I actually received my Topbox last Friday... I feel terrible for waiting this long to post my review! I usually review my boxes as soon as I get them, but Topbox really surprised me! They usually ship out on or close to the 10th of the month, but this month it arrived on the the day I got my shipping notification O_O. LIGHT SPEED FAST HOLY CRAP. Anyways, here is my belated review about what I got
this month...
- AVEDA Caribbean Therapy Body Cream
- L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil
- MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask
- Vera Wang Lovestruck Floral Rush
Overall Thoughts
I think this month was just alright. It wasn't bad but I wasn't blown away either. That being said, I still prefer Topbox over Glymm box. They're more consistent in terms of delivery and their customer service seems a lot more organized. I've never had to send them a complaint over missing items and what not so I wouldn't know for sure, but from dealing with them on my friend's behalf they seemed good and prompt. Also, the brands in my topbox are more familiar to me and more accessible if I wanted to buy the full sized versions. With Glymm, many of the items I've only ever seen in their boutique if I wanted to continue and purchase.

Right... "February" Glymm bag -__-. Lol I finally got it today! Apparently they shipped out last week, but no one received notifications. Last month they told us when the box was going to be delayed, this month thye just decided to change the shipping date to the end of the month. I don't remember receiving any notice of this so I'm just going to assume they didn't give notice. This means from
now on your boxes are always received in the month following the actual month it's for @@. I guess for new subbies they won't notice since it'll feel like they're receiving their bags super early. Anyways, here's what I got this month:
- Purely Pro Eye Shadow
- Villainess Ginger Snapped Bar Soap
- Nailuv Gel Nail Polish
- Femme Couture Monster Gloss
- Lollipop (lol)
- 50% off at Shiny Set Coupon
Overall Thoughts
I think this month was again, just okay. It was a nice perk to have two full sized products, but nothing really got me super excited. The good thing is they are things I'll eventually use (except maybe the polish...) so it wasn't a let down :). I've already been charged for my March box, but I'll most likely cancel before they can charge me for April. It took some long decision making, but after subscribing to both Glymm and Topbox for over a year I think I've decided to just keep Topbox now. It's getting a bit expensive to keep both x_x. Not sure if I'll come back to Glymm... their organization just started to get a bit wonky and their customer service isn't like Topbox. I liked the beauty boutique points though which I have redeemed and will review my purchases when they arrive!

This week I originally wanted to just do a boring manicure. After buffing my nails, touching up the shape, pushing my cuticles, then oiling my nail beds I added 3 coats of the base polish (Misa Polka dot bikini) and headed out. The thing I hate most about doing my nails is the drying time! Sometimes although the nails are dry and can be touched, if you hit them on something or push hardly on the
nail, the polish isn't hardened enough so it still can get scratches and dents. After going to the movies I managed to add multiples dents and scratches to it. I blame my impatience for not letting each coat fully dry. Not wanting to redo the nails, I decided to attempt the jelly nail trend. I added some glitter polish, then sealed the glitter with the same colour I used for the base. The nails are smooth to the touch, and the glitter looks like it is floating inside the "jelly" lol. This only works with polishes that are somewhat sheer.
What I used:
- Sally Hansen Extended Wear Base
- Misa in Polka Dot Bikini
- Sephora by OPI in Mauve-ie star in the making
- L'oreal Topcoat
What do you guys think? This is a great way to fix up a messed up polish or touch up a mani after a few days. When in doubt, use glitter! If your base coat is dark, you can still use the glitter, but you won't be able to paint over it for the jelly effect :( Super easy and fast!

Lately the weather's been warming up slightly but it's still really cold! My love all winter has been angora sweaters. They are super warm and soft. At first I was turned off by the fact that it was rabbit hair, but after research the angora rabbit and the methods used to harvest it, I can rest easy. The angora rabbit is long hair rabbit. They harvest the fur from when they trim its long hair and
the cut off hairs get created into soft awesome sweaters. If anyone's a fan of the Japanese brand Rose Bullet, their "angola" line is made of angora.
The pink, over sized sweater I'm wearing in the photo was from H&M. While angora sweaters can be quite pricey, this one was a steal at $20. It's only 70% angora wool, but I'm not complaining. I've seen 100% angora sell for at least $100 which I'm not about to shell out for lounge and comfy wear lol. The H&M one is extremely soft and comfy to wear. The minor issue with angora is that it sheds, the hairs are shorter compared to a long man made fiber or spun cotton. It's not too bad though.
As for my makeup during winter, I try to keep it minimal. Today I was only wearing BB cream, lip balm, eyebrow pencil, liquid liner and mascara. I don't like putting much on my cheeks in winter because my skin gets so dry. Not sure if everyone experiences this but the more I put on my face, the more dry and cracked it gets T_T. That's why only moisturizer and bb cream in winter!

