For a while now I have been wanting beaded bracelets, but have not found any the call to me. While looking online I found individual pieces that I would love on a bracelet, but couldn't find them in an actual bracelet. I opted to just buy the pieces and make my own.
The thing about buying them alos is you don't get single quantities. I had to buy them in lots. As in more than one. Which works
out well too, cause I can give them as gifts or just sell them. I bought 4 packs of beads. Blue with gold swirls, ivory with gold swirls, burgandy with gold swirls, and shimmer gold. For my connectors, charms, I bought hamsa hadns. I bought 2 different kinds. Gold with blue diamonds, and pink gold with clear diamonds.
To make them I cut a long piece of clear elastic. I then looped it through the hamsa hand leaving pieces on either side. I then added the beads. After the beads were place I wrapped it around my wrist to see if it was long enough. Once I found a good length I tied the elastic in 3 knots and sealed with glue. The glue is specific for the elastic.
My hubby said they were quite pretty, and looked store bought. Though I like buying things, I do like this much better cause it is a one of a kind.
What do you think of these? Do you like them? Have you made any DIY jewelry?

Sometime last week I went into my local Walmart and noticed they had a salon in there that carried OPI. What caught my eye was the large 50% off OPI sign. However it was like 2am, so they were closed. Yes, it was 2am and I was shopping. I really do have a terrible sleep pattern.
Anyhow, I went back today to pick up some groceries and toiletries. While the hubby was paying I inched away and
finally found myself infront of the salon. They had their permanent line, as well as the Holland and Amazing Spiderman collections. I didn't want to get too much so just stuck with these 4. I did see a few more that I like so I just may go back.
What I picked up:
Blue My Mind- not from the collection, though the collection does have a blue polish
Just Spotted The Lizard-a green duo chrome
Number One Nemesis- a steel grey with multi colored glitter, mainly greens, and gold
My Boyfriend Scales Walls-a greyish white. In the bottle it has a sofy grey tint, when applied it looks a bit more white
I really wanted Call Me Gwen-ever but they were out. Boo!
Have you picked up any polishes from this collection? Which is your favorite?

Earlier today I went into my local Sally's as I have been doing for the past couple of days. I've been on the hunt for China Glaze's new collection called On Safari, last image. Its set to come out in June but sometimes they get the items early. I don not want to miss out on this as I have my eyes on a few shades.
Since I was already there Iwent ahead and began looking around. I didn't see
anything that I liked from their current collections, nor permament line. This went for all brands. With nothing calling my name I headed to the clearance section. There I found a few polishes marked down, and decided to take advantage.
What I got:
Spark
Crush On You
Glitz
Prelude To A Kiss
Artficial Sweetener
Faint Of Heart
Each of these cost $3.99 which is isn't bad. These can be found anywhere from $5.99-$7.99. I can't complain.
I'm hoping to find the On Safari collection soon. The colors are just gorgeous!
Do you like Orly polishes? What do you think of these colors? Are you fond of sales like I am? Are you planning on getting any polishes from On Safari?

A few weeks ago I did a post on my 1st Asos haul. Like this haul I had purcahsed a watch and a bracelet. When I was writing the post, I went back on Asos to link the watch, and saw that they had restocked the original watch I wanted. What luck! Even before I finished the post the watch was again out of stock. I was excited and lucky enough to have caught it.
I had been looking for the perfect
mint, seafoam watch and had yet to come across one that I actually liked. This one however was perfect! I saw it on DulceCandy, and just had to have it. The watch isn't oversized. Its small and dainty, a band similar to a jelly texture. The dial itself is the size of a nickel, with gold trim. It looks quite beautiful when worn. It cost me $32. I wasn't able to find it on the site anymore but they do have some equally gorgeous ones. It came neatly wrapped around a pillow and in a sturdy box.
Next I went to the bracelet section and picked out a linked handcuff bracelet. the bracelet is in a nice gold plated tone, and has extra links to fit several wrist sizes. Unlike the 1st one it came in a cotton lined sturdy box. It cost under $12.
If you haven't shopped from this site, definitely give it a try. They carry everything! Clothes, shoes, purses, accessories, etc.
Have you shoppped from Asos before? What do you think of my items? Are you a fan of mint/seafoam green as I am?

