If you have not been inside a Cotton On lately what are you waiting for? There are tons of items for as low as $5! You can barely get a Cheeseburger for $5 let along a cute dress or get this a peplum skirt.
My husband took me to the mall Thursday evening to kill sometime before we went to dinner. I had originally wanted to go to Cotton On because I wanted to get one of those peplum tops that
Rachel G. showed in one of her latest hauls. She mentioned they were only $5 so of course I had to go out and get one.
But of course, once I was there, I had to see what else they had on sale. I went straight to their clearance rack where I found a cute peplum skirt...$5, a cute geometric dress...$5...and even an adorable chiffon and faux leather top....$5. Last but not least, I found a cute pair of distressed denim shorts...for also...$5.
I purchased 5 items for only $25. You can't even do that at Target...or even at Walmart.
I already wore the chiffon top with a pair of burgundy faux leather pants (Burgundy will be hot this Fall ladies!), a black blazer and black booties. If you are interested in the top you might want to get it a size down. I usually get my tops in a size medium but had to get this in a size small.
Have you been to a Cotton On lately?
TJ Maxx, this one place I go to and could spend hours there if I could. Well I actually did spent a couple hours at TJ Maxx this last time I was there because I ran into 2 cousins of mine I hadn't talked to in years. So due to all the yapping...I didn't get to do much shopping but did run across some skincare products that I was curious to try.
Every time I tell someone that I want to start
using anti aging products they look at me like I am crazy or something. But the truth is, I am in my late mid twenties and I am not getting any younger so I think it's easier to prevent than to treat. I am no way against botox or anything of that sort but why not prolong the need for that? Therefore I decided to try this night and day cream set out. I am not going to lie, I mainly bought them for the price ($7.99 each), but if they do indeed work for my skin my frugal ways have paid off.
The brand is Cynthia Rowley. Now I know that Cynthia is know for her clothing line but I had no idea she had a skin care line as well. I really like the packaging of these creams because even though they were a steal, they are packaged in a frosted glass container giving them a more luxurious and expensive look.
I know these will not reverse the signs of aging by any means and I don't expect to see much of a difference. But as long as they don't break me out I am happy. I seem to be allergic to anti-aging products or maybe it's my skin telling me to stop worrying about getting wrinkles.
By the way, I have missed you guys! I have been soooo busy lately with my new job and work that I barely have the time and energy to LUUUX.
Have any of you ever purchased skin care products at TJ Maxx before?
It was my birthday yesterday and I had the entire day off from work and school. So of course that meant me catching up on my sleep which seems to be a luxury lately. As soon as I finally got out of bed and into the kitchen I noticed a Sephora bag on the dining table along with a little note.
It was the Naked 2 palette! My hubby knew how much I wanted it but I couldn't justify buying just
because no matter how much he insisted on getting it for me. So I guess he took advantage of the fact that it was my birthday to get me the Naked palette as one of my presents.
I wont go into too much detail on this palette because I am aware that it has been talked about a whole lot her on Luuux and in the blogging world in general but I did want to mention how much I love it! I still can't decide whether I like the original Naked palette or the Naked 2 better but I do know that I love the packaging of the Naked 2 much much more.
The dual sided brush it comes with is genius and I absolutely love the mini lipgloss it came with as well. Overall I think this is a great buy and a great addition to the makeup lovers collection. I get a lot of use out the original Naked palette so I am very positive I will get a lot of use out of this one.
How many of you own this palette and which one do you prefer? The original Naked or Naked 2?
I thought my eBay addiction would have subsided by now but it hasn't.....not that I am complaining. I mean, where else can you get super cute trendy jewelry for as low as 99 cents?
I had been wanting the J Crew bubble necklace for the longest time but there was no way I was willing to spend over $150 on a costume piece of jewelry. Absolutely no way. Therefore, I decided to type in the word
"bubble necklace" on eBay and found a bunch of them that look identical to the ones by J Crew. I purchased my in a turquoise color. Shipping took a while but it was worth the wait. The necklace is gorgeous! I've already received tons of compliments on it! I pair $11.99 for mine but I just bought two more (white and black) for less than $9 from this seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251122197097?var=550163511775&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
My other favorite piece I am loving right now is a skull cuff. For the price I thought I was going to receive some piece of junk but it's really well made! I absolutely love this cuff!
Price: $1.28

