So the biggest question, is which one do I want? Do I sell my classic set at a reduced rate, to turn around and buy the purple or the coral? I am definitely that into the color brushes to consider doing this. According to the website, you can’t buy them individually as of yet. Simone is so on top of her game though, I don’t doubt that won’t happen in the future. Customer satisfaction is her primary goal and I’m sure she’s already had people asking for such. I’d even be interested in being able to pick which color each brush would be. I’d have a rather fun, rainbow kit to dress up my collection.
Just before Christmas, I was tasked to go out and create a wish list. Of course, on the first go round, my wishlist consisted of nothing but items that I would never be getting unless my husband has been hoarding money in a secret account.
Once my DH (Darling Husband) finished laughing, he sent me to MACY’s to look for a gift. Champagne tastes…beer budget. I mean, sure, if I was
completely selfish, I could have purchased these items – but then what kind of role model would I be? I want my children to know the importance of giving and not focus on the receiving. These are major wish list items, that might one day be mine. Might. The DH does play the lottery every week in Washington, DC. ROTFL.
Anyway, I went to Macy’s and I looked around. I really wanted a purse. I found one that I liked, but I decided against it. NOW, I’m kicking myself in the butt because I keep thinking about it. I went back to Macy’s – it was gone. TEAR! Not to mention, by that point my husband had already ordered my presents (gorgeous jewelry).
So, on the top of my wish list for 2011 is this purse.
LUCKY BRAND ABBEY ROAD LEATHER BAG
It’s gorgeous. I am so annoyed with myself. I held it in my hands. I placed it on my shoulder. I thought, I like how it hangs over. This is cute. Then, I placed it back on the rack and walked over to the Coach section. Then, left the store.
I would purchase it today, but I am about to make a very big purchase that I will share with you as soon as I do. It has NOTHING to do with fashion and everything to do with F-U-N! An adventure I hope YOU will join me on. But more on that soon!
Tell me below…
What are you currently coveting that you hope you will get in the future? How many of you got stocked up with gift cards this Christmas? What will you use them on? Happy spending! Just don’t buy the last one of these.
As I mentioned in previous videos, if I can make a video connect to the characters in my novel, Unusual You, then I will. This is a gorgeous simple green look that anyone can wear, but I see my main character Carri (AKA Carrington) wearing.
Get your MAC or your Maybelline or your Coastal Scents or your pigments or whatever else you use and let's get this look started!
Don't forget to answer
the questions I asked in the beginning:
1. Do you like my new dark hair color?
2. Do you wear darker hair colors in the winter months?
3. What do you think of the Green eyes look?
You heard it here. I figure if you are going to come out and tell the truth - might as well do it for the whole world to hear.
HAVE NO FEAR CIBU!
I will be back...as soon as this shampoo & conditioner runs out!
I love the peppermint that is in this shampoo and conditioner and would never leave Cibu if they made a product that felt like this.
Do you watch this show? If your answer is NO - then what is wrong with you? :) Would you wear this makeup look?
Correction -- In the video I said Nina Dobrev was from Bolivia - she was born in Bulgaria. Sorry!
Yes, Unusual You is being looked at by another literary agent. Fingers crossed she is intrigued by the chemistry of Rykeir and Carri!
In the comments below, tell me which team

If you are a busy mom or someone that doesn't have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings, you are going to want to try some batiste dry shampoo. This product have become a saving grace and necessity in my hair arsenal.
Introduced to the world of dry shampoo by Cibu, my life was changed the day I was able to skip the wash and spray my hair instead. However, due to problems with the
packaging, Cibu's dry shampoo had to be pulled from the shelves and my bliss was gone.
When I was introduced to batiste dry shampoo, I discovered not only does it smell great, your hair looks great. Coming in a multitude of fragrances, you not only get oil-free shine without washing your hair every day, you get whichever scent you want as if you were applying a body splash.
Whether you want light and fruity, floral, or sensual and perfume-y, there is a scent for everyone. To make it even better, now you can purchase batiste dry shampoo for colored hair.
Be sure you follow the directions so you don't spray too close to your scalp. If you do a white powdery residue will appear. Work it from roots to tips with either your fingers or a natural bristle brush. The more you use it, the more accustomed you will become to positioning and spray time.
I received the original and the "blush" (floral scented) to review, but if you have Sally's, I believe you can find these products there. If not, check out the link above for Amazon deals.
Save the water. Save you time. Look amazing.
Have you tried dry shampoo? Let me know what you think of it
One of the biggest complaints from people that don't like to spend the over $10 USD MAC price tag is that you have to layer the polish to get the color in the bottle.
I have figured out a way to get around that.
I have quite a few black polishes and one of the first ones I purchased was the Zoya Dovina polishes that has a matte finish. Never sure when to wear it, ultimately I never
do.
After doing a few swatches on my hand, I discovered the MAC Bad Fairy didn't go on as bright as I wanted. Slam packed with sparkles/glittery gorgeousness, I removed the polish and grabbed the matte polish. One perk to Zoya polishes is that you barely need to apply two coats and the matte finishes dry in next to no time.
Pleasantly surprised at how great the Zoya turned out, I fought the urge to apply the Bad Fairy at all. Hypnotized by the color, I quickly scratched the original thought and applied Bad Fairy. As you can see from the picture above, if you are a pink lover -- this is the color for you.
Bad Fairy is right because I was entranced by this color! (hardy har har)
Back when Essie first came out with their matte polish, it was NOWHERE to be found where I live. I wanted to try it some kind of bad, but had no way of getting my hands on it. I talked about it and searched and all for not. A beautiful subscriber of mine emailed me and told me she found a matte polish by OPI that she wanted to send.
Of course I wanted it! When it came i quickly put it on top
of my polish, but realized it wasn't that kind of matte polish (I know, I know don't say anything). After actually READING the label (I know, great concept who would've thunk it), I realized this particular polish was a strengthener that works to cover just about anything you might have wrong with your nail.
Wearing acrylic nails can do a number on your natural nails, creating ridges and scratches on the surface. I learned that if I apply this as my base coat, the polish dries very quickly and gives a smooth surface. This polish has become a holy grail item in my nail arsenal for my DIY glue on nails.
When you use nails from Kiss, Broadway, or Nailene, they sometimes are too slick for the polish to adhere properly. To give you a quick chemistry lesson, nail polish forms covalent bonds (C-C or carbon bonds to carbon for non-science geeks) with the keratin that makes up your nails. This is a very strong bond that can't easily be broken and that's why we have to use remover - to break the bonds. I noticed the plastics don't create as strong a bond. Also, the plastic nails have a tendency to absorb a lot of polish.
To assist in that, I use this polish first on my glue on nails THEN apply my polish. Not only does the polish stay longer - it doesn't take a whole bottle to paint my nails. It's a WIN-WIN!
Do you use this? If not...what are you waiting for?
