I debated whether or not to make this post in health & beauty or entertainment since it is health related however I didn't want to have my post removed if luuux thought otherwise. This is a television program after all. I would really recommend this TV show which I have just started watching called "suppersize vs superskinny" I think its really interesting and I have honestly learnt so much from
it.
This program is based in the UK and each episode focuses on one supersized person and one superskinny person. They both then spend a week living with each other and swapping means ie the supersize person has to eat whatever the superskinny person would normally eat during the week and vice versa.
I like that the show isn't mainly focused on losing/gaining weight rather teaching/learning from each other about their own eating/diet issues. Often the superskinny people are not there because they want to be skinny but rather have problems with their relationship with food due to their lifestyles etc
It has really changed my way of viewing foods. I know that being healthy doesnt mean cutting out certain groups of food or limiting yourself in anyway as a "Diet" would essentially do. This program is already a few seasons in and a lot can be watched on youtube which is really convenient. Definately check it out, just search "supersize vs superskinny" Goodluck!

****MY THOUGHTS****
I was really excited to try these out because I have only ever used a sheet type mask and wash off masks so I was really curious about the effectiveness of these. The first big difference is the price. These can get quite pricy depending on brand and what materials they claim to use [I've seen some with gold flakes in them lol] but the brand I went for is BSC which is made in Japan. I picked up the one focusing on whitening but also deals with hydration, pores etc as said above and hence the 5 in 1. I managed to buy this online from sasa.com when they were having their buy 1 get 1 free promotion. Each box has 5 masks in it.
The mask itself is a jelly like texture and comes in 2 parts. The individual sachet/packet is actually quite big as you can see from the photo its about the size of my laptop keyboard [i use a 15.4" laptop] So far I have used this mask twice since I purchased it. Each part comes folded in half on a tray and saturated with essence and there is A LOT of essence!
The first time I used it I didn't really take into consideration how much essence was in the packet so once I slapped it on my face i was dripping EVERY WHERE @_@ so 2nd time around i made sure to tip all the essence to the bottom before taking the tray containing the jelly goodness out and actually saved the essence in a bottle. The essence from both sides of the packet was about 15-20mL which is quite a lot. I use this just as any other essence/serum between masks. Shouldn't leave it to waste after all!
Since the parts come folded in half I was really worried I'd rip/poke a hole easily in the jelly substance of the mask BUT surprisingly it is quite a dense jelly that poking with a finger or lifting it up won't cause it to break apart. However once on the face I find the disadvantages are the inability to conform to your facial contours as well as a sheet mask can e.g. around your chin/nose area. Mostly with sheet masks I pop them on and can run around the house doing whatever needs to be doing but with these it is better to lie down as they are heavier and tend to slide if you are sitting upright.
As for the results! *drumroll* I was super impressed almost to the point of being freaked out lol there was an instant brightening result, the most noticable I have come across after using so many different masks. The mask itself doesn't reach all the way to my hairline so when i took off the mask there was a clear mark... like when you get a sunglass tan if you know what I mean. So I was amazed by the results but freaking out because I don't want a permanant mask line!! thankfully it went away, i used the leftover essence to go over parts the mask didn't cover. As with a lot of masks your skin feels and looks the best straight after but the true test is the next day. Although the huge brightening effect had evened out, by the next day overall I still think there was a noticable change in my complexion. My mum definately noticed the difference. The mask doesn't completely absorb into your skin but I did notice that it was a little thinner when I took it off.
Overall I think this is a great mask. It worked well for me and I'll continue using it but probably not as much as my sheet masks since I liek to do a mask every 2-3 days and I'd probably go broke using these ones that often. Definately give them a try if you have the chance. Keep a look out for deals/promotions on sasa.com
Sorry if this was a lot of information to digest!!

Ok so I know that people overseas have already enjoyed/still enjoying the maybelline colour tattoo cream/gel eyeshadows and I have been dying! to try them out especially as an alternative to MAC paintpots. We have only JUST gotten the revlon lip butters and its been how long??? maaan I know products may be released later in Australia but this is just
sad :( For all those Australian luuuxers out there these maybelline shadows are due for release in july! soooo just a bit more than a month before they are available. I only know about this throught the Maybelline newsletters that get sent to me email. The only think I am not looking forward to is the price. Shall have to wait and see. Thinking of purchasing Bad to the Bronze and Tenacious Teal :D *fingers crossed*
What colours have you tried or would liek to try out?

I've noticed everyone seems really into these Jeffery Campbell shoes. I've never tried them myself but was wondering what everyones opinions are on this shoe style. They now come in an amazing array of colours, materials and designs. My friend recently bought a pair and she is tiny but with these babies like woah @_@ haha I don't know if this is just a
passing trend or really worth the investment. The name really reminds me of lolita and i could see one wearing these as well even though i don't think the name "Lita" was actually drawn from lolita. I suppose there are the more traditional black/tan colours which would be easy to match vs the very colourful out there variations. What are your thoughts on this style?

