I tried these at a christmas market last year and loved them. I always thought you needed special equipment to make them but i came across this amazing recipe.
You need:
200g (7oz) plain flour
150g (5oz) caster sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
vegetable oil (to deep fry)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
FOR THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
100g (3 1/2oz) plain chocolate
1
1/2 tablespoon golden syrup
125ml (4fl oz) double cream
1. Put flour, 60g of caster sugar and the baking powder in a bowl and stir. Beat in olive oil and 250ml of boiled water from the kettle. Keep mixing until dough is warm combined and sticky. Put to one side.
2. One-third fill a large pan with vegetable oil and heat up.
3. While the oil is heating, mix the rest of the sugar and the cinnamon together.
4. When the oil is ready fill a piping bag fitted with a 5mm star nozzel with dough. Do them in about 10cm each. then put them in the hot oil until golden which is when they will be cooked. Lift out onto a baking sheet lined with kitchen paper then put the sugar mixture.
5. When your done cooking the churros put all the ingredients for the chocolate sauce in a pan and gently melt together over a low heat.
I hope you enjoy this and if you like this recipe please let me know and i can do more as I havent done a recipe before.
Burts bee's have bought out these new tinted lipbalms which are gorgeous. There are 6 colours in total ans they are split into 3 groups, Natural, Pink and Red. I have the two pink shades, Hibiscus (above) and Pink Blossom. Like I have found with all the Burt's Bee's products these are great quality. I love the brand because of the fact all the products ingredients are natural which is great for
your skin as there are no chemicals or parabens in them. The taste of the lipbalm is quite sweet and they are so moisturising. The colour payoff is nice to if you dont really want it to be too obvious your wering something (if that makes sense?)
They cost £5.99 but are definatly worth it so if your near somewhere that sells Burt's Bee's go and check these out.
I was just wondering if any of you have tried the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred exercise dvd? I'm thinking about getting it and it seems good to fit in everyday life as its apparently 20 mins a day. The reviews seem good and a lot of people lost a stone but im wondering if it will have a benefit on me cause im about average weight. I dont want to waste my money please let me know what you think?
The first tangle teezer in my house was for my sister who has extremely long curly hair and my mum found it such a pain to brush though and detangle everyday. When she ordered the tangle teezer before they became famous life became easier in terms of brushing my sisters hair. She must have had it for at least 4-5 years now and its still going strong. I have two too - the black and gold one and
the plain black one. I love them so much they make your hair really silky and they are so worth investing in, they are only about £10 and when they last so long its so worth it.
What do you think about tangle teezers?
As you may have guessed by now bourjois is one of my favourite drugstore brands. It is near the top end of the price range but most of the products are worth the money in my opinion. This compact powder infact isnt one I would spend the money on again. It costs around £8.50 but is quite often on 3 for 2 which is the only time I wold get it again. Dont get me wrong its a good product but
comparable to rimmel stay matte powder which is about £4 so quite a big price difference. I love that you get a mirror in this product but the sponge applicator that it comes with is a bit of a waste. There are only 4 shades aswell 2 are very pinky and the other 2 are quite yellowy creamy.
Have any of you tried this what do you think?
Pixie lott is super beautiful. She has amazing fashion sense and wears the most gorgeous clothes. She even has her own range of clothes at lipsy London which I dont think are as nice as most of the clothes she normally wears but they are still beautiful. She actually has the most amazing legs in the world, I am so jealous. She is seriously one of the most naturally beautiful women in the media.
What do you think about her?
Una Healy from the saturdays is pregnant with her boyfriend Ben Foden. I think she will be a great mum and at this time she's saying that she will still be taking part in the Saturday's tour during December when she will be 6 months pregnant. The big question is, is how is this going to affect the band. Often its after a member has a baby that bands break up. What do you think?
Bourjois Volume fast and perfect mascara is a great mascara and very original too. It has a rotating brush which can rotate either way dedending on what way you want it to go. Bourjois say that the rotating brush gives you fake looking lashes in just 30 seconds. I would reccomend this mascara but i would wait to buy it until it is on some sort of offer as i think its about £11.99 which is a lot
for a mascara. A few weeks ago in boots i believe it was about £7.99 so a really good saving.
This mineral foundation/bronzer from bourjois is amazing. It has a half and half twisty thing covering the product half at a time. In half there is a skintone colour powder and the other side is a bronzer. The point of the twisty thing is so that you can get your desired shade or so you can use them both seperatly which is what I personally do. I think its available internationally an it costs
£9.99 which i would say is reasonable but you could get a good powder or a good bronzer individually with a lot more product in than this for cheaper.
Next year im going to america and i love browsing on the bath and body works website. There is so much to choose from and i cant wait to go to an actual shop and get loads of products. I was just wondering what i should get like whats your favourite scent of bodyspalsh and perfume and candles and things? I'm so excited and need a few suggestions xx
