Mini Wal-Mart Haul
I’ve been on the hunt for the full Wet and Wild comfort Zone palette for a while, since so many people have raved about it, but just my luck, it’s been out of stock at my local Wal-Mart forever, and I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
But last weekend, I went to Wal-Mart with my mom to help her do some shopping, and during a quick look of the beauty section, I noticed
they had one left!!! These are about 4 dollars, and you get 8 shadows which is super cheap! The shadows aren’t bad quality either – a little powder-y so there is a little bit of risk of fallout, but if you are careful, it’s not bad at all.
While I was there, I noticed that the Hard Candy products were mostly on sale as part of their summer Rollbacks. I recently posted about a haul from the USA where I bought a Hard Candy mascara and wasn’t too impressed. However, my sister swears by them, so I decided to give another version a shot. I ended up picking the Lash Ink mascara, which is supposed to stay on for up to 4 days! I’ll do a review of both mascara’s soon, after I get a chance to test out this one.
I also needed a concealer and chose Hard Candy Glamoflauge since it seems to be quite popular. This package also came with a little pencil concealer as well. So far, I’ve liked the pencil more that the liquid since the liquid seems kinda greasy. Even after I shake it there is this oily feeling where I apply it. The pencil has been much more successful.
Anyways, that was my little beauty haul. Have you tried any of these items? What’s your favourite? Least favourite?

Korean Food - Kayagum restaurant
I want to share with you all one of my new favourite restaurants in Toronto.
It's a Korean place called Kayagum, and the reason I love it so much is that it is open 24 hours! It's actually pretty close to where I live, and it's a great spot to hit up when you are looking for a bite to eat on the middle of the night!
It's become the go to place for me and
my little brother because we both volunteer at our community centre, and usually aren't done until really late. Since we try to avoid fast food, this has become the spot to get a good meal in the middle of the night lol!
We have been a few times now, and we are starting to figure out what our favourites are.
We always get an order of the Kayagum Salad, that has lettuce, tomato, shredded carrots and beets, lots of avocado and a citrus-y dressing (like the kind at sushi restos).
I also love glass noodles or jap chae, so we always grab an order of those as well.
We've discovered that this place is known for their amazingly crispy sweet and spicy chicken. They have a milder version and a super spicy version. We've only tried the mild one, but my brother wants to get the super spicy one next time we go.
Lastly, I wanted to try their pork katsu last time we went, and with all the items we've tried so far, I haven't been disappointed. They had this amazingly creamy sauce poured over top... It was delicious!
I've also had the beef bulgogi and veggie BiBimBap which were both great as well, on previous visits :)
I'm really excited to go back soon and try some other exciting dishes :)
What is your favourite Korean dish?

Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frap
Since the Starbucks Happy hour promotion has still been going, I made another trip to Starbucks today.
They have been advertising their last Frappucino creation, the Caramel ribbon crunch frap, and since I love caramel, I decided to give it a try.
I have to saw, there was a lot of syrup involved, so while I would order this again, I'd probably ask
for light syrup. I don't even want to think about how much sugar and calories is involved with this drink. SMH
On the other hand, I loved the crunch pieces so I would ask for extra of those!
Have you been taking advantage of the Happy Hour promotion? (Today is the last day!) What are your favourites fraps?

Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich and salad
I've been working late hours at work recently, which has made dinner a little tricky.
Last night I arrived home after everyone in my family already had dinner, but there was none left for me.
Luckily, I was able to put together a quick and easy dinner with stuff my mom had picked up from the grocery store earlier that day!
She had bought a
rotisserie chicken, some spring mix and fresh bread, among other things, and I put them together for this quick and easy dinner.
First, I made a sandwich using some of the bread. I grabbed some veggies we already had in the fridge, like lettuce and tomatoes, and used slices of chicken breast from the chicken in the sandwich. I added a little bit of mayo and mustard for some kick.
I also made a salad using the rest of the tomato, the spring mix, and some cucumber, and topped it with my favourite Greek style dressing.
After a long day at work, this was a perfect meal to end the day :)

