It's always fun to find uses for products that you never expected. And this is definitely one of them. I had been hearing that this chafing gel by monistat was a great primer for the face, and like most others I was what what!? But I looked at the ingredients online, and people were right, it had mostly the same exact ingredients as the smashbox photofinish primer, which I had sampled and enjoyed
but couldn't bring myself to buy because of the price. The smashbox is almost 50 dollars for 1.5 oz size, and this gel is 1.5 oz for about 6-8 dollars. Crazy how makeup brands jack up the prices of cheap ingredients, but it works so people will pay it! The monistat is a hidden gem. I don't always use this because I don't always wear foundation, but when I do this makes my face SO smooth and the foundation just glides on. I am not the best candidate for a primer because I don't have oily skin, but I have dry skin so sometimes it takes work to blend in my foundation. Not at ALL with this product it is so much easier to blend foundation. I think this primer prolongs the wear of my makeup a little bit, nothing crazy I still can't wear my colorstay for 16 hours like it claims but it lasts long enough for what I need makeup for. I can't say I have tried a million primers, but I did try the rimmel one and thought it did nothing, so this one is definitely better than the rimmel one (can't remember the name!) So for the price, this is definitely worth checking out, you can get it here on amazon for about 6 dollars or at any drugstore for about the same price!

Here is another review on a super loved product of mine. The skindinavia makeup finishing spray had a lot of hype on youtube so I picked up a bottle of it in the summer of 2011. I finished it in the summer of 2012 and I only had the smaller size, the 2 oz size so a little does go a long way. I wouldn't say it was a miracle product, at first I didn't think it worked at all but eventually after
trying it different ways I found that if I sprayed it before and after makeup instead of just after it helped my makeup stay put for longer. I have tried model in a bottle as well and I feel like they are pretty comparable but I like the skindinavia more because I feel like it makes my skin less tight and feels like it has less alcohol in it than the model in a bottle. So I would recommend this product but it won't change your life. It retails for about 20 dollars for the 2 oz and 30 dollars for the 4 oz size on amazon so its definitely a better deal to get the bigger size if you know you like it already.

This is a review on a self- tanner I've been loving by Sun Laboratories. Its called the sun self tanning lotion instant tint in Dark. I got mine at my local beauty supply store, but you can get it off the sun labs site or off amazon. Amazon is a much cheaper option so that seems like a better idea. I absolutely love this self-tanner. I have tried a few but they were streaky, orange or not very
noticeable. This is a truly dark color and is not streaky or orange in the least. I think this is one of the best self-tanners out there. I used to tan in beds occasionally but once I found this I will never go again because I can get the same color and save my skin. I have tried more high end brands such as st. tropez and tan towels and I really think this performs the same or better! I would highly recommend you try this self-tanner if you are in the market for a really good one!

Hey alll, long time no post. Glad to be getting back into the posting. This is a review for a popular palette that I have been testing out a lot lately, the urban decay book of shadows 4. It was supposed to be limited edition but you can basically get it anywhere now. It originally retailed for about 60 dollars at sephora or urban decays website, but I don't think it sold as well as expected
because shortly after it started selling at discount stores such as nordstrom rack and websites such as hautelook. I got mine on hautelook for about 28 dollars, which really is a steal for all it comes with. This is selling on amazon for about 43 dollars currently. 16 eye shadows, a mini udpp, a speaker, tutorial cards you can play on your phone, a full size 24/7 liquid eyeliner in perversion and a mini curling mascara. I personally hate the mascara, like the eyeliner and of course I like the UDPP- who doesn't?!
The eyeshadows it contains are:
Blue Bus (periwinkle blue sheen), Gunmetal (gunmetal gray with silver glitter), Cobra (smoky green with gold shimmer), Baked (rich golden bronze shimmer), Bender (moss green sheen), Gravity (violet with silver glitter), Lost (neutral brown shimmer), Hijack (metallic muted teal), Midnight Cowgirl (golden beige with gold glitter), Sin (light shimmering champagne), Midnight Rodeo (beige shimmer with silver glitter), Crystal (pale icy blue shimmer), Bust (taupe sheen), Missionary (light taupe sheen), Skimp (ivory peach sheen), Zephyr (pearly cream sheen)
So some repeats and some new shades. I mostly wear neutrals and once in a while a dark shade and I think this palette has a lot of that without too many bright colors which is a plus for me. I don't think that the shadows are absolutely amazing but I think they are good and its a great value for the cost. So I would definitely recommend you pick this up if you find it at a good price- I personally wouldn't pay 60 dollars for this. Hope this helped those of you thinking about this palette!

