Wow, long time no see Luuux! Sorry for the absence! School has been quite a load lately. Anyways, I thought I’d update you all with my very first BzzKit! If you’re unsure what a BzzKit is, well it is a box of sample products and/or coupons that companies send to BzzAgent for consumers to try out. After trying out these products, consumers are to give their honest opinions about the products.
For my BzzKit, I was required to do an absorbency test demonstration between an Always Infinity Pad and an Always Maxi Pad.
What came in my BzzKit:
-16 (one box) Always Infinity Heavy Flow Pads with wings
-3 Always Regular Maxi Pads
-Set of demonstration instructions
-7 $1 OFF coupons
First, let me start off by saying that I bet most females out there rarely talk about feminine hygiene products with other females. Why? Well it’s pretty much a “taboo” topic to bring up; it makes us feel uncomfortable sharing what we use during “that time of the month.” But honestly, I think it’s important for us women to share what products really work and what makes “Mother Nature” feel a bit more comfortable.
Background of the Always Infinity Pad: InfinicelTM is the reason why these pads feel so light! This technology allows it to absorb up to 55% more fluid! Wow that’s pretty amazing I will say! It allows for nonstop absorbency for up to 8 hours. The dual Flexi-Wing® design gives a more secure protection since it fits the curvature of your underwear better. And lastly the MicrodotsTM is magic behind the reason why this pad absorbs super-fast! And best of all it is super soft and comfortable!
To test the absorbency of each pad, I placed ~30 blue drops of water on half of the pad. While I was placing drops on the Always Infinity Pad, I noticed how quickly the fluid absorbed. Wow it works fast! After dropping ~30 drops, I waited 60 seconds for the fluid to absorb. After the wait, I folded each pad in half and pressed to see if it would transfer to the other half. While I was pressing, I noticed that the Always Maxi Pad felt wetter than the Always Infinity Pad. Also, the Always Maxi Pad was quite messy to work with! The core padding fell apart! There was a bit of transfer on both pads. However, the Infinity Pad seemed to absorb better since it was less wet, and the fluid absorbed was distributed evenly. Also, this pad had a cleaner look to it. Meaning no more messes!
I personally tested these pads out and I am now a believer of these Always Infinity Pads! What I love about these is that they are super thin and light. And best of all, they are comfortable; I almost forgot that I was even wearing a pad! I remember back in the days when I used to wear those Always Maxi Pads, man were they ever thick! It felt like I was wearing diapers! If you dislike that “feeling” you should definitely give these Always Infinity Pads a try! Remember, a happy period is a comfortable period!
Check out my video for the demonstration!
*Disclaimer* P&G Always Infinity sent me these sample products and coupons for review through BzzAgent.
Have you tried these Always Infinity Pads before?

Rumours have been said that Adele has recently given birth to a baby boy this past Friday! It was just months ago that she announced she was pregnant! Time sure does fly by. It really is exciting news that a new bundle of joy has been welcomed into the world for Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki. Information and photos have not been released yet, but I cannot wait to see pictures of their
baby boy. I wish them the best of luck as parents, and am guessing that they will be wonderful parents!
On a side note, I am predicting that Adele sure will be super busy this coming year, especially with the recent release of her new song Skyfall, and now the birth of her first child. Hopefully pictures and information will be released before the end of this year!
P.S. If you haven't heard Skyfall yet, you should definitely check it out!
Are you excited about the news? Do you like the song Skyfall?

