I have long loved DHC products, and recently they came out with something perfect for those trying to combat large pores - the DHC Pore Series. It works for all skin types, but just for reference mine is oily/combo.
I have been using the series for a few weeks and can report that it does make a difference in the size of your pores. There aren't many products out there that claim to actually
fix the pore size, but this series from DHC does work on the deeper problem, rather than just hide it.
Pore Lotion: This is the toner in the series. I use it in the mornings when I don't wash my face and just need to get rid of excess oil. I also use it in the evenings after washing off my makeup. It has a nice smell because it is alcohol free, which is rare for a toner. I couldn't pinpoint what the scent was but when I looked it up online, it is described as "refreshing grapefruit". The toner left my skin feeling refreshed and not stripped, like most toners do.
Pore Milk: This is a very lightweight lotion that helps control excess oil – a must for those with large pores! It feels like a watered down moisturizer, but I loved this because it soaked in SO quickly. It has artichoke leaf extract, vitamin C and powerful antioxidants to help firm skin and clarify pores so they look smaller. This is really the perfect moisturizer for those that live in a hot, sticky climate or just have oily skin year round.
Pore Essence: At first I thought this product was a primer or skin serum – it is kind of both! The Pore Essence has all kinds of goodies in it, like microcapsules that release pore-minimizing ingredients where needed by sensing the skin’s ion balance. It also contains oil-absorbing powders to improve the look of your pores instantly, Vitamins B3 and B6 for oil control and clarity, and pore-tightening mushroom extract. I use this after the Pore Milk soaks in (which takes about 1 minute!). I think it is great for just before makeup or before bed to give your skin a nice smooth finish. It is about the same consistency as the Pore Milk and has the same yummy grapefruit scent as the other products.
Overall, I think the DHC Pore Series does what it claims. My pores appeared smaller after about a week or two of use. With continued use and a good cleansing routine, I think the results will last. If one of your beauty concerns is large pores, this is a product series worth checking out.

I made these the other night and they turned out delicious! A big hit with the hubby too! It is really just a few steps, pop in the oven and ready to serve. I took a picture before they went in the oven, but must have been so eager to eat them, I forgot to take a finished product photo. The finished photo is from the Campbells website, where I got the recipe. Mine looked just as good! :-) If you
want to give it a try, here are the steps:
1 can Campbell's Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup Pace Picante Sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
6 flour tortillas (6-inch), warmed
1 small tomato, chopped
1 green onion, sliced
Heat the oven to 350°F. Stir the soup, sour cream, picante sauce and chili powder in a medium bowl.
Stir 1 cup soup mixture, chicken and cheese in a large bowl.
Divide the chicken mixture among the tortillas. Roll up the tortillas and place seam-side down in an 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Pour the remaining soup mixture over the filled tortillas. Cover the baking dish.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the enchiladas are hot and bubbling. Top with the tomato and onion.

Hi Beauty Luuuxers! Don't you just love Groupon? I had a Groupon phase and bought tons of them and am finally finishing them off. Hair appointments, spa days, furniture stores, the works. :-) I got a french mani and pedi for $35! I think she did a great job. She put the white on pretty sloppily, so I was worried at first, then she took out a paintbrush and dipped it in nail polish remover to take
off the excess and create that perfect line. It is a smart way to do it and when I have time someday, might give it a try!
Do you like french manis/pedis and do you have a special technique when you do it yourself?

According to the Los Angeles Times, 16 high-end vehicles have been recovered in shipping containers, ready for export, at the Port of Los Angeles. According to authorities, the shipping manifests show the vehicles were destined for Hong Kong and Vietnam.
One of the recovered vehicles was a 2010 Ferrari 458, which was originally stolen from a high-end rental car company. Wisely, the
rental company had fitted the 458 with a GPS tracking device that ultimately led Customs agents directly to a shipping container labeled “used fitness equipment”. Customs agents checked other containers with similar manifests and discovered an additional 15 vehicles.

I have been excited to try the NYX eyeshadow base and was checking my local Ulta's every weekend, but it has been out of stock for months and months at every store. Has anyone else not been able to find this product in stores? I finally ordered it on Amazon.com and was pleased to get it right away. I got the Skintone color but it also comes in a white and a white shimmer. It was $7 for a small
tub that looks like it will last forever. It is supposed to help your eyeshadow last longer and even out your skintone. I was disappointed that the color was a little yellow based and dark on my eyelid. It also doesn't cover discolorations very well. It is a creamy consistency, almost like a pot of concealer so ended up creasing on my eyelid. It is too bad that this product is a miss because I had high hopes for it.
Has anyone else enjoyed this product or were you also underwhelmed after all the hype?

