Hi everyone!
For Easter I spent the day decorating eggs with my boyfriend's family. This wasn't even supposed to be an Easter manicure but everyone kept saying how cute it was because it resembled the Easter basket grass. The "grass" we had was the transparent kind that was a mixture of pink/green/yellow. Initially I only put Twisted on top of Barefoot in Blue but the Sparkle Top Coat put a
bit more oomph. The flakies are harder to see when they're not paired with a black base. Sorry for the post spam, I'm trying to reach my goal before the end of the week. =]
What I used:
-1 coat of Milani Smoothe Base Coat
-2 coats of Essie - Barefoot in Blue
-1 coat of Fingerpaints - Twisted
-1 coat of Fingerpaints - Sparkle Top Coat
What did you have on your nails for Easter? What do you think about this combination?

Hi everyone!
I really enjoy nail stamping because it's really amazing the designs that are available. Apparently these Red Angel image plates have become very popular because they have different designs from Konad & Bundle Monsters. It costs $17 for 21 plates on Amazon, which is a pretty good deal. I know a lot of people do not like the fact that it doesn't have the paper backing, which causes
it to be a sharp thin piece of metal. I personally have never cut myself with my fauxnad plates so I'm not too concerned.
Do you like nail stamping? What's your favorite brand of plates?

Hi everyone!
Lately I've been breaking out a bit, I think it's from stress. I rarely get breakouts so I didn't have any acne skin care products in my house. I received samples of these from Mario Badescu a while back. If you haven't signed up for the free samples, I believe you can still do so by filling out the questionnaire on their site. I remember them working well so I thought it was time
to buy the full sized products.
I bought the Drying Mask and the Healing and Soothing Mask. They cost $18 each for 2 oz, which seems really expensive but a little goes a long way. The only thing I hate is the smell. The Drying Mask significantly reduces the size of the pimple overnight. The Healing and Soothing Mask helps my skin heal properly so it doesn't leave any acne scars.
Have you tried Mario Badescu products? What are your go to acne products?

Hi everyone!
Earlier I posted about my haul for 2 holo polishes and this is one of them. I was super excited to try it because it's my first holo polishes ever. I wanted to paint my nails before I head out tonight. I wanted my nails flashing with the lights lol. The holo effect shows up best in direct lighting. My camera has trouble capturing the red/orange in the rainbow but it's
there.
Here I have 2 coats and application was a breeze! I had to shake very well because the pigments were clumping together. The polish itself is slightly thin but not runny. It dries incredibly fast and you can see the rainbow forming as soon as it dries. For holo polishes it's recommended to either buy the special base coat or buff your nails. I buffed my nails and applied with no base coat. Overall I'm extremely pleased and you can probably expect another haul from the other colors soon lol.
What do you think about this polish? Worth $15.50? Do you have any holo polishes?

Hi everyone!
I started collecting polishes around August 2011 and what hooked me in was when I saw swatches of China Glaze OMG. I was bummed when I found out it was extremely hard to find without paying ~$60 on eBay. I've searched for alternatives but everything with a strong holo effect was still too expensive. I found these while browsing on Ulta.com and after seeing swatches I was
completely in love! I bought these at AVEYOU.com because it was tax free & had a 20% coupon code lol.
These cost $15.50 each for 10ml, it is expensive but I know it's worth it because the the pigment for holo polishes are quite expensive to begin with. Lately I've only been buying polishes I will love rather than just to have a bigger collection. It has helped me control my spending on polish, which we all know can get really expensive since there are so many brands & new collections. There are 6(?) colors in this collection and I'm super tempted to get them all =x
Here I have Mercury Twilight and Ocean Rush. I should have swatches up soon because I'm definitely painting my nails tonight =D
Do you have any holo or Layla polishes? Which one should I use first?