I am quite happy to say that I received my very first Luuux Prize; Tall Chestnut UGGs! When I first started Luuuxing, I was sceptical that I would receive anything, since the thought of blogging and getting rewarded prizes was too good to be true. I did think Luuux was a gimmick, but I am happy to say that it sure is not one! You can now officially add me to the “list” of Luuuxers who
successfully received their prizes! So for those who are still iffy about Luuux, please let me be an example that Luuux is not a scam!
Here is how the order worked out:
Order created: 5/24/2012
Order processed: 5/29/2012
Order completed: 6/25/2012
Prize received: 10/7/2012
Unfortunately the shipping process did take a lot longer than I thought. On my receipt (from the company), it said that it was shipped out on 6/25/2012?! I really wonder how it took 3.5 months for it to be shipped from the US to Canada? If it were being shipped from Europe, then I would understand. But from the US, that is quite strange…but nonetheless, I am extremely happy to receive them!
These are my first pair of UGGs! Mainly the reason why is because in Canada, at least where I live, a pair of Tall UGGs cost $285 without taxes! They are way overpriced compared to the US, and I personally don’t think it would be worth it. And as a University student, I just don’t have that much free spending money lying around. But otherwise, I am happy to have gotten them through the help of Luuux! I have noticed that the boots are now $1800 Luuux $ more than what I got them for.
These are a great addition since where I live in Canada; it snows for about 5 months or more! So it would be lovely to have warm feet during the long brutal winter months. I am glad to have received them before the huge winter storms! But sadly, last week there was a light snowfall, but has cleared up now.
As for first impressions, I am pleased to have received real UGGs, since I have seen posts about some Luuuxers receiving fake UGGs! I am glad to have not gotten fake ones, or I would be unhappy about going through another long wait of getting real ones. I decided to order a size 5 since it was recommended to downsize since real UGGs do stretch. I chose the Chestnut UGGs since I believe they would go well with everything. Tall over the Short ones because the snow is so deep here ha. I do like the fact that real UGGs send you a “letter” of how to authenticate your UGGs; if the “special” label changes colours that can be found on the box and inside the boots. As for fit, they do fit a bit snug, but will eventually stretch out. The inside is so soft and I love how they are super warm! I literally can’t wait to wear these all winter long!
Now onto outfits, I do believe that UGGs go well with mostly everything. I could see myself pairing them with a casual shirt and jeans, or leggings and a comfy sweater. They could also maybe look “cute” with tights and a dress. The options really are endless, but it really depends on what you pair them with. The only thing I dislike about them would be the fact that, once they become worn down, they turn into “elephant feet!” See the video attached! I literally see elephant feet all over campus during the winter! But I guess comfort > than looks ha.
As for thank yous, I would like to thank A. Leung for helping me with all of my questions and problems. She was very patient and helpful with all of my concerns; such a doll! If you have a chance, check out her page, she has great posts! I would also like to thank the moderator who audited my posts! Whoever you are, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to go through all of my posts, and checking to see if I needed to fix them; luckily I didn’t! I didn’t lose any Luuux $! I would also like to thank Ana; she works for Luuux and was nice to ask me for my size and colour! Lastly I would like to thank all of you Luuuxers who follow, comment or rate my posts. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and really helps me continue blogging! I have met so many wonderful people here!
P.S. What I have learned since December 2011 (when I first started) is that Luuux is not mainly about the reward; it is about having fun while you blog. If you are only focused about getting rewards, you won’t enjoy writing posts, you won’t enjoy the full potential of what Luuux has to offer. So for those who are only focused on getting the prize, word of advice, relax and start living; enjoy the real meaning behind the Luuux community! Honestly I can tell you that I love sharing my thoughts about products that I have tried, and I love reading and learning about other people’s experiences.
What prize are you saving up for?

I am happy to say that I have successfully completed nine products for the past month of September! You could say that I am motivated to finish my products due to all of the wonderful monthly finished products posts that I have read! I sure wasn’t expecting to finish nine products, may be only 4 the maximum, so I am completely surprised to exceed by 5 products!
What I have finished:
-Bath
and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar Hand Cream: I love the way this hand cream made my hands feel afterwards. Unfortunately this one has been discontinued for a while now. :( I received this as a gift a few years back and decided to finish it as part of my Project 10 Pan.
-Lush Retread Conditioner: This is my HOLY GRAIL conditioner! I have been using this for a while now and have noticed great improvements to my hair! This is highly recommended and will be repurchasing a new one soon!
-Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me: This is my favourite Baby Lips ever! Has great payoff and would recommend this. I have stocked up on these during sales, so no need to repurchase ASAP ha.
-Lush Coco Lotion Body Lotion: This was also part of my Project 10 Pan. Great unscented lotion if you have allergies to scented stuff. Very soothing lotion if you have a rash, hives, etc. I would repurchase if the price were not so steep! I can find other similar lotions that are a fraction of the price.
-Crabtree & Evelyn La Source Hand Cream: Also part of my Project 10 Pan. Great hand cream for the dry winter months. Very light scent, so great if you don’t enjoy highly scented products. It smells like the beach?
-Bath and Body Works Pink Grapefruit Body Lotion (X2): Again part of my Project 10 Pan. This is only available during their Semi-Annual Sale. Great price for $3 a bottle. I got these last June and thought it was a great scent at the time, but now, not so much. I find this scent too sweet for me now… :/ And I still have 3 bottles to go!
-Bath and Body Works Mango Mandarin Body Lotion: Also part of my Project 10 Pan. This has now become discontinued and only available during their Semi-Annual Sale. This was my favourite scent throughout high school, but have not enjoyed it as much any more. Still have a few more bottles to finish ha.
-Lush Celestial Moisturizer: This is my favourite moisturizer right now! I will definitely be repurchasing this again! If you want to read my review about it, you can click here.
I still can’t believe I finished so many products in one month! Now I am excited to finish more of my products! Thanks for the inspiration Luuux!
What products did you finish in September?