Small Coupon haul
I’ve become a couponing fiend as of late, and scour my weekend paper and even online to score great coupons. Usually companies put out coupons for newer products they are releasing and it’s great to able to save money on items you were thinking of trying anyways.
One item I was looking to try out is the new Covergirl Outlast stay brilliant polish and recently found a
coupon in a monthly insert that comes in the weekend newspaper for 2 dollars off any Covergirl makeup. I thought it was the perfect chance to try out this new polish. There were a few colours that looked great but I finally picked this deep burgundy colour called Wine to Five.
I’ll do a review of it soon.
I also had a coupon for a Nivea lotion and while I really wanted to try their Nightime version, I noticed that the Happy Time lotion happened to be on sale. Since it was already 2 dollars cheaper than usual, and I had a coupon for another 3 dollars off, I couldn’t resist picking this one instead
Nivea is one of my favourite lotion brands and I use their classic cream all the time, but it tends to take a while to sink into the skin. The lotions are much better for that, so I’m glad to try this one out!
If you live in Canada and want your own Nivea coupons, you can find them here!

Ocean’s SnacKit
I usually don’t have time for lunch on most days, since I’m so busy, so I try to have a late breakfast to tide me over until dinner. But on certain days, I need something in between to tide me over. On one of these days, I grabbed a SnacKit that my mom has bought a bunch of from Costco. These little packages comes with crackers and a mini can of tuna.
These are great
to grab and take with you to work since they are pre packaged and neat. The mini can of tuna has a mayo like dressing, so it’s similar to Tuna salad. The package also has a napkin and spoon for you to eat with.
Overall these are a great idea, but since I don’t normally eat lunch, the mayo dressing was a little too rich for me. I’m glad it was a small serving since the mayo made it kind of heavy. It still tasted pretty good though.
Have you ever tried these SnacKits?

I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks coffee so even though there is one a 2 minute walk from where I live, I rarely go.
For the most part, I don't drink coffee anyways, but every now and then, especially when it is hot out, I'll go grab a frappucino.
Recently, Starbucks brought back their summer "Happy Hour", so from May 3rd to May 12th, if you go in between 3 and 5 pm, fraps are only 1/2
price!
Since it was such a nice day, I decided to go over and grab a Vanilla Bean frap (my fav) - with the discount, it cost just over 2 dollars!
The best part is I got randomly selected to participate in their survey which means I get a free drink next time I go in :)
I'm definitely going back for more 1/2 price fraps soon, and I'll save my free drink for after May 12 :P

Lisa’s Cosmetics Sale
A couple of times a year, there is a really popular warehouse sale near where I live called Lisa’s Cosmetics Sale. Despite the name, they carry much more than just cosmetics and my mom and I always try to go and stock up on some of our favs
My mom ended up with a lot more than I did, but I’m only sharing with you my items
I was able to get:
2 bottles of
Satin Care shave cream for $2.49 each (normally around 4 dollars each)
2 Revlon True Red Brushes for 5 bucks (normally between 8-10 dollars for a 2 pack)
2 Bottles of Marcelle Make-up remover for $5 each (normally at least $12-$15!)
Dove Shampoo and Conditioner for $2.99 each (normally ~$5)
A pair of NYC tweezers for $2.99 - I don’t know how much these normally cot since I can’t find them anywhere! I already have a pair and love them so I grabbed these as backup! ;)
H2O Spa body scrub for $17 dollars – apparently this size normally costs around 40 dollars! I love body scrubs and this one is supposed to be amazing!
Advil travel pack for 2.99 (20ct) – I always carry Advil since I’m prone to headaches and this little container is easier to carry in my purse or make-up bag. I will probably just end up refilling this bottle from the big one I have at home!
3 Tivoli glitter polishes for 99 cents each! As a true nail polish addict, I couldn’t resist!
Clean and Clear blemish spot treatment for $3.49 (normally 8 or 9 dollars)
Large 1.5 L bottle of Tressemme Conditioner for $3.49 ( normally closer to 8 or 9 dollars for this size). I wish they had the shampoo as well, but they were all sold out!
2 boxs of Nair face and bikini wax strips for $3.99 each (normally 9 or 10 dollars)
2 boxes of Veet 40 ct Wax strips for $8.99 (normally 16+ bucks each)
But my absolutely fav items I grabbed in the haul are the 2 Stila Smudge Stick eyeliner sets! These were $14.99 each but they retail for MUCH MORE! Both sets have 5 liners in them but one set is a limited edition selling for 42 dollars CND (32 AMD) while the other is 40 CND.
It’s crazy since Sephora sells these liners for 26 dollars EACH! So for a little more than he price of one at Sephora, I got 10 liners! They basically cost me about 3 dollars each, plus tax!
I’ve heard great things about the smudge sticks, and I’m so excited to try them out!
The sale runs over 3 consecutive weekends, and this past weekend was the first one. If you live in the GTA, I highly suggest checking them out!