A few weeks ago I decided I was going to begin tracking my food intake as well as begin working out. Pretty much taking control of my health. When I have children I want to able to run with them and care for them. In doing so I have to take care of myself. Plus with all the meds and hormones I take I began putting on some weight.
I couldn't figure out which route I wanted to take with working
out and finally I decided on Insanity. I did some reseach and thought it was a great program. Pus the before and after pictures of individuals who have done it is enough to inspire me.
Here is the kicker. I didn't want to have to spend so much ordering from BeachBody, who distributes the dvd's. I had spoken to my friend who happened to have the dvd's and she said she would make some copies for me. However she was taking FOREVER to mail them out.
I then decided to go on to Ebay and see how much I could get them for. People were bidding like crazy. There were tons to choose from. While searching I found someone selling it for a bit less than $100. I hit the buy it now button, paid for it and anxiously awaited a shipping confirmation. Not 1 hour after I paid for it Ebay send me a message saying they removed the item for security reasons, and I shouldn't pay for it. Too late! So I was bummed thinking I wouldn't get my item, plus the seller never got back to me after I sent a message.
I was super annoyed, but knew this was what I wanted to do. I went onto BeachBody and ordered it from. It cost $162 with shipping. Gah! Yesterday I received the one from Ebay, last picture. Today I got the one from BB, 1st picture.
Huge diference. The one from Ebay, which is selling a lot is counterfeit. It brings everything the original does, but is boxed and stored differently. Anyhow, the kit brings 10 dvd's, a nutrition guide, and a workout calendar. The program is said to show dramatic results by the completeion of it which is 60 days.
I fear for my life! Lol. I won't lie. I've seen friends do it and I've seen the videos. The workouts are brutal, but effective.
I will be posting updates on my progress.
Have you done this workout? Would you?

With the warm weather, like clothes, you have to adjust your makeup to fit the seasons. In the winter I wear darker colors, as well as nudes. For the summer I prefer to go with soft, light, and bright makeup. For the past few months I have been reaching for the same 3 items. Now, its not all I wear, but I find myself wearing them a lot.
The items are Peachtwist blush, supreme sheen lipstick in
Fashion City, and Call Me Bubbles quad. All from MAC. I believe all except the quad are permanent. The quad came out in late Jan. early Feb. with MAC's shop/cook collection. Also all of these are from MAC.
The items alone look great, but they do a great job of complimenting each other when worn together. Fashion City, 1st swatch, goes on very smooth, and is a soft coral shade. Peachtwist blush, 2nd swatch, I guess the name says it all, is a peachy/coral shade with soft shimmer. This applies great. It does not go on chalky, nor does it have fallout. It has great staying power as after 6 hours it still looks like it is freshly applied. Call me Bubbles quad has a mix of soft and bright colors. This may not work for all due to skintone, but for women that have a soft tan or are of color, it looks great. They all go on very smooth, minus the pink shade which has a bit off fallout. I use the lighest 3rd from left, shade as my highlighter, brow bone shade. The second shade 4th from left, as my overall lid color. The 3rd shade 5th from left, I use on the outer edge and v. The last shade I use in the crease. When blended well, and adding a black liner, the look is gorgeous.
Again these are colors that work for me. I'm always asked what I'm wearing when I go out wearing it. Wearing its the shadows, blush, lipstick, or all. These colors just give you a soft look, which is perfect for this season.
Do you have any of these items? What are your go to makeup items for this season?

This was tonights dinner. An italian meatball casserole. It was my 1st time trying as well as making it and it was delicious. I'll be adding it to my list of dinner choice dishes.
I didn't come up with the idea alone. I'm currently on a FB group with a lot military wives. As is with most groups people post a lot of stuff. Questions, pictures, rants, and foods. I had seen it posted last week
and several people tried the recipe and all swore by how good it was. I decided to ollow suit and give it a try.
What you need:
Oven compatible baking dish
bread
1 pack of italian meatballs
onions
peppers
olive oil
spaghetti sauce
mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven at 325. Cut up bread into thin slices, or whatever width you prefer. Cover bread with olive oil just one side will do. I used a cooking brush to layer the oil evenly. Lay bread with olive oil facing up at the bottom of your dish. Next place the rest of the bread standing up along the sides of the dish. Slighly over lapping each piece. For the sides, the olive oil should be facing in. Place in the oven for 12-15 minutes until bread is slightly browned and crisp.
While that is in the oven add your meatballs to a bowl. A used a frozen package. Depending on how big your pan is you may not need the entire package. I did not have to thaw the meatballs. Next add chopped onions and peppers. I also used frozen packs for this. I did let those thaw. Next add a can of spaghetti sauce. Mix.
Once your bread is ready, pull out the pan and scoop your the contents from you bowl, and place in the middle of your bread. Place back in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Once that is done, cover middle portion, meatballs, with mozzarella chees. Place in the oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and soft. Or to your preference. Serve.
To serve it I just held a piece a bread while still in the pan, and spooned the contents on it. When doing this be careful not to burn yourself against the pan. My husband loved this as did I. I do however have to figure out a better method. Some of the bread, mainly on the bottom was a bit soggy, but only on the top.
Have you made this before? Is this something you would try?