A new salon just opened up where I live and I decided to stop by to see what things they sold. I really like going to new salons, because I am really interesting in what products they have to offer that aren’t offered elsewhere. And I am glad to say that they offer some polishes that are hard to find here. And two of those polish brands would be Orly and Finger Paints. They also carry OPI,
China Glaze and a few other brands I haven’t seen before.
What I picked up (Left to Right):
-Orly Meet Me Under The Mistletoe: Lovely emerald green polish filled with green flecks. At certain angles, you can see gold.
-Orly Royal Blue: Bright royal blue that is filled with teal/blue flecks.
-Orly Red Velvet: Dark purple polish with a metallic blue duochrome effect.
-Orly Spazmatic: Bright blue hex glitter that also has blue shimmer. This polish is meant to be layered over black to create a “dramatic” effect.
-Orly Fowl Play: Dark purple jelly with orange, yellow and green flakie. It also contains blue shimmer.
-Finger Paints Art You Wondering?: Sheer polish filled with teal glitter.
I will say that the price for each bottle is more expensive than buying it at Sallys, but Sallys is really far from where I live. I am surprised that they sell older polishes from their previous collections, since most salons discontinue carrying them. I am really happy to have found Fowl Play since it’s considered a “hard polish to find” by some people. Can’t wait to give these a try!
Do you like Orly or Finger Paints polishes?

Even though the weather is not so great outside, I couldn’t resist myself from picking this Green Tea ice cream cake from the local Asian grocery store. Green Tea is by far my favourite ice cream flavour, which is weird since many people don’t expect me to like such things. But nonetheless, I like odd foods that most people dislike (like calamari). But when it comes to frozen yogurt, it’s
raspberry. I haven’t tried the Green Tea flavoured one yet, maybe I should. It might change from raspberry to Green Tea!
Originally I wasn’t going to pick this up, since my freezer is quite full of frozen microwaveable food. Reminder, I am still learning how to cook on a stovetop. But I couldn’t resist myself when I saw it on sale and also, because I haven’t had Green Tea ice cream in a long time.
The ice cream cake is quite big and is plenty for one person (me!). I really like the creamy taste of it, but what I really dislike is the “cookie” part of the cake. It looks like Oreo cookies, but it tastes gross. The cookie part was really salty and all in all terrible. I only like eating the Green Tea part. Can’t get enough of it! I am guessing that I will finish this cake in no time since I could just eat this for dinner ha. Think I'm going to hit the gym afterwards. :P

Deborah Lippmann’s Mermaid’s Dream has been on my wish list ever since I saw swatches of it. But unfortunately I had to wait months before it was available where I live. I was over joyed when I received a phone call from the store saying that this polish was in stock. So I knew I had to pick it up right away. I just couldn’t wait to open the package, unscrew the cap and start using this
gorgeous polish. But right as I unscrewed the cap, my heart broke.
The brush of the polish was not attached to the cap, making it literally impossible to paint my nails! I was really disappointed at how this polish passed inspections before it was shipped out. For paying $22, you would expect top-notch quality. But unfortunately this polish was a mere disappointment.
I have never experienced such a thing with Deborah Lippmann’s other polishes. The other polishes I own from her line had great quality and the brush was really sturdy (but I bought them way before). I wonder if the quality is going down since the demand of her polishes are going up. And to make a bigger profit, the company would have to make the polishes in the cheapest way possible. Just a thought… Hopefully this Mermaid’s Dream I got was a fluke and their polishes are still in great quality.
I am definitely planning on going back to the store tomorrow to see if they are willing to exchange this polish for me. Hopefully they will disregard the “nail polishes are final sale” rule and replace this “damaged” bottle of Deborah Lippmann. If they don’t, I sure will be upset and am not so willing to pay another $22 for the same polish.
Have you ever experienced this before?