I would say I'm more into handbags than shoes if i had to choose an accessory. My friend [who is a shoeaholic recently posted this photo on my facebook. This is the Naked Shoe by designer Andreia Chaves and i have to say this is definately shoe candy worthy of drooling over *v* and also the price tag of $2,795.95 x_x
I wonder if they are comfortable
or not... If I saw this I would see it more art than a shoe but the fact that it is a wearable shoe in every practical aspect just makes me want it more. What do you think? cool or no? Would you wear them?
I thought they looked weird at first but definately look much better on the foot [refer to 2nd photo]

So I recently watched G.NA [Korean Kpop Idol] latest MV for her song "2HOT" and i loooooooooved her hair. I guess it's not exactly something amazingly new as I have seen other celebrities and models rock various versions of this dyed hair.
After googling there are many ways to describe this, ombre, dip dyed, horizontal2-tone etc you could argue
they are different but essentially the same concept: intergration of 2 or more colours :) SO I've been thinking of doing something new to my hair [photo of my current hair first photo] but never settled on something. Having asian naturally black hair I understand that it will most likely involve some bleaching =X especially because my current hair colour is probably the lightest I can get it without bleach and I was going to just keep the current colour on top and lighten the ends.
And perhaps once the blonde ends start going brassy or yellow I might use some semi permanant bright colour and try to achieve something more vibrant liek G.NA I think if I were to do it, realistically be closest to the 5th photo.
A lot of Japanese gyaru girls with their amazing perfect hair achieve their trrendy looks through extensions and wigs soooo yeah. What do you guys think of this hairstyle? Have you tried it before and how did it turn out for you? I would love to know :)

I've been eyeing these nail polish for a while now and finally broke down and got them :P These are by a korean brand called 'tony moly' and i bought these for around AU$7 each on ebay you might be able to find them cheaper depending on where/who you buy from.
There are actually 3 colours in total in this range:
Milky Way (GS08) [blue]
Pinky
Star (GS10) [pink]
Shooting Star (GS09) [purple]
I wasn't really interested in the pink so only decided to get the blue and purple shades.
Milky Way [the blue shade] looks almost exactly like Whimsical by Revlon butI haven't tried these tony moly polishes yet nor do I own revlon whimsical so i can't really compare them based on performance etc but based on swatches and photos I would say they look 99% alike.
The blue shade consists of a milky baby blue base with 3 different sizes of blue and pink glitters.
The purple shade also has a milky but purple based with multicoloured different sized glitters in it. Just by having a look at the bottle i can see silver, gold, green, red, pink and blue glitters! So I am definately more drawn to this nail polish!
I am looking forward to trying them both out but I do expect these to go on quite sheer initially as I believe that is how they are intended to be however possibly buildable if you really wanted that solid pastel base. I assume it would look great over white or similarly cream coloured base *Shrugs* Will experiement and see what I come up with :) The packaging is really simple. I've noticed that a lot of asian brand beauty products don't acutally put the amount of product on the product [does that make sense] but i would say that its similar if not a little less product than a full sized revlon which is 14.7mL/0.5Fl Oz.
Definately check out the tony moly website which I have listed in the source link below. They have heaps of cutely packaged and wonderful smelling cosmetics ^^ enjoy!

I haven't shopped at Jayjays in aaages and as I was walking past today I noticed their sale signs so since I had time to kill before meeting up with people for dinner I went in to check it out. I ended up buying this tartan coat as winter is just around the corner. Although it doesnt really get THAT cold in Australia during winter i realised I
don't have many jackets. I wear a lot of cardigans and lately have bought a lot of Knit jumpers although I find that knits can only keep you so warm. They are kind of useless when its windy since the wind just goes throug hthem >.< I have blazer jackets but most are quite thin so I've persuaded myself i NEEDed this jacket for my wardrobe =X hahaha
Anyway it wasn't that expensive. It was originally AU$69.95 and i got it for AU$29.95 :) I can live with that. Its a navy blue tartan with white and grey stripes so i would say its very easy to match with things.
SOoooo after coming home i decide to try it on again and do some twirls in front of the mirror when i noticed it still has the securty tag on it!! XD no wonder the sensors kept going off when I was entering/leaving various shops. it was me!!!!!! bwahaha... well i suppose I'll take it back to the shop tomorrow and have the sales girl take it off for me *Sigh* And that is my little story/purchase for today :)
***Photos are my own and taken by me***
ps. sorry for the badlighting... my camera flash was too bright and since its night time now the artificial lighting isn't very accurate in dispalying the proper colour of the jacket :( boo

Here is another wonderful makeup piece for my collection again by korean brand etude house :)
First thing is first. Isn't it just the cutest!!?? ^o^
This is a baked eyeshadow duo which i bought in shade 01. Banana chocolate. As you can see the name reflects the colour combination of neutral brown/yellow ivory combo. These eyeshadows are quite
inexpensive and are available around the US$7 mark I guess depending where you buy from. I LOVE the packaging, a tin in the shape of a cupcake

Lately I have been exploring more into korean branded cosmetics and have come to really love products by etude house. Their advertisements and packaging really reflects a youthful playfulness. I'm always on the look out to try new brow pencils since its one of those staple items in my makeup routine.
These eyebrow pencils from etude house are the
twist up kind which is great since it doesn't require any sharpening. A thing i really liked about the design was the triangular shape that the product comes out as compared to the normal round ones you find in most twist up style pencils. This is great because you can be much more versitile with what kind of strokes you want to make.
This pencil is dual ended and has a spool brush at the opposite end. Personally I am not a fan of it, no particular reason, I just don't really use it *shrug* The two colours I bought were 02. grey brown [left] and 03. brown [right]
These are really inexpensive i think around US$5 which is great. The cons I would probably say the colour range. Although there are 6 colours available to choose from, they mostly cater for people with medium to dark hair. Currently my hair is more to the lighter end and I also prefer my eyebrows to be the same. I;ll probably just keep these around until I decide to change my hair to a darker shade.
Also if you wind the product up all the way there isn't actually much inside so don't be fooled. However i have found that is the case with a lot of the twist up eyebrow pencils I have bought from asian brands. You only ever seem to get like an inch of product if your lucky! wth? haha but like I said it's inexpensive and depending how heavy handed/drawn in you like your eyebrows the product will last accordingly.
Sometimes I think actual pencils are more worth it as they seem to last longer but I think the laziness in me just likes the convenience of the mechanical type. Which type of pencil do you prefer?