Hi everyone!
Currently Macy's is having a sweepstakes, where you can win free gift cards. Basically you go to www.delivr.com/macys_index on a mobile device and watch each video for a chance to win a gift card ranging from $10-$500 ($25 being most common). You can watch each video once a day until you win. To enter the giveaway you need a cell phone number that can receive text messages because
the gift card is sent to your phone via text message. It's very simple but not all phone numbers win on the first day. So far everyone I've told has won a gift card so good luck to any of you that try =]
My sister & I went to Macy's and this polish caught her eye. My sister only wears french manicures so this would be great as a polish topper. This is Mica Rose by Chanel ~ it's a sheer pink nude shimmer. It's not unique enough to say it was worth it but it was free anyways. This isn't my first Chanel polish but I will be posting my first Chanel polish soon. I wanted to get this post up first in case any one wants to try the sweepstakes. I think I'm going to check out the shoe department with the rest of my free gift cards hehe.
Did you know about this sweepstakes? What would you buy at Macy's if you had $25 gift card for free?

Hi everyone!
This is the polish I won from the TOMS/Essie giveaway. I wasn't sure if I wanted to post swatches because I didn't want people who didn't win want it more.. The polish is going for ~$30 on eBay, which I think it is a shame. If people didn't really want the polish then they shouldn't have entered the giveaway so people who would actually appreciate it could win.
Formula was a
bit weird for me. I don't own any colored Essie so I'm not sure if this is usual. The formula was not too thick and not too thin. The first coat had bald spots and the second coat made it better. However, the second coat had trouble leveling itself out. I ended up putting a bit more polish to level it out but in the end it made me feel like the polish was too thick. I really do like the color though. I think it's in between sky and periwinkle blue. It's a very nice blue that sometimes looks greyish purple.
Have any of you ever had similar problems with an Essie polish? What is the usual formula with Essie polishes? What do you think about this color?

Hi everyone!
Recently Five Guys opened in my local mall. I was pretty excited because I heard it was the East Coast equivalence to In-N-Out. First off ordering was confusing because they have burgers and "little" burgers. When I hear "little" burgers, I think of kids meal burgers. Isn't that logical? lol apparently not since the "little" burgers are the regular sized burgers. The "regular"
burgers at Five Guys is when it has 2 patties. I ordered the regular one by accident. No wonder why the cashier had to ask me 3x if I was sure I wanted the regular bacon cheeseburger not the little one lol.
The bacon cheeseburger was very big but the flavor was just okay. I was sad that there was not much flavor whatsoever. I could tell the ingredients were fresh but that's it. Five Guy burgers are about $2 more expensive than In-N-Out. We also ordered cajun style fries but they were over seasoned ~ too salty. My choice is definitely In-N-Out! For me Five Guys didn't live up to the hype and it left us confused as to why there was any hype to begin with. Sorry for the bad picture, it didn't help that the burger was smashed like that lol. I had the fries at home so that's why it's on a plate.
Have you ever tried Five Guys? In-N-Out? Which do you prefer?

Hi everyone!
Sorry I've been super MIA, just been super busy. I still take pictures of everything so I need to catch up on a lot of posts hehe. Well a few weeks ago TOMS & Essie did a collaboration giveaway for this limited edition Essie polish called Barefoot in Blue. They gave out 15,000 of these polishes, which I think is super generous. I had no idea I won until I received a package from
TOMS/Essie today. It was a nice surprise and I'm thankful!
The main purpose was to raise awareness about the One Day Without Shoes campaign. On April 10, they want people to go a day without shoes to raise awareness about the millions of children who live without shoes. You can read more about it in the source link. Even if you can't participate in the movement, you could still support them by buying a pair of TOMS!
Did you enter this contest? If so, did you win? Do you own any pairs of TOMS?

Hi everyone!
My friend is a big Bobbi Brown fan and she recently recommended me this palette. It's called the Ultra Nude Eye Palette by Bobbi Brown. I ordered it from Sephora.com for $45. It's pretty expensive but I had a $20 gift card so $25 isn't too bad lol. The palette has 2 mattes, 3 shimmers, and 1 metallic eyeshadow.
First impressions though, the packaging is a finger print magnet. I
absolutely hate that!! For me that's a hassle no matter how nice and classy it looks. Another thing, when I opened the package I noticed how there was a ton of fall out all over the packaging. I was immediately worried because I thought the shadows broke during shipping. If there was that much fall out just from shipping, I can't imagine how much fall out there will be on my face.
I also ordered the Hello Kitty polish in Red Sparkle because it was on sale for $5 and I wanted to meet the $50 minimum for free shipping. I'm a little bit of a Hello Kitty fan =]
Have you ever tried Bobbi Brown eyeshadows? Do they usually have a lot of fall out?