Air Wick Colour Changing Candles
I want to share with you all, my latest obsession which is the Air Wick Colour Changing Candles!
These candles are so cool since they have a little LED light embedded in them so when you light them, the light turns on and morphs into all these pretty colours.
It's actually cool the way the sensor works. My brother figured out a neat little trick - if you
point your remote control at the top of the candle, it will turn on the lights lol!
Candles themselves already lend to a relaxing mood, but I could stare at these candles all day since they are so pretty!
I'm actually going to tell you how I bought these two candles for less than the price of one!
I've been doing a lot of couponing lately, and it's helped me save money on items I would buy anyways, or items I've been wanting to try.
I get a lot of my coupons from a few websites I check every so often. I found a printable 5 dollars off a purchase of 10 dollars coupon for these Air Wick Colour Changing Coupons.
I usually go to Walmart for my couponing adventures, but I noticed that these candles are priced at 9.99! That would mean I would have to buy 2 candles all because of that measly penny to get my 5 dollars off! So instead I decided to check out Shopper's Drug Mart. Items at Shopper's are usually priced a little bit higher, so I was hoping this would work out in my favour!
Here's where my luck also came into play! They had 3 different scents all priced at $10.99 so between the Lavender, Vanilla and Fresh Water scents I chose the last Vanilla one on the shelf.
But when I went up to the cashier, the candle was ringing up at only 2.75, an Extreme discount! I was hoping that the other scents would be the same price, but the other candles were ringing up normally. I decided that I would still buy the Vanilla one and also purchased the Fresh Water scented candle as well.
So with my coupon, I ended up paying just over 10 dollars, which is the price of one at regular price!
I'm going to print myself another coupon and see if I can go back and find some more of the Vanilla candles that have been marked down!
Wish me luck!

Essie ‘Lights’ Nail polish
I’ve always loved Essie polishes, but unfortunately, they are a little too pricey for me usually 10 bucks a pop.
But it’s always great when you can find Essie polishes at a discount. My favourite spot to buy polishes is Toronto Barber and Beauty supply and they always have a great selection of polishes. They also tend to put lots of polishes on clearance.
I bought the ‘Lights’ polish on sale for 4 dollars along with some other polishes (check the haul out here:
http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/toronto-barber-and-beauty-supply-nail-polish-haul?blog_id=46165)
Lights is from the Poppy-razzi collection and is an amazing pink shade with a hint of coral. It’s an especially great shade for spring/summer, especially now that spring has decided to make a small appearance in Toronto....
It applies really well, like a lot of Essie polishes tend to do so. It’s a very creamy and smooth finish and is very opaque. You could probably get away with one thick coat, but I always prefer to do 2 thinner coats.
I love this shade, even though it is not the typical sort of polish I go for.
What do you guys think of this colour?
