I actually picked this up at my CCO! I know, crazy right?
I love the color, it's a BOLD pink. It's a frost which is the only unfortunate part. I don't like the glitter that's in it. After you wipe it off the glitter stays on your lips and I don't want to eat glitter. So while I love the color I don't reach for it often. I have NARS Schiap which is really similar and is a semi-matte finish, which
I like SO much better.
So if you're dying for this color pick up the NARS lipstick. It's really similar and you don't have to hunt it down and pay ebay prices for it.
This is NARS orgasm blush. It's a REALLY pretty color and i LOVE it. however this particular one is HARD.. I have to scrap the top layer off to be able to use it. I'm sure I just got a defective one because I have a lot of NARS blushes and none of them are like this one.
Anyways, this blush is shimmery so if you're one to hate shimmer, you'll hate this blush. I'd stay away from it.
If you can
get it to show up on your skin though, it's BEAUTIFUL! i looove this blush. I use it really frequently and it really does look amazing paired with albatross highlighter and laguna bronzer.
I love this blush and if it didn't have that hard surface I would like it more.
The left is NARS Strada and the right is Wet N' Wild Kitten.
This isn't 100% of a dupe, but they both are the same color! obviously the first difference is that the wet n wild isn't as pigmented. However if you pack it on, you can get VERY close. That's what I have right now in this picture.
The NARS Strada costs $23, the wet n wild costs $1.99 (I got mine for 99 CENTS!)
NARS strada is a
great color, but $23 is very expensive for one eyeshadow. And Wet n Wild recently with their newest color icon line the pigmentation and all around quality of shadow is very good!
so save your pennies girls!!!
on the LEFT is NARS Alhambra (the left side of the duo) and next to it is Urban Decay's SIN. on the right is Alhambra (the right side of the duo) and next to it is Urban Decay's Half Baked.
Don't they look SO similar? I know Urban Decay isn't "cheap" to call it a dupe, BUT both of the colors are IN the naked palette, which is something most of us already own and if you don't it comes with 12
eyeshadows for $48! a NARS duo costs $33 so YOU tell me which is a good idea!
*the picture is mine
This blush is intense. I have to use the lightest hand possible. It's ORANGE and bold. It's not something I use all the time, it's not my favorite. I wish I would have gotten a pink Rock & Republic blush instead, but this is what I have.
The blush itself is beautiful and the packaging is beautiful as well! it's really heavy and the compact is all around gorgeous. I have to say it's pretty
unnecessary. I like for things to have nicer packaging, but I'm not a sucker for packaging. If it's not functional or a pain in the ass to use, I won't get it [like Urban Decay's book of shadows I don't buy I hate the stupid boxes]
What do you think of this blush? would you have bought it when it was available? I wouldn't buy it now, people are selling these blushes for way too much money.
This blush came out with the liberty of london colletion by MAC. I was so excited to get it, but I have to be honest. I NEVER use it. I just don't like it. I can never put on a small enough amount to make me look like i'm NOT bruised up. I used a stipling brush and I feel like no matter what I always look like I'm bruised.
Maybe I'm too light skinned for this blush, I don't know :(
I really
like the white packaging though!
This blush is really BAM in your face! I got this at my CCO so that's why it's in a pot. MAC doesn't sell the pro blushes in pots anymore :(
It sucks because I do want some of the pro blushes but I don't like having my blushes in a palette... so this is the only one I have.
This blush is definitely RED. I use it with a stippling brush, but I usually use the MAC 131 brush because I feel it's
easier to use to apply blush with :)
I think if you have the opportunity to get this blush you definitely should. It's more affordable then NARS exhibit a, and they're both red blushes, but a little bit different from each other. I own both. If you wanted one or the other I would say you don't need both.
Anyways I really like this blush :)
The MAC 239 is my favorite brush. It's the first MAC brush I ever bought and I'm glad I did! It makes applying eyeshadow to the lid SO easy! I swear it gives off awesome color payoff and really packs on the shadow!
I think this is a really good first brush to buy at MAC.
I use it every single day, so I have to wash it kind of often :(
and how fancy does it feel to have a MAC brush!? come
on! I think it's really worth the money :)
I used Sally Hansen Xtreme wear nail polish in mellow yellow with OPI shatter ontop.
I really like how this came out! It takes no effort and everyone I came across complimented my nails and asked me over and over how I did it. Everyone thought I spent a lot of time making them look like that! I guess not everyone knows about crackle nail polish (LOL).
I want to try with bright orange
underneath, you know... Representing the defending world champions the San Francisco GIANTS. (I Know that's corny but I WANT TO)
let me know what you think! I bought the yellow nail polish specifically to use under the opi shatter :)
I have to say that I NEVER use this brush! I have no idea what I could use it for. I don't wear foundation and I feel like it's a little too small for blush, you know to use for really pigmented blushed (Like NARS exhibit A).
so it mostly just sits in my brush belt looking pretty, because it IS pretty :)
what do YOU use this brush for? maybe it'll give me some ideas...
