Do you love broccoli?
I know I do!
Broccoli, is of course, like al veggies, healthy. But broccoli also does some other amazing things for your body.
For example;
Broccoli helps in preventing cancer and helps to improve your immune system. According to research broccoli also makes you younger as it stimulates your cells to renew.
Broccoli has almost all the vitamines there are in it,
from A to K and it's high in sulforaphane, and also beta carotene and vitamin C. Broccoli also helps to improve your memory and strengthens up your bladder.
If you didn't already love broccoli, will you try to eat it now you know how good it is for you?
Can you imagine, you're ten years old and already the most promising model ever. She has a pretty, clean face, beautiful hair and really long legs. They see her as the new Doutzen, Heidi or Lara and she already has the best contract there is. She was seen on the cover of Vogue Enfants and does a lot of photoshoots.
It's obvious this little girl is beautiful, but 10 years old and already a
supermodel, isn't that a bit too early? What about her childhood.
What do you think of Thylane?
My boyfriend lives on the other side of Holland, in the South of Limburg. Though the most of Holland is pretty flat, Limburg is full of mountains, beautiful streams and forests.
It's absolutely stunning and great for hiking and camping. The weather in Limburg is usually slightly better than in the rest of Holland, so I would consider it to be a perfect place to spend a weekend or week, if you
ever want to visit Holland. It's also cheaper than when you would stay in or near Amsterdam.
People who live in Limburg are usually very active people, they walk or cycle a lot. Everyone practices at least one sports activity and most of them play an instrument. They talk in a dialect which sounds a bit like German, a lot different from the 'normal' Dutch language.
*Please note that these are my own pictures, do not steal.*
Most people in Holland seek for a summer job at a supermarket. Some of them are more creative. Friends of mine work at a chocolate factory, a kids themepark or help at old-age homes.
I found a very nice but tough job at a boarding for animals. They have dogs and cats, but I mostly work with the dogs.
My day usually looks like this;
- Get all the dogs to the outside part of the cage and close
it off.
- Get all their baskets and water bowls etc out of the cages
- than an adult uses the high-pressure sprayer to clean the whole cage and baskets.
- Than we get the cages dry and put all the stuff back in again.
- We put some blankets in the baskets and fill their water bowls.
- Than we prepare the food, most of them eat paunch while someone lets all the dogs back in.
- Than we serve them all the food, making sure one of the dogs in in the inside part, and one in the outside part so they can eat their meal in peace.
When they're done we collect the bowls and let the dogs back in.
Some of us go clean the outside parts of the cages and some of us dry them. I usually am attended to clean the hallway since I am allowed to use the high pressure sprayer.
After a 15 min break we all go do separate chores which vary from walking the dogs to the playground and back, doing the dishes, grooming the dogs, etcetera.
It's fun but very tiring. It's a super workout to walk the dogs since you spend about two hours walking. (almost running since the dogs are super excited)
I'm very curious to know what kind of summer jobs people get in your country?
These beautiful nails are probably made with konad or other stamps. They look really classy and they are even easy to make!
All you need is a bright pink nail polish and a konad plate, stamp and scraper. You apply some black nailpolish on the plate, scrape the excess nail polish off with the scraper, put your stamp on the plate and apply by pressing firmly and slowly onto your nail. Let it dry
fully and apply a topcoat :)
Internet is an awesome thing, you wouldn't be looking at this post if internet was never invented. It has downsides too though.
It's not personal at all, you can't share feelings (even with emoticons they are so static) or show someone your love.
I have a long distance relationship and I see my boyfriend only one weekend every two weeks (sometimes more frequently :D) so we mostly talk
through whatsapp, msn, skype etc. And sometimes it's really hard, and you just want to give each other a hugg!
At first I only wanted to see this movie because two of my favorite actors were in it; Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon, but when I was done reading some background info on this movie, I was addicted already.
I think this movie is totally worth watching, if you're either an animal fan, a robert pattinson fan, a reese witherspoon fan, or if you just enjoy a good movie!
I love looking up comics on deviantart, so I wanted to share some with you! :3
Stupidfox is my favorite :)

Have you ever heard of LoraZombie? She is a grunge artist and makes the most beautiful things. Her artwork ranges from dreamy to a bit weird, and sometimes even a tad childish, in a cute way.
Usually I'm not a big art fan, but this style is really refreshing and just fun to look at. I would really like the first one on canvas in my room :)
The efteling is a Dutch amusement park that has the 'Sprookjesbos' which is an area full with fairytale figures. You can walk by little red riding hoods (grandmas) house and see rapunzel and the sleeping beauty. They also have numerous rides such as rollercoasters, and very nice themed rides.
If you ever visit holland and have the chance to visit the Efteling, please do! You'll love it.
