I haven't gotten new nail polish in such a long time! I find that I do have a lot of nail polishes, but when it comes time to paint my nails I am disappointed in the color selection available.
But I recently got three new shades to add to my collection. The colors are (from L to R) Coral Reef, Smokin' Hot and Treasure Chest.
Coral Reef: It's not that much of a coral color to me in my
opinion. Tart Deco from Essie is my true definition of a coral. But this color is more of a hot pink with a slight tiny orange undertone. (Cream finish)
Smokin' Hot: This color is like Chinchilly from Essie. It's deep grey color with a lot of a purple undertone. (Cream finish)
Treasure Chest: This is my first China Glaze polish and it's really pretty. It's a glitter polish, and it has hexagonal glitter in it in a clear base. The glitters are different sizes, so it adds a lot of dimension. And this is pretty opaque, because I originally wanted to use it to add on to my ring finger as an accent nail.
Have you tried these shades? Which color is your favorite?
I wanted to show you all very quickly what my favorite pair of sunglasses are and the pair of shades that I will be rocking all summer.
These sunglasses are from Betsy Johnson, but I got them on discount at Marshall's last summer. They originally retail for $75+ but I got them for $14.99. Which is a good deal for any pair of sunnies branded or not.
I think that these are very 80's/90's
inspired with the wayfarer style and the pop of cheetah on the rims. They add a very young and playful touch. I feel like these pair of glasses would make up any outfit.
So I've been posting a lot about my graduation, which has been one of the most exciting things for me. So I wanted to share with you all another gift I received from my sister. This gift was a total surprised and I honestly was not expecting this from her.
My sister was kind enough to get me my first piece of Tiffany's jewelry. She got me this 'Return to Tiffany Double Heart Tag Pendant', you
can find it on the website for $125. It's a 16" inch necklace, with two heart pendants. One that says "Return to Tiffany's", and the other is the Tiffany blue color.
But, sadly I will not be keeping this necklace. But honestly it was a lovely gesture. I have this weird phobia of not liking to wear short necklaces, because I get paranoid that it may be too close to my neck and I'd feel suffocated. And because the necklace chain is only 16" inches, it's really close to my neck. So I will be exchanging it, but I'm not sure for what though. But this is my first Tiffany's item in my collection, but not my last. I look forward to having and adding more.
Do you own anything from Tiffany's?
I recently picked up another Revlon Lip Butter in the color Tutti Frutti. I currently own about four other ones. But this was the my newest one that I picked up (of course on discount and coupons). These ran for $7.49 at my local Rite-Aid but on sale and with a coupon I paid only $3.50.
I just have to say that this is by far my favorite color of all the lip butters! I haven't reviewed or at
least gave my two cents about these yet, so I will probably photograph and show you all which colors I own and what not.
But since the color of the year according to Sephora is Tangerine Tango, I thought this would be the perfect addition to my collection. But I must admit that this color looks a bit scary, but wearing it sparingly allows a nice peach flush. But if you per say wanted to be more on the daring side, it looks fabulous as well. Sorry that I don't have a swatch on my lips. I didn't have anyone to take the photo for me!
What is your favorite shade in these lip butters?
Do you love the formula?
My sister is in town because of my graduation. She recently came, and my graduation was last night. (I just graduated high school) On her trip here, she picked me up lovely Macaroons from LA as a little pre-graduation present.
These Macaroons are from 'lette, and they are based at the Beverly Hills Bakery. I've only, had macaroons two other times before this and it was from here and another
little shop in San Francisco. But I must say that these were delicious, and by far better then the ones that I got in San Francisco. (these one were also far bigger)
I am a huge macaroon fan, but I can't really find them in my area, and they are extremely expensive. My sister paid about $1.70 per a macaroon and 19.50 per a dozen.
I can't tell you which macaroons are which flavor but I can tell you that in the bunch there is chocolate, rose, and lavender and more!
My Sister picked these up at:
14 South Fair Oaks Avenue
Pasadena, CA 91105
So as I am a senior in high school, graduation is near! So I wanted to share with you all, one of my graduation gifts from my sisters! She got me the Michael Kors Oversized watch in Gold (style number 8077). I originally asked for this during Christmas, and my sister originally disregarded my wishes, lol. But while at her house the other day she brought it up and asked which one I wanted so I got
to pick it out!
