The fifth product I tried from my influenster Spring May Beauty VoxBox was the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash. It was really the only non-full size item out of all the products in the box. At 2 oz., I do not mind it at all since I like to generally save samples and travel size items for on the go and travelling. As a matter of fact, I technically didn’t open this body wash yet. Since I
just finished a body wash a few days ago, I grabbed a new bottle, which just happened to be the same exact Aveeno body wash. I just didn’t realize it till after opening. So, since I am already currently using the full size version and the product and packaging are both exactly the same, I can save the travel size for later use.
I’ve always considered Aveeno to be the best drugstore brand when it comes to their body products. I’ve never used their skincare, so I can’t speak on that. I’ve used mainly the lotions, body washes, and a few sunscreens and enjoyed them all. When it comes to the body wash, I really like the smooth, silky, and creamy texture. It lathers nicely and doesn’t irritate the skin. It’s also soap and dye free, and hypoallergenic making it gentle for one who has sensitive skin. I also love the light scent, which is from the natural oatmeal that is known in Aveeno products.
I will definitely look forward to using the travel size version on my next stay at a hotel since I know it’s been a product I can trust vs. something unknown and generic.

If you like using pitchers, you might like the Drink Maker Pitcher by eco-friendly Japanese brand, Takeya. This item can be purchased at retail/regular price for $15, while Costco had a 2-pack for $20.
Each pitcher is 2 liters aka around 66 oz., and it’s made of BPA-FREE durable, high temperature acrylic, known as AcraGlass. It’s dishwasher safe, stain and odor proof, and can hold hot or
cold liquids. It features a soft grip handle, and can be stored upright or on its side without any leakage.
The lid has very easy instructions to twist, align arrows, and to pour. To remove, just twist counter-clockwise and to close, just twist clockwise. The airtight lid keeps drinks fresh and leak-proof.
The design may be practical and maybe boring for some, but I like that it’s simple, modern, and contemporary. I especially like the sleek, tall design, making it easy to store in the fridge without having to move other items around.
I have not used this yet, but I can just picture both pitchers full of ice cold water or unsweetened iced tea very soon.

Since you have millions of dollars to spend on a penthouse or condo in NYC, you might as well spend another million on a parking spot. Yes, you read correctly. NYC’s very first $1 million parking space is going to hit the market soon. The space is about 12 ft wide, 23 ft long, and over 15 ft high. It could also possibly hold two cars, if the future buyer chooses to. The private parking spot is
located inside an eight-story luxury condo building. It is made truly for one who wants complete privacy, one who wants to park and not be seen. Maybe ever so subtle and private Kim Kardashian would be the future buyer… HA!
If the $1 million price hasn’t sunk into your head yet, that price costs 6 times more than the U.S. average price of a single family home. The parking spot also requires a contract and additional maintenance fees.
Realistically though, New Yorkers in general would be more willing to fork over money for a parking spot than any other person in the country would for a home. Do you know how hard it is to find a parking spot in any urban/metro area? I know firsthand. Thank goodness for public transportation and cabs.
So, which one of you is the future buyer of this parking spot, and may I borrow it sometime? Thanks in advance!

I had a box of Annie’s Shells White Cheddar Mac & Cheese in my pantry for months now. I had a taste for something comforting tonight (not sure why), so I finally grabbed the box from my cabinet, before it was neglected any longer.
I have never been a fan of (regular) cheddar. It’s my least favorite cheese because it’s too strong and disgusting to me. But, when it comes to white
cheddar, it’s a different story. I don’t eat it very often at all. While browsing the food section at Target one day though, I came upon one of my favorite food brands, Annie’s. I wasn’t aware they make boxed pastas. I’m already a carb addict, and once I saw they carry white cheddar, there was no hesitation. The brand has also always been familiar to me, which is also why I purchased it.
Annie’s white cheddar mac & cheese is all natural and is made with 100% real cheese. It also has a good amount of protein and calcium, and the shells are organic wheat. I also like the fact that they use recycled paper for their boxes/packaging, and also includes messages to encourage others to “Go Green.”
Aside from the white cheddar, I added some basil leaves seasoning and a few cherry tomatoes. The white cheddar alone was heavenly, but the (unnecessary) basil did add some extra flavor.
Annie’s products can be purchased at Target, Whole Foods, and most other stores.

Have you tried Annie’s products before? Do you like white cheddar? What did you have for dinner tonight?

The fourth product I tried from my influenster Spring May Beauty VoxBox was the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Kitty, Kitty (320). There are many other designs available for regular price at about $10/each. Each pack comes with 16 nail strips, a cuticle stick, and mini file/buffer.
This was the only product from my box that I didn’t care for. I am aware of this product when I first saw it
not too long ago, wherever it was. But, it’s also something I automatically ignore, because it just doesn’t interest me. At least I could say I’ve tried it now. Well, let’s just keep it at “triED," because the whole process was just messy.
These “Real Nail Polish Strips” is made of real nail polish, so it’s suppose to wear/feel and give the look of actual nail polish, just without the drying time. Sounds easy, right? Given instructions seemed easy too. I don’t know if it was just me, but it was harder than advertised.
Firstly, when I opened the packets of the strips, I immediately smelled a nail salon, just not as strong. I hate that “chemical” smell. Secondly, I know I do not have big nails, and half of the sizes seem more fitting for my big toenail, seriously. Secondly, the strips are unrealistically long. Each nail sticker has two sheets of adhesives (front and back). Peel and stick on to nails, and then use the nail filer/buffer to shed off the excess “nail.” Since they were really long, it was easier for me to just rip the excess off with my hands. Yes, I’ve seen some women with 5-inch long nails, but generally, most don’t. All of that excess is just a waste of product and money. And, since most of the strips were too big for my nails, I ended up messing them up in the end anyway. The instructions neglected to add how to fix oversized nail strips.
This product claims to last 10 days, but of course I just took them off within 5 minutes. I advise others to use nail polish remover when removing the strips, as instructed on the packaging. I thought I could just peel them off to be faster, but that just left a bigger mess along with the adhesives and excess strips.
I did think of two positives: Pretty animal print and product is 3-FREE.
Needless to say, I will not be using these again.
For my influenster Spring May Beauty VoxBox, so far, I’ve tried:
Sheer Cover Duo Concealer
BBW Paris Amour Fine Fragrance Body Mist
Strawberry SOYJOY