Some of you may be wondering where I have been for the past two months. Well let me just put it in three simple words: I traveled China! I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to travel China, since it was my very first time. I have always dreamed about exploring Shanghai and climbing the Great Wall ever since I was a child. Not only have I done these this summer, but I have also travelled
to many other new places in China that I have never heard about.
Since there are a vast amount of places to visit in China, I decided to get a lot of help from the Internet and also from many travel books. And from there, I planned out how I wanted to spend my trip in China. My plan was to visit at least one place in Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western China. For the Northern part, I decided to visit China’s capital city, Beijing. For the Southern part, I ventured out to Sanya, which is located in the Hainan region (sunscreen/sun milk was a must). Chengdu was the city I chose to visit for the Eastern region. And lastly, I chose Shanghai to be the Western city to visit.
During my stay in China, all of my senses came alive. My eyes did not only see the beautiful new scenery, but also the class division between the rich and the poor. I saw how different their way of life was compared to mine. My ears did not only hear the mainland language, Mandarin, but also the many different dialects that are found in certain regions. The non-stop sound of traffic was also heard over countless times. My mouth had the best experience of all; many new dishes and snacks were tried. And lastly, I have gotten to meet many new people along the way; not only travellers but also the mainland residents.
A certain someone has requested for me to share my journey in China with you all. So if you are interested in seeing and reading more about my visit to China, keep a look out for more posts!
Have you travelled to China before? Do you want to?

I have been wanting to try lip stains for the longest time, since I dislike the fact how lip sticks, tinted lip balms, etc. disappear after hours. I have seen posts about Revlon’s new Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, but those aren’t available yet where I live. So I decided to give their older lip stains a try. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I decided to take a chance and try them
out.
Anyways, I stopped by a local drugstore to see what colours they had and I decided to pick up 2:
-Revlon Just Bitten in Crave: This is a very dark berry colour. I think it maybe a bit too dark for my liking. But I didn’t swatch them at the store since they didn’t have any testers available. And I would feel bad opening a brand new one and not buying it… The packaging was terribly hard to open and it resulted in my balm end to be dinged. :(
Revlon Just Bitten in Victorian: This is a lighter pink colour. More like a watermelon like colour. As you can tell, it’s way lighter than Crave. But luckily, the balm end was not dinged, since I took great care of taking the packaging off.
Honestly, when I first opened these, first thing I did was smell them. I thought it would be scented like those scented markers. But no, they smelt really awful, like stinky markers. Really disappointed about that part. The reason why I chose Crave was because my lips are naturally really pigmented, so I thought I would get a lip stain that would make a difference. But I may think it’s a bit too bold for my liking. The lip stains are swatched once on my arms.
Have you tried these yet? Or have you tried their new ones?

With a new gym membership comes a new gym bag. For those of you who read or saw my post that I posted a while ago on First Experience at Spa Lady you would know that I joined a new gym (ladies only!). Previously I used my lululemon bag as a gym bag, but it was starting to look a little shabby and was not roomy enough. As a girl, it is in my genes to carry many extra and sometimes unnecessary
things in my bag. So a new gym bag was in great need.
I have been looking around at many places that sell sporting goods, but I had not come across one that I really liked. But when I laid eyes on this bag, I knew I had to get it. Mainly because I am in love with the colour of this bag. I am pretty sure by now most of you know that my favourite colour is teal. My camera does a bad job of picking up the correct colour of the bag; it makes it look more blue. The main colour is teal with neon yellow and black accents. Besides the fact that I love the colour of this bag, Under Armour is one of my favourite sporting brands. Their products have very high quality and are quite comfortable.
The roominess of this bag is perfect. It measures 24.5” X 12.25” X 11.5” or 62cm X 31cm X 29cm and can hold up to 61L. I love how there are many compartments to it. On the front there is a huge pocket and within it there is a mesh pocket and 2 smaller pockets. There are 2 side pockets (different on each end), one side has a shoe pocket, which I love since it doesn’t make your things dirty. And it also has a handle for you to carry; you can also but your team number in the slot so you know which bag is yours. On the other side, it’s a standard pocket. On the back there is a long mesh pocket. The inside of the main compartment has a small zipper pouch. There is also an adjustable strap that comes with it.
I can’t wait to start using it tomorrow when I go to the gym. The colours are very fun and unique. Making me excited to go to the gym; that’s a first ha!
Do you own a gym bag? What’s your favourite sports brand?