I am also really obsessed with this goldtone cuff bracelet with a chain. I have worn it everyday since I received it. I love it so much I decided to order it in silver as well.
Price $2.39

Lastly, I ordered a spike bracelet. This one is my least favorite out of the pieces I have ordered this month. It's cute but looks a little cheap. But still worth the price. It just looked a little better in the picture.
Price: $1.35

Don't you just love eBay?? I do!
Gosh I feel like I haven't been active on LUUUX for such a long time. Needless to say, my schedule as of late has been crazy. But that doesn't mean I haven't done a little bit of shopping....
I went to H&M last weekend in hopes of finding some cute clothes I can wear to my new job. I didn't really find anything that I loved enough to purchase but I did find a couple of accessories that caught
my eye.
I fell in love with this mint scarf the moment I saw it. Some of my most favorite scarves are from H&M so I knew I had to have to this one. It was the last one in this color too. I love how big and fluffy this scarf is! Will be perfect for a pop of color in the Fall.
Price $12.95
Lastly, as I was looking through their belts and came across a really cool looking chain and "leather" belt. It somewhat reminded me of Michael Kors or something of that sort. It's a pretty heavy belt that feels expensive.
Price $12.95
I have a few more hauls to do, so I hope I can post them by tonight!
XOXO
I wanted to start off by apologizing for my absence. I started a new job last Wednesday and have been super super busy. After 3 long years I am finally getting back into the work force and it's been kind of hard getting used to my new schedule. So please bare with me! Also, school semester starts again next week so I've been getting ready for that as well.
I stopped by Target on Sunday to
pick up a few essentials, and like always, checked out their shoe selection. I was looking for a nice comfortable pair of black shoes that I could possibly use for work but was out of luck. I did however find a really cute pair of coral and tan wedges that I had been eyeing since they came out on sale for under $8!
I know Fall is around the corner but where I live, the weather remains hot up until the beginning of November. Therefore, I decided that it wouldn't be such a bad idea if I purchased another pair of wedges especially at this price.
I love the combination of coral and tan so obviously these shoes were cute to me. I also loved the fact that the wedge is not too high which makes them pretty comfortable.
I hope I get a lot of use out of these! If you are looking for cute wedges check out Target! A lot of their Summer wedges are on sale. I saw a lot of cute ones such as nautical striped ones, floral ones, black ones, etc. All at really really low prices.
I have many things I want to post about so I am really hoping I have time!
Have you shopped at Target lately?

One of my favorite comfort foods are tacos. Not your Taco Bell ground beef sort of tacos, but the authentic kind with chopped meat, cilantro, salsa and onions. I make them at home from time to time but occasionally like to order them when I go to Mexican restaurants.
I am a huge fan of Food Network's "Diners Drive Ins and Dives" which is hosted by Guy Fieri. Guy is from Santa Rosa so he
frequently shows places he likes to eat at in Santa Rose one of them being La Texanita.
La Texanita is a small restaurant in Santa Rosa, California, that serves delicious authentic Mexican food. They have every Mexican comfort food you can think of from Chilaquiles, to tacos to Pozole. Ever since I say DDD's episode on this place I knew I had to add this to my list of places to try.
My husband and I decided to spend the weekend in Santa Rosa and Bodega Bay to go to the County Fair as well as visit a few beaches along the Sonoma coast but the first thing we did was grab some lunch at La Texanita. I ended up ordering two tacos with homemade tortillas (omg yum) and one sope (not shown). After one bite I was blown away.....these were probably the best tacos I had ever eaten...hands down. I think what makes them different from other places or even to the ones I make at home is the homemade tortillas. They are soft and absolutely delicious. I also love that they give you jalapenos, radishes and green onions with your order....makes me feel like I am eating my own homemade tacos. Their tacos are really cheap. Their regular tacos are only $1.25 and their homemade tortilla tacos are only $2.00. The sope I ordered was only $3.50 and my husband ordered pozole which was $8.00 for a humongous bowl + tostadas. Everything on their menu is under $16.
The place was super packed! I am not sure if it's because of all the new business their episode on DDD brought them or if it has always been like that. All I know is that their food is amazing as well as their customer service!
We loved this place so much we went back the next day before we headed home!
Here is the restaurant's website if you are interested: http://www.latexanita.com

