I love polyvore and I love how they did their year in review including events and fashion trends that surfaced or resurfaced in 2010, if you click on the source link it will bring you to the site. So many of the years events tied into fashion. Of course one of the major events being the loss of the great designer Alexander McQueen. Clogs and messenger bags made a comeback, but what trend were
you glad left us in 2010 and hoping not to see return in 2011? or what do you want to see resurface?
Hopefully I posted this in the right place, this strange little toy deserves its own universe. Anyways a few months ago my dad found my dear old little freakish furby in the basement and felt the need to revive it and place it on his computer desk. The thing was more freakish than i remember, it would randomly go off with its key phrases "partyyyyy" .... "boringgggg" "ok donee" or start singing
to itself in the middle of the night, then randomly it died, we tried replacing the batteries, nope, he was permanently asleep... or so we thought, today my dad randomly put in some new batteries and BAM the thing is talking and singing like no tomorrow. Why did I ever want this thing, I mean I realyyy wanted it, 5th grade and that was the only toy I wanted for christmas, so mine and my friends furby's could all talk together at recess.. now I'm about to bury it in teh backyard. Anyone have furbies back in the day? or still have them? do you think they're freakish or cute?
I got the rose color first, because I wanted a tinted lip treatment for the summer that had spf in it. I instantly fell in love with it. It feels amazing when u put it on your lips, its softer than a chapstick but not sticky, and it has an amazing lemon sugar scent. The rose color looks really bright, but it's pretty sheer, giving u a nice tint of rosy pink color. They both have spf 15 and my
first tube lasted me a while. The only thing you hafto be carful with is in the summer, if u bring it to the beach it might get a little mushy. I loved the colored one so much I decided I wanted the clear one for the daytime, and it would be good for the winter, my lips have been insanely chapped lately. So thankfully I got the fresh orginal for christmas and I'm so excited. Fresh beauty products are awesome. There's also a darker color good for the fall, I think its plum, also a sheer tint, I got my mom to buy that one. So if you need a good lip treatment, i definitly reccomend this. ( I bought them at sephora but there are also actual Fresh cosmetic store's that you could probaly purchase them at as well)
I wasn't sure what universe to put this in but because it's a bowl I figured food. I just saw this on TV a few minutes ago, amazing. Now I am a kitchen gadget/infomercial junkie, turbo cooker, magic bullet, perfect pancake maker, yep i've got them. Although this doesn't cook food it stores food and looks like a good time. Especially for someone like me who spills stuff all the time, this looks
perfect, especially for parties. They definitly need to come out with some adult colors and patterns.
has anyone tried these? do they really work. Also the video, like most informercials is hilarious.
I recently discovered this video, well actually this little gem popped up on my fb newsfeed a few weekends ago and I fell in love. Marcel is definitly my favorite video that i watched in 2010. so freakin adorable! I quote this video daily and plan on making my own marcel
This kind of made me sad, as I looked back on 2010 because I graduated college and now entering 2011, I'm really unsure of what's to come, job wise, life wise, pretty much anything and everything. Sometimes I wish I could go back and repeat the past year, my last year of college, constantly surrounded by people and my friends, and now entering 2011 I am living with my parents and unemployed...
not quite how I want to start the new year, but hopefully it will get better, because there are lots of 11/11 dates this year and thats good luck right? or maybe just meant for wishes, but I'll just pretend its good luck. I've been trying to think of some new years resolutions besides the cliche ones to lose weight etc. but havent thought of any yet.. anyone have any good ones? i guess I should have a resolution to get a real job and move out.
So 2010 it's been nice knowing ya, lots of good mem's,
[reluctently] bring on the new year!
i purchased these shoes over the summer at a reebok outlet because they were $30 cheaper and basically the same exact thing. I absolutly love them. First off they don't look as ridiculous as the sketchers tone ups, no offense to those who sport those, but I dont think i could everrr pull off that luck, So I was really excited when reebok came out with these. My legs were somewhat tone before I
got them, but i think they've definitly added extra when i'm working out. You can run and do cardio fine in them. I find them kind of fun to walk around in because of the mini balance balls on your feet, I wear them around my house all day and I think they've definitly helped to firm up my lower half. I mean don't get me wrong they're no workout replacement and you don't put them on and magically get fit legs, but as far as helping to tone they're great and they don't look like platform shoes. Even if they aren't doing anything, and its all in my head I feel better wearing these around my house than sloppin around in slippers.
So like i've noted before, I recently become obssesed with exercise tv on demand, it allows me to try out alot of exercise dvds without buying them and i don't have to leave my living room. So now that christmas is over and I noticed that I may have eaten one too many of those christmas cookies I decided i needed to start doing some more intense cardio and ab work. I've done Jillian's kickboxing
dvd and I really liked it so I thought i'de give this a try. Wow. was it inense. Its around 38 minutes long and combines abs and cardio which I liked. It was also a mixture of mat work and standing ab moves. The first time I did it I had no idea what i was getting myself into, I had already worked out that day so I was pretty much dead halfway through. I did it the next day before my other workouts and was able to do the whole thing, but still, holy crap, it really gets your heart rate up and I was dripping with sweat 15 minutes in. When its over you do feel pretty accomplished though. Supposedly if you do this 5 days a week for 6 weeks you'll have a 6 pack, I'm only on day 8, so no 6 pack yet and I get really A.D.D. with workouts so i'm not sure if I'll stick it out for 6 weeks but I'll try, definitly a good workout though. There are 2 levels and she reccomens you switch to the more advanced level after 3 weeks. I'm definitly not close to that level yet, but I would say I'm a little more advanced then the begginer level 1 so I tend to combine both levels for the more intermediate level. So if you're like 90% of the country who always puts that goal to lose weight on your list of new years resolutions I definitly reccomens this workout, and the dvd is only $9.99 on Amazon.com
I got this video orginally from exercise tv on demand, which im obsessed with. I've done yoga on and off for a few years but im no guru, and after college i had definitly lost a good chunk of my flexibility and strength. I picked this video randomly one morning because I wanted to get into the habbit of doing yoga every morning before I get going with my day. I really like this one because it's
only 20 minutes long so it doesnt take over your whole morning like some of them and its pretty basic but still gives you some good morning stretches to wake up your muscles. She does really good with breathing cues, which i like. Its good if you need a quick de-stresser too.
I won this in conest with a bunch of beauty products. I usually steer clear of self tanner, I tend to go for the real thing, as unsafe as it is I need my Vitamin D and I'm addicted to going to the beach, but in these frigid winter months I find myself frowning at the pasty shade of my skin. Pale is supposed to be healthier yet it looks so horrible, well on me. There are many that can pull off
that porcelain skin look and look beautiful, I, being Italian am not one of those, I am supposed to have bronze skin, So with the recent tax increase at tanning salons, and I don't want my skin to look like leather by the time I'm 30 I attempted to try out this bronzer. At first I didn't think it did much. Its not the strongest bronzing agent but I realized that's what I liked about it. It looks natural and definitly NOT orange. Someone actually asked me if I had been tanning, so I took that as a compliment. I do tan easily, and don't turn orange easily unless I apply excessive amounts of tanner, so if you're naturally pale I'm not sure how this will be on you, but even when I apply it to my face 3 nights in a row, it still looks pretty natural, and thats hard to find with face bronzers. I also use it on my arms and chest and it still looks natural, no streaks at all. So I'm definitly buying myself another bottle of this when it runs out because it's become one of my winter beauty necessities