Have you ever wanted to try NARS blushes, bronzers, or highlighters but were put off by the 27 dollar each price tag? Me too.
This palette is a limited edition one that contains 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer and 4 blushes. Each is almost full size (.12 as opposed to .16) and the set is 65 dollars. The palette is a 107 dollar value! This set includes:
Cheek Color in Hungry Heart (gold ivory),
Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter), Desire (cotton candy pink), Casino (dark brown with golden shimmer), Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer), Sin (berry with gold shimmer)
This is the perfect way to get all of the NARS cheek products you could want without paying the retail price for each of them. Get it now while it lasts!
Have you tried any NARS blushes, highlighters or bronzers? What are your thoughts?

This is a set that is on my wishlist. I have heard so much hype lately about the HD powder, the HD primer and the HD foundation, but the price tag on each of those items is pretty steep. The kabuki brush also is pretty expensive- the brush itself retails for 39 dollars!!
This set includes:
- 0.17 oz HD Microfinish Powder
- HD Kabuki Brush
- 0.5 oz HD Microperfecting Primer
- 1.01 oz HD
Invisible Cover Foundation
THis set is great because it comes in 25 shades, just as many as there are shades of the foundation. A lot of sets with foundations only come in a few shades that won't match everyone. This set costs 79 dollars, which is definitely steep, but it comes with a lot of expensive products and is a 109 dollar value.
Have you tried this set or any of the Make Up FOr Ever HD products? WHat are your thoughts?

This set from Sephora has 8 of stila's popular lip glazes for only 25 dollars! The retail price of one Stila Lip Glaze is 22 dollars, so you are basically getting 8 products for the price of one! THis set comes with:
- 8 x 0.05 oz Lip Glaze in Kitten (nude pink shimmer), Kaleidoscope (sparkling light pink), Apricot (melon nectarine), Grapefruit (frosted pink), Fantasy (sparkling watermelon),
Starfruit (shimmering coral), Dreamy (nude beige), Believe (berry plum with gold shimmer).
A regular lip glaze at 22 is .08 oz, and each of the 8 glazes in this kit is .05 oz, so they are almost full size. THis is a really good value.
Have you tried Stila's LIp Glazes? What are your thoughts?

I was looking through the perfumes on Sephora, and noticed this perfume that is also available in the luuux shop. All of the reviews on Sephora.com were so positive- everyone absolutely loves it. It sounds like a really great smelling perfume from the description- with notes of Sambac Jasmine, Centifolia Rose, Cattleya Orchid, Ballerina Freesia, Patchouli. This is an expensive perfume, so I want
to know if any of you have tried it. Do you like it? Do you think its worth 100 or 150 dollars, depending on the size?

This is a set of Sephora's bestselling products. It costs 75 dollars, so it is pricy, but it has some products that are to die for- from brands like NARS, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, Marc Jacobs, etc.
This set has 10 products, 6 of which are full size! 75 is a lot but if you think of 6 full size products for 75 dollars that is already a good deal, plus 4 deluxe samples! This set includes:
-
0.5 oz Philosophy Hope In A Jar
- 0.05 oz Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Sin (light shimmering champagne)
- 0.13 oz Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Original (sheer nude)
- 0.5 oz Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
- 0.14 oz Sephora Collection Lipstick in The Red 04 (classic bright red)
- 1 oz Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude (light beige/ for fair to light skin tones)
- 1.1 oz Nars Illuminator in Orgasm (peachy pink with shimmer)
- 0.37 oz Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
- 0.01 oz Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in black
- 0.24 oz Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball
Have you guys tried this set or any of the items in it? WHat are your thoughts? Do you think the set is worth the price?