The Snow White obsession has extended beyond the two competing movies out this season – and into your fashion and beauty regimen. The upcoming dark fairy tale thriller “Snow White and the Huntsman” (not to be confused with the softer, kiddie-friendly “Mirror Mirror”) has partnered with designers on a few collections this spring, including a 200-piece line for HSN including nail polish
by Deborah Lippmann. In addition, Benefit Cosmetics put together a special limited-edition makeup set titled “Rare Beauty” featuring Benetint rose-tinted lip and cheek stain, BADgal lash mascara, High Beam Deluxe highlighter and the Porefessional skin smoother.
Check out the pics to see a few of these Snow White inspired products.

Everyone loves getting a new Apple product, and if you have gotten one, usually you are back for more. But is it the products you love or the….smell? Apparently someone thought they should recreate the smell of a new Apple product as it is being unwrapped from its intricate packaging. The group of this creation calls themselves "Greatest Hits" and got help from Air Aroma to create this scent.
They ordered fragrance samples with the aromas of glue, plastic, rubber and paper from the south of France and then worked with professional perfume makers to create a fragrance using those scents.
In the end, their noses were pleased:
The scent created for Greatest Hits encompasses the smell of the plastic wrap covering the box, printed ink on the cardboard, the smell of paper and plastic components within the box and of course the aluminum laptop which has come straight from the factory where it was assembled in China.
"Apple fans will certainly recognize this smell," remarked Air Aroma's Alex Cosic.
Unfortunately most of us, Apple fans or not, will never get the chance to take a test sniff and see if the Greatest Hits fragrance really does smell like a brand new MacBook Pro — because was created for an artistic exhibition in Melbourne.
This won't be available for purchase, it is just an artistic endeavor. Thank goodness, because I doubt anyone would want to wear that scent!

Beauty pageant crowns sit atop the heads of some of the most beautiful women in the world. And so, while they will never be as beautiful as the person that wears it, they have to do what they can to compete. So it’s not really a surprise that the world’s most expensive beauty pageant crown includes diamonds and pearls, and has a truly princely price. And the person that wore it was one Miss
Russia.
Before the world ever sees these beauties in the Miss World or Miss Universe Beauty Pageants, these stunning women must first compete with women of their own country to see who will represent them at these final competitions. Miss Russia has only been entering these pageants since 1993. But since that time, there have been two Miss Russia’s that claimed that title of Miss World and Miss Russia that claimed the title of Miss Universe.
It was the winner of the 2010 Miss Russia competition that wore the world’s most expensive beauty pageant crown. Irina Antonenko was the winner of the 2010 Miss Russia competition that took place in March 2010. The celebration was an extravagant one as Miss Antonenko came to claim her title and her crown, gold glitter confetti rained down upon her. But even with the spotlight on her, many were there to just see the crown that would be placed upon her head. And some wondered if talk of the crown itself actually trumped Antonenko’s time in the spotlight. While that may seem absurd, when you hear what the crown consisted of, you can easily see why it gained so much interest.
The crown itself was very large, and completely covered the top of Irina’s head. Given its sheer size, and the fact that the frame was constructed from white gold, you wonder how Irina didn’t topple over wearing it. It was then decked out in 2,358 diamonds and 14 of the rarest pearls in the world. All of this made the crown’s value over $1 million USD.

Anyone who knows a little bit about history may not be surprised to hear that the most expensive aircraft was a product of the United States Department of Defense. It may also be no surprise to learn that the aircraft was designed to overtake Russian military.
The aircraft is a Northrop Grumman ATB or Advanced Technology Bomber and was called the B-2 Spirit. During the 1980s when the States
and Russia were in deep war with each other the States were looking to find a way past Russia’s anti-aircraft devices. This bomber was meant to do just the trick.
However, the project had a few failings. It first had to be redesigned from a high-altitude machine to a low-altitude machine. This not only lengthened the project by two years but it also added $1 billion to the overall project. Figures for the value of the B-2 Spirit vary between $737 million and $2.2 billion but the most commonly quoted cost of the world’s most expensive aircraft is $1.3 billion. You’ll have to find one first though. Because of the dissolution of the Soviet Union and because of the high cost, there were only a total of 21 of these bombers ever made!