Every time Sarah Palin comes up, I always think of Bobby’s mom in the 90s cartoon, Bobby’s World. I use to love watching that show when I was a kid, and one of the things besides Bobby’s big ol’ head, that has stuck in my head all these years is his mom always saying, “Don’t CHA knAw?” Both she and Palin’s accent sound the same, to me anyways. I wonder if the family was set in
Minnesota, because I’ve heard that natives there have that accent.
What I remember most about the show was obviously Bobby himself, and his mom. But, while watching some YT videos of the show jogged my memory of the rest of the family. Memories! Some of you may also know that Canadian actor and comedian, Howie Mandel was the voice of Bobby’s dad. Did you know he created the show, and was also the voice of Bobby as well?
Do you remember Bobby’s World? Were you a 90s kid?

For Christmas a few years ago, I gifted one of my friends the Reclaimed Watch Movement Cuff Links purchased for about $170 from Red Envelope. I thought these cufflinks were very unique when I saw them on the site, and thought my friend would like them. They are made with genuine vintage watch movements dating back to the early-mid 20th century.
Each unique cufflink is handmade with
non-functional parts, which includes complex cogs and gears all set in sterling silver with lever backs. They are very detailed indeed, and I find myself staring at them. Each pair also comes with a certificate of authenticity in a nice little gift box.
This item is still available at the site, and would make a nice unique gift for Father’s Day coming up.

You think with the NATO Summit protestors out and about, I’d cook for dinner right? Wrong. I was about to put in a frozen pizza in the oven, when a friend and I decided to order Mexican for take-out. We decided on a nearby place that is a city favorite, which I never understood why to be honest. But, I still order from them because it’s convenient.
Since I was being indecisive on what to
order, I thought the Veggie Combo Plate would be perfect. It’s something I’ve ordered in the past, mainly because I wanted a variety. I chose the veggie option, and the combo plate includes one of each: taco, tostada, and enchilada, plus rice and beans. I always forget to tell them to leave the sour cream out, but sometimes I just end up eating it anyway. My friend and I also order salsa and chips, so I had more than enough food.
I wasn’t completely satisfied as in taste, but at least my tummy was full.
Do you like Mexican food? If you had to choose one favorite, would it be tacos, enchiladas, or tostadas? What did you have for dinner last (Saturday) night? What are you having, or, did you have for dinner tonight?

The third product I tried from my influenster Spring May Beauty VoxBox was the Sheer Cover Duo Concealer in Light/Medium. During the survey process, I remember choosing my skin tone, so I’m glad they paid attention in sending me the correct shades. I also consider 0.05 oz to be a travel size, but this product do come available in several sizes.
I’ve never used any concealer before and
only started to consider it the past several years when I started getting under eye dark circles. I didn’t think that day would ever come, because I’ve been grateful with pretty good skin overall. But, I guess years of lack of sleep plus old age combined are the factors. I’ve also questioned myself if they were really that bad. I know they are visible, but I guess I would never use any concealer unless if they were to get worse (*knocks on wood*). Even though I didn’t have any plans of using any concealer, receiving one is another product that I was glad to see, because I can test it out.
I also consider myself as a rookie when it comes to liquid makeup, since I’ve also never used liquid foundation either. I’ve only used mineral power. With that, I assumed the “light” shade would be more fitting than the “medium.” I applied the light on one side, and the medium on the other to see the difference(s). Application of the product was creamy and smooth. As in the two different shades, I couldn’t tell the difference to be honest. I had to ask my friend, and he told me I looked “younger” with the medium shade, which is funny because I’ve always look much younger than my actual age. I went back to the mirror, and still couldn’t see the difference between the two shades. I did notice my dark circles were still visible though, so I’m not sure how much coverage the concealer gave. I did like that my skin still looked natural, almost as if I didn’t have any makeup on. I even applied more to just build and play around with it, and it still didn’t feel heavy or look thick or “cakey” like how some others do with liquid makeup.
I will continue to use this concealer so I can get the hang of it, and hopefully see some difference in coverage of my dark circles.
Aside from this product, I’ve also tried the Bath & Body Works Paris Amour Fine Fragrance Mist and the SOYJOY Strawberry bar so far from my influenster Spring Beauty May VoxBox, all for absolutely FREE.
Did you receive this in your influenster? Do you like Sheer Cover products?

Some of you may know by now that Jackie Chan is ready to move on from doing action films. Supposedly, he might still do them, but won’t do his own stunts anymore. Either way, his reasons are the same. The 58-year old realizes he isn’t young anymore, and also due to the fact of doing his own numerous martial art stunts, his body has physically been worn down. He also wants to prove to people
he has acting skills, which is why he enjoyed doing, “The Karate Kid.”
With breaking several bones from doing his own stunts, it’s about time he should take it easy. I would miss his action movies though. I did like him in, “The Karate Kid." But, nothing tops his “Rush Hour” sequel with Chris Tucker.
I sure would like to have Jackie Chain by my side this weekend as we have the NATO Summit protestors out and about. I don’t think my strap is enough.
Are you a fan of Jackie Chan? What was your favorite movie of his? Do you do martial arts?