This was tonights meal! Coincidently, I had been thinking about making chicken soup. I have never made it prior to this. Crazy I know. Well yesterday I saw a post by Stephanie where she made chicken noodle soup, and I knew it was fate. I HAD to make it. I know, I can be a bit dramatic.
I did mine without noodles as stated in my title. When My hubby got home as soon as he walked in he asked
what smelled so good? I was giggling like a school girl. When I make new dishes I always worry about it not coming out good. He was excited to eat and began singing that horrid song. ♫Chicken noodle soup. Chicken noodle soup. Chicken noodle soup, with a soda on the side♫ What was more embarrassing was that as he sang it, I did the leg shuffle and slide that goes along with the song. *Hangs head in shame* Lol. I loved it as well as my hubby and he even asked for a second serving! I will definitely be adding this to my meal plans.
What I did:
I used 1 1/2 pieces of chicken breast. I washed and cut it into tiny pieces and put it to boil in plain water. I let it cook for about 30m.
While the chicken was cooking I peeled, cut and washed 2 potatoes. I then took 2 stalks of celery and cut it into small pieces. Next I didn't have fresh carrots so I added a can of sliced carrots to the mix.
Once the chicken was done I drained, and recleaned the pot. I then added a full box of low sodium chicken broth to the pot. I added in the already cooked chicken. Then the prior items I had set aside. Next I added 4 small corn on the cobs. I then filled the pot to the top with water. For flavor I added parsley, garlic salt, and seasoning powder which is basically a salt and pepper mix.
For rice I just did minute rice since we weren't eating a lot of it. I placed them in a bowl then turn it upside down. Made for a perfect mound. For my meal I added a slice of avocado. My husband didn't want any.
The meal turned out delicious! My hubby asked when is the next time I plan on doing this again.
Have you made this before? Would you? Are you a fan of soup?

Yes, another haul! I have been doing a bit of shopping. A lot of it is still hauls that I just never got around to posting. It seems that as of late while I have bought other brands, I've seemed to have hopped on the Essie train.
My last haul was also Essie polishes. Mainly their latest collection. Poppy Razzi which is neons. After uploading these photos I think the 1st 2 have a similar look
to 2 of the polishes I hauled. Anyhow, I'm hoping these fair better since its going with their regular formula. The Poppy Razzi collection isn't that great of a formula.
What I picked up:
Ole Caliente
Orange, its obvious
Pink a boo
No more film
If I remember correctly all of these polishes are from newer more recent collections. But don't quote me on that. I picked these up from Target for $7.79 each. I saved .21 with each! Lol. I would much rather spend a lot less, but I have yet to find a place that carries Essie for less. Aside from online, that is.
What do you think of these colors? Are they colors you would wear? Do you have any of these?

A few weeks ago I was on dulcecandy.com. I love to see what new looks she comes up with as well of her use of accessories. On one of her posts she wore a watch similar to the one above. Only her's was in a gorgeous mint shade. She had found hers at Asos.com, so I quickly went on to see if they had it.
Of course not! Yes, I was disappointed. I figured I might as well look around. In doing so I
found the watch above and just knew I had to have. It was just so sleek and pretty. A perfect watch for casual or dressy attire. MINE! The color is a very soft cream/beige. I'm hoping it doesn't look white in the images. The watch came in a sleek black box, with a pillow to keep up the shape.
Directly from Asos: Analogue watch by ASOS Collection. featuring a circular face with a three hand movement, tonal indices and dial, gold-tone bezel with a single crown to side, patent leather strap with an adjustable length and a pin buckle closure.
Cost $45.45, sleek, gorgeous, and inexpensive. Also comes in 3 other, yet equally gorgeous colors. Black, neon pink, and a vibrant blue.
Exact watch :

OH MY LANTA! I just went on the site to copy the link and the watch I was looking for, the mint one was back in stock!!!! Sweet baby Jesus! I quickly placed my order before coming back to finish the post. Which is funny. I was doing this post earlier today and was done. When I had linked the watch, the mint one was not there. They must have just added it. Here is the kicker, I went to link it for you gals, and it is now out of stock! that was fast!
Anyhow, back to my mini haul. After adding the watch to my bag, I decided to look at their bracelets. There I found a really cute italic initial chain link bracelet. I quickly added it also to my bag. I will not link the bracelet as its my initial. They don't have every single initial, but still have a few. Cost $10.91.
I can't wait to get my order! What do you think of my watch? Is this something you would wear? Do you like my bracelet? Do you have any initial items?