Right now Rose Gold is really in style, and I originally wanted a Rose Gold. But I particularly wanted a classic watch to which I could basically wear forever and would never go out of "style". So I am extremely happy and satisfied with my watch.
This watch originally retailed at Nordstrom for $250, but I was able to find this on Amazon for only $160 (free shipping and no tax!)
Expect a lot of arm candy posts from me! And a funny side note, my family who is a little more old fashion and less trendy thought that my watch was too big and a little ugly, lol! But to be honest, the watch to me looks like a normal size face.
Are you loving this over-size watch trend? Do you own an MK watch? If so which one?
Sorry I have been slacking but I wanted to continue my "Project 10 Pan" Series. So up next is this primer by Revlon. So the Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer is a face primer that you use to apply on your face before foundation.
I bought this primer about a year or two ago. And for a while I neglected it. And I started to use it more daily about 6 months ago. This base has a silicone
texture to it, similar to the Smashbox Photo Ready primer. But I wouldn't say that it's a dupe. But nevertheless I cannot wait to use this up so I can use my other face primers.
And to be honest, I don't think that I like this product whatsoever. I feel like the texture is great especially with the silicone texture to which creates a beautiful canvas. But with the longevity of my foundation, and such it's not that great. The only good thing is how smooth of a base it leaves for me.
So have you tried this? Have you completed a Project 10 Pan?
I just wanted to take a little step away from my 'Project 10 Pan' series (which I fill continue and finish!) to show you all my current nails. So last time I showed you all my french tip acrylic manicure, but now I decided to paint over them. I really do love acrylic nails because they make your nail beds look so much prettier.
So I tried galaxy nails a while ago in about October, and I
wanted to give them another go, especially with my nail bed looking so much prettier then normal. And in my opinion I think that it turned out really well.
Directions:
1. Paint your nails one color, a dark color most likely. I liked adding OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark, because it adds a little dimension not being full on black.
2. Take a sponge, a cosmetic or dish sponge to blot the colors on. ( I used Urban Outfitters Purple 2, Blue 2, OPI's Miami Beet, Essie's Sand Tropez and lastly my favorite top coat Schete Vite.
3. After apply on chunky and small glitter. These will serve as the "stars". I used Revlon's Facets of Fushia.
And that is it! Have you seen or tried Galaxy nails? What are all of your thoughts?
Here is the second product that I am trying to complete during my Project 10 Pan challenge. This is the Revlon Creme Eye-Shadow, and it is pretty much self explanatory. This quad is called 745 Copper Canyon. I have about 3-4 other ones that I honestly don't even really touch.
I honestly have so many other of these, and to be honest I hate these quads. They are really sheer and you have to
layer it on. And even with that, it's not even anything close to opaque. These also crease like crazy. I don't really enjoy these, and I find that the quality is horrible. I also don't even tend to gravitate towards these because they take so much effort to apply on perfectly.
As you can see, I'm almost done with this quad. And each of the colors are pretty nice. The first color is a cool sky blue color. The second is a shimmery white, with a gold undertone. The third color is a rust copper color. And the last color is a golden bronze color. I honestly cannot wait to finish this quad And I am honestly almost there.
Have you tried these quads? What shade do you like best?
So I just wanted to show you all these yummy treats that I recently picked up at Bel-Air's. They are so yummy. I originally heard of these treats of Youtube beauty gurus which I thought was a little odd because these were a little random for them to mention.
For all of you who don't know Skinny Cow is a weight loss brand. And they sell these treats obviously and ice cream for low calories. And
I do love these and they are pretty delicious. But they were honestly a little pricey. They come six packages in a box for 2/$7.
The Dreamy Clusters: These treats are 120 calories, and they are chocolate clusters are filled with caramel. They are really good, but the other ones are my favorite. The downsize is that although they are 120 calories, there are only literally 5 clusters per a bag.
The Heavenly Crisp: These are my favorite of the two boxes. And these are 110 calories. These are literally just a better version of Kit-Kats. They are a chocolate wafer treat with chocolate in between the wafers. And these are literally heaven.
Have you tried these treats? What did you think of them?
