This past Saturday the family and I headed up to Big Sur, California which is that far from where I live. It's about 37 miles south of Carmel. The drive was a little over an hour for me. The view all the way there is just gorgeous! We stopped at a few spots along the highway to take pictures as well.
We decided to head out to Big Sur in the beginning of last week. We wanted something new to
do so we thought this would be a great place to go. It's called the McWay Waterfalls Trail. This trail isn't that long at all. Really short actually. But ended up walking around the river which leads to the waterfall so we can get some exercise in. My kids loved it! From the pictures it is so gorgeous! But in person its even more gorgeous! It's so breathtaking and makes you just want to jump in the water. It was just amazing!
This waterfall (located to the left in the picture) used to run right into the water but because of a fire until a massive fire, landslide, and highway reconstruction project near the area in 1983-84 filled the cove with enough material to form a sandy beach several dozen feet out. No one is allowed down into the beach were the waterfall is. If you plan to go there, they have places along the way for you to eat or shop. Make sure you bring $10 for parking. Exact change. It's one of those things where you put the money in the envelop and deposit in the box then detach ticket and place on your dashboard. Or you can park along side of the highway for free.
If you are ever driving along the Highway 1, I totally suggest you stop by! It's right off the freeway!

Here are my Nails at the Moment!!
I decided this afternoon that it was time for a nail polish change. I know with Easter coming on Sunday, I was thinking about doing something Easter themed. But I changed my mind at the last minute. I went with a polish that I haven't even tried which I got from Heatherann a while back. This Ulta polish is just gorgeous! I love purples and this one is just
awesome! Love everything about it! The formula, the application, and how quick it dried. I need to get my hands on more Ulta polishes that for sure. Not that I need anymore, but I must! =)
The bow was painted by me, myself, and I. I didn't use stencils or stickers. I used on of my nail art paint brushes and dip it in to the colors I wanted to use. I don't have nail art brushes so I had to work with what I had. I love the way this turned out so much I did my toes the same way! =) Making the bow might seem hard but it really isn't. Its a lot easier than you probably think.
Here's what I used:
* L'Oreal Base Polish
* Ulta Nail Polish in Celebutante
* Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Pink Forever (bow)
* Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Snow Me White (polka dots)
* Love & Beauty Nail Polish in Silver (center of bow)
* Seche Dry Fast Top Coat

Today, I went to CVS to get some things for my boyfriend for work so of course I couldn't leave without going through the beauty department. I had $5 ECB to spend so of course I was going to use for myself! haha I grabbed some Maybelline items because they were having a BOGO half off sale. I've heard many many raves about the Line Stiletto Liner and had been wanting to give it a try so I grabbed
that along with a Brow Pencil from their Master Shape line.
What I picked up + First Impressions:
Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner $8.49
I am really loving this so far! I put it one as soon as I got home and it hasn't budged. It's already been over 8 hours already and don't see any flaking, no smudging, and no fading at all. It's such an easy liner to use. So easy to control too. I am totally loving this liner! Got me a new fave!
Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil in Soft Brown $4.14
I tried this and wasn't happy with it. I really was hoping it was going to work but sadly it didn't. I feel its more waxy than anything I have tried. Like its so waxy it barely puts color on the first swipe so you have to go over it but then it start to look caked on. So no bueno! I did love the spooley on the other side of it though. Thank goodness CVS has an awesome return policy. I am just going to return this tomorrow and probably pick up either another Fit Me Pressed Powder or a back of this Line Stiletto liner.
There you have it! My haul for today + my first impressions on them!
Questions:
Have you tried any of these?
What are your thoughts?

This was my lunch from yesterday. I was making burritos for my boyfriend to take to work and decided not to have a burrito but to make a burrito bowl like they do at Chipotle. I am a huge fan of Chipotle and I always order their Burrito Bowls all the time. This is basically a burrito but without the tortilla. I added brown rice, black beans, grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, sour
cream, and salsa. All it was missing was the guacamole. I didn't have the ingredients for that because this meal wasn't planned ahead of time.
This meal was very filling and delish! My boyfriend even took a bite of it and wanted some. LOL I don't need to give you a tutorial on this because it's easy. You cook the rice, and meat the way you want it. It's not rocket science. Least for me it isn't. ;)
Questions:
Have you done this at home?

Lately, this has been my go-to favorite snack! It's Tropical Trail Mix and Kettle Corn Popcorn! It really is so yummy! I love the sweet and salty combo from these two. I usually like to put candy into popcorn. But I've been trying to eat other things that aren't so fattening but at the same time cure my sweet tooth. I get both of these products at Walmart. I just sprinkle a little bit of the
trail mix on my popcorn. That's it! You should try it the trail mix that has the M&Ms and chocolate chips! That one is good!
My only gripe about the trail mix is I wish it contained more nuts. It had more dried fruit in it than nuts. Next time, I am going to buy the same bag and a can of nuts to mix in it. That way it can have equal ratio of fruits and nuts.
I would recommend this if you are a fan of popcorn, nuts, and dried fruit! It was the perfect combo and look forward to having more!

I'm sure many of you have seen these and probably wondered what they were. Well, that was me at one point until my boyfriend recommend I drink this instead of soda. These are water enhancers. They come in many different flavors and all you have to do is squirt some into your cup or bottled water. These are ZERO calories and they also make some that are enhanced with energy. They run about $4 or
less depending where you get it. It says it up to 24 servings. I only squirt a little bit to give it some flavor. I could just drink water but this is the only way it will get me to drink the amount of water needed on a daily basis. Yes, lame but that's just me. ;) You can keep these in your purse, or car to spice up your water anytime you want. Great to bring to work as well. Oh, I've also added this to unsweetened tea and works great too!
I've also seen the walmart brand of these which are about a dollar cheaper. Those also come in different flavors. I have yet to try those, but will give them a shot one day.

On Saturday, I went to Safeway to go get some ice cream for my family because they had been wanting some. I however got me something different so I can easily control my portion because I have been trying to cut down on junk and eat more healthier. I chose this product Skinny Cow Strawberry Cheesecake Low-Fat Ice Cream. This tiny container is 150 calories. It's about a scoop of ice cream. I
usually eat 2-3 but one scoop is better than none! So I wasn't going to complain. I really loved it! I have tried their chocolates as well and really do enjoy those. I look forward to trying out more of their ice creams. They have quite a few to chose from. My kids even wanted to eat it up even though they had their own. But I wasn't going to share! LOL
Question:
Have you tried the Skinny Cow line?