Have you ever been to this place? Have you ever been to a restaurant because of Diners Drive ins and dives? Whats your favorite Mexican food?
As you probably noticed from some of my latest posts, I have an obsession with the color mint green! Which is why I kind of felt like I need these shoes in my life.
I am starting a 2 days per week Pilates class in a few weeks and I desperately needed to buy a new pair of shoes. I am somewhat of a girly girl so the only pair of sneakers I owned were some Jordan's I bought nearly 8 years ago
(and they are still in really good condition).
When I saw that Nike had came out with an all mint pair I knew I had to grab a pair for myself. But sadly, they ran out of those everywhere! I checked a few stores in at the mall as well as several websites but all of them were completely sold out. That just comes to show you how popular the color mint is this season.
Then I decided to get the super bright coral and pink pair, but then I saw these and figured that these would match more things and were not too in your face like the bright pink ones are. And the fact that they have some mint made me a little less sad about not being able to get my hands on the pair I had originally wanted.
These shoes retail for $90 just about everywhere. But I decided to purchase them online because I knew I could get a much better deal.
I searched Retailmennot for a coupon code I could use on Eastbay.com and found one that gave you a $15 discount on your order of $70.
I ended up getting these for $74.99 + tax and shipping totaling up to $89.17 which is not bad considering the fact that Finishline, Champs and all those other shoe stores at the mall had these for $90 + tax. I will also be getting $2.23 + a $10 Target giftcard for using eBates!!
These shoes are an early birthday present from my mom. She left me some money before she, my dad and sibling left to Mexico for vacation and told me to get myself a new pair of sneakers for my pilates class. My mom is the best! =)
I am in love with these shoes! They are sporty yet girly at the same time. Cute workout clothes and shoes are what motivate me to workout!

Do you own a pair of Nike Free Runs?
I must admit, this was probably the least most exciting campaign I have been invited through via BzzAgent, but I really do love Fresh & Easy so I decided to accept.
For some reason I thought I was going to be sent a few coupons so I can try a few of their prepared meals for free, but instead only received one $2 coupon if you spend $4. Boo...
They did however send me a bunch of rewards
cards I can pass out to friends and family. Again, nothing special, since you can actually get these at any Fresh and Easy store.
But what I was really happy to receive was a really cute reusable shopping tote bag. I love the design of this bag. It has a huge neon green heart in the front. I believe you can get these in store for around $6 or so which is pretty pricey for a tote bag. Therefore I was really happy to get one with this campaign. I love using reusable tote bags to bag my groceries. I usually get mine from Trader Joes or Whole foods but none of them are as cute as this one.
If you have never been to a Fresh and Easy, it's kind of like a Trader Joes store but the huge difference is that there are no cashiers. I actually really love the concept of this store and find it to be very affordable.
If you would like a rewards card, please message me below so I can mail one to you.
Did you get invited to this campaign? Do you ever shop at Fresh & Easy?
It was such a hot day yesterday and all I could do was think about ice cream. To be more specific I was thinking about ice cream cookie sandwiches...and to be even more specific I was craving those from Cream. If you have never heard of Cream, its an Ice Cream Cookie shop in Berkeley that sells all natural cookie sandwiches which you can order to your liking. They are the best ice cream
sandwiches on the planet but Berkeley is about 40 miles away from where I live so I decided to check out Food Co (Kroger).
I didn't think I was going to find anything that caught my attention except for the Skinny Cow sandwiches (which I do love but wanted something different) but then I found these called Big Wheels!
Big Wheels have been around since probably the 70s or 80s but they are still as popular as they were then. I can't believe I had never tried them before. I think it has to do a lot with the packaging, it didn't stand out to me and the cookie sandwiches in the pictures didn't look like they would be any good. But boy was I wrong.
These cookie sandwiches are amazing! The cookies are nice and soft and not too overly sweet. My husband liked them so much he had two of them! They may not be as good as the ones from Cream but they sure did satisfy my sweet tooth.
They come in a box of 6 for $2.50. I ended buying two boxes one in Cookiewich and the other in Cookies n Cream. Both are really good but my favorite would have to be the Cookiewich.
$2.50 is a steal for 6 sandwiches! That makes them 41 cents each. Compared to one at over $2 at Cream (although that's still an amazing deal).
Have you ever tried Big Wheels before?
