and a look as if she was really annoyed with me. I just figured she was having a bad day, so I didn't take offense to it. When I approached the other man, he said "Yes? Can I help you?" and I told him I wanted to try on the shoe, he said "Go over there" and pointed at the desk counter. I was bothered by his attitude because he said it as if I was disrupting him. I watched him from the desk as I waited for another person to help me, and he just stood in his area watching this woman try on shoes; he was not that busy, and even if he was busy that still would not have justified his attitude. At the desk, the gentleman told me that someone would be out to assist me shortly, I waited about 10 minutes, and the gentleman that ended up helping me had actually come up to me and said "Honey you've been waiting a while huh? We're a little busy today, so if you wouldn't mind I can help you." He was so helpful, and had the sweetest smile, and it really made my day. I suppose I won't never go back to Nordstrom shoe department, but if I do, I'll try to find this man again (:
At the end of the day, it's just better to spin things to positive way. I did end up having a good experience, and I would be kidding myself if I said I would never go back just because of the two rude people I encountered, and let's face it girls, the shoes at Nordstrom are just too cute!
Have you ever had a bad customer service experience? If so where was it, and how did you handle it?

I am not a big fan of energy bars or energy drinks, I think most them taste really awful and probably aren't too good for you unless you're a very active person. I think if I ran 3-4 miles a day, then it would be justified to eat these, but for a normal person it seems a little too much.
Before our exam, the class before us had a ton of food left after their class party, so they offerred us
some. I picked up a Cliff Bar because they seemed to be the one thing that was going the fastest, so I thought I would give a try. I have to say it did not taste as bad as I thought it would. It tastes like a mashed up granola bar because it had little oat chunks, almond slices, and fruit chunks from the cherry. It was sweet and chewy, and not sticky at all, which I liked because most granola bars are a little sticky with the honey or whatever is holding them together.
I don't have a lot of need for energy bars, so I probably wouldn't purchase this myself, but if I ever feel ambitious enough to go on some intense exercise/workout routine, then I'll probably choose the Cliff Bars.
Do you like energy bars? Have you ever tried Cliff Bars?

I have seen a few food posts about Greek Yogurt, and I have really been wanting to try it. I never understood what the difference between regular Yogurt and Greek Yogurt is, but now that I've tried it, I think Greek Yogurt just has more of a tart taste to it. I can understand why not everyone would like this because it's a very strong taste.
I decided to get the Chobani Greek Yogurt because
that was the only brand I saw that had the peach flavor, and I love peach yogurt! It's really big serving size compared to Yoplait yogurt; at least it felt that way. This and a granola bar is all I had for breakfast the other day, and it was enough to last me until lunch time. When I first started eating this, I didn't know that you had to mix it, so I was wondering why there was no peach flavor, but then I hit the middle and peaches and the flavoring just gushed out, so I mixed it, and the yogurt tasted a lot better.
Overall, I had a good experience with this, and I'm going to try more Greek Yogurt flavors and other brands.
Have you tried Greek Yogurt before? What brand is your favorite?

I love baked potatoes, and this is a Loaded Baked Potato soup from Safeway. It is a cheddar soup, which tastes a lot like that soup in a Broccoli Cheddar Soup. There are large potato chunks and bacon pieces mixed into the chowder. The potatoes are not skinned, so sometimes you'll get bits of potato skins in the soup. The bacon pieces tastes like the frozen bacon shreds you can purchase in packs
from the frozen foods section.
I purchased a medium bowl for about $3. It's really filling for one meal, so all I had with it was a drink and a granola bar. The soup can get really salty towards the end, and I wish they had some added green vegetables like celery, onions, or broccoli to help balance the heaviness of the chowder-like soup and large potato chunks. It wasn't a bad soup, but still, I would probably never repurchase this just because it was too thick and didn't have other vegetables to balance out the taste and consistency.
Have you ever tried Loaded Baked Potato Soup?

Friday's is one of the nicer American restaurants in our area. In the past, my friends and I have celebrated birthdays and other events there. I've never thought the food was anything spectacular, I think most people go there for the environment. I saw this frozen meal at Safeway for $3.29, so I decided to pick it up for lunch.
I have never tried beef Stroganoff before, so this is my first
time. I know it can't compared to homemade, but I doubt I can make it any better than this frozen meal! Overall, I actually quite liked this frozen meal for Prime Rib Beef Stroganoff. The prime rib was real tender and not dry at all. It was also flavored, and I think it's black pepper and some salt because it had a really strong pepper flavor, but wasn't all that spicy. The sauce was a good consistency and reminded me a lot of the gravy you put in mashed potatoes. The noodles were those ruffled noodles, and they were the perfect texture for pasta noodles; not too hard, not too soggy.
My only complaint was that there wasn't enough! Other than that I would highly recommend this (:
Have you tried this before? Have you ever had Beef Stroganoff?

I love Jalapeño Cheddar chips, and these chips are by Friday's. You can actually get $5 off your next meal at Friday's if you bring in this chip bag, but I probably won't be doing that.
These chips have the same shape and texture as Cheetos. They have a good crunch to them and are a little cheesier in flavor compared to Cheetos. They have that added kick from the Jalapeño flavor, but aren't
spicy at all. I did find that a little disappointing, I feel like if it's Jalapeño flavor, it should be at least a little spicy; if not flaming hot! Instead it just has a subtle Jalapeño after taste behind that cheese that let's you know there's some Jalapeño flavor in there, but you can barely taste it because of the overwhelming taste of the cheese.
I do think they tasted pretty good at first, but after a while I got sick of the flavor, so I will probably never purchase this again.
It cost $1.50 at a local snack shop. If you think about it, for such a small bag of chips, it really wasn't worth it.
Have you tried Friday's Jalapeño Cheddar chips before?

Ever since my family got the KFC Chicken Pot Pie without me, I've been craving some pot pie. I purchased this pot pie from the Safeway frozen meals section. It's the Banquet Chicken Pot Pie, and it was only 99 cents.
All you need to do to prepare it is microwave for 1:00, slice it down the middle, and microwave for another 4:00. I really didn't like this chicken pot pie at all. First of all,
the chicken was dark meat and tasted really gross because it didn't taste fresh at all. I wouldn't expect any meat in a frozen meal to be fresh, but it should at least taste like meat. The vegetables, like the peas and carrots all tasted really gross as well, they had no flavor to them because they have probably been kept frozen for a while. Next, the sauce in the pot pie was not flavorful at all, it just tasted like a salty mess. There was no real flavor too it, it was very plain and flat. Lastly, the crust of the pot pie wasn't crispy enough, it had a really mushy and soft texture.
Even though it was really affordable, I will never purchase this again. I would rather spend a little more money and get the Marie Calendar's Chicken Pot Pie!
Have you tried this chicken pot pie before? Do you like chicken pot pie?