If you follow my blog, I recently posted about this beautiful Deborah Lippmann polish I received in the shade Ray of Light. Here is the swatch as promised!
I used two coats of Ray of Light on my nails, the polish gives almost a jelly manicured look. I'm sure I could make it even more jelly like if I added a sheer blue on top, but I wanted you guys to be able to see the colour of just the
polish on its own. The colour is a very dark, purplish blue with very discrete purplish glitter flecks inside. It didn't dry super bumpy like other glitter polishes so after one coat of topcoat I got the shine you see above. On its own it also has quite a bit of shine as well.
Overall I'm loving this shade and will probably use many times again like my other Deborah Lippmann polish. As much as I love DL polishes, they are a bit pricey at $20 a bottle x_x. Not sure if I'll be buying a bunch of these since I'm perfectly fine with my Sally Hansen ones lol :P On the plus side, removing glittery DL polishes seems easier than other glitters. Not sure if that's just me though.

Had a lazy day today and decided to wear a relax fit long sleeve tee with some jeans. To spice up the boring look I decided to wear my Hello Kitty frames which I purchased in Taiwan for 100nt (about $3 lol)! I totally forgot I even had these until I started cleaning my room =|
I'm wearing...
- Geo Ash Wing Contacts
- Skin79 Oriental BB Cream
- Sephora Translucent powder
- Benefit Eye
Bright
- Covergirl Eyebrow pencil in brown (2 for 1!)
- K Palette 24h Liquid Eyeliner pen
- Maybelline XXL Lash Extensions mascara
As cute as these glasses are I'm still unsure if I should wear them out. I felt completely normal wearing them while I was in Taiwan because a lot of girls had crazy accessories and glasses, but over where I live people dress much more... well... boring lol.
Anyways, what do you guys think?

I got my Topbox yesterday! Pretty quick shipping this time :)! The great thing about Topbox is you can always count on them to ship by the 10th unlike Glymm (who btw still has not sent me a shipping notification -_-). Anyways, prior to this month's box Topbox sent out an email asking if we would like to choose from three brand Prive boxes and showed us the contents of each. The Benefit one was
nice, but I owned a lot of the products that came with it already and the other two Prive boxes didn't really interest me. I decided to take my chances and go for a regular Topbox. I'm really glad I did because I LOVE this month's box :D! Here's a quick glimpse at what I received this month:
- Makeup Forever Pro Finish Powder Foundation
- B. Kamins Nutrient Replacement Cream Kx
- Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Ray of Light
- KMS California Freeshape Quick Blow Dry
I loved this month's box! It had a great variety of beauty products and many new brands to try. I was excited to use everything which I haven't felt for a while. Topbox usually impresses me so I've never considered unsubscribing to them before. Out of all the boxes I've tried I always recommend signing up for Topbox if you had to pick just one. Despite the $2 price increase to $12 recently, I have noticed their product samples are getting better as well.

Hey guys, I'm back with another one of my nail designs. This one's different from my usual style and a bit more young and cartoony. I wanted to try doing the connected nails look where the four fingers form a completed image. Tada.
When you put the four fingers together, it spells out LOVE in cursive :) I also added some pink dots so I wouldn't only use the dark pink on my thumb nail. Overall
I like how it turned out but the consistency of the light pink polish I used was very difficult to work with (doesn't go on smooth) so I ended up removing this design right before Valentine's lol. I hate bumpy polishes! They look so bad when they're not smooth!
Aside from the crappy polish, what do you guys think of the design?

I got lazy again this week and decided to go with the classic french mani once again! However I got really bored of the usual colours so I decided to twist it up again with an Oxblood base and gold tips.
What I used:
- sally hansen extended wear base coat
- Rimmel lasting finish pro in burgundy flirt
- Sephora by OPI in Self Maid Millionaire (i use this a lot...)
- L'oreal Topcoat
The
tips are done freehand because I couldn't be bothered to use the mani sticker guides (they're a huge pain to work with!) so excuse the fuzzy edges. I figured since it was gold on red no one would notice as much if they lines weren't as clean. I think I did a pretty good job keeping my hand steady :).

I got my January Glymm bag on Friday (Feb 1st) which is pretty late even for Glymm. What happened was they emailed everyone close to the 10th of January saying one item was delayed so the entire box that month would be delayed. No biggie, how nice of them to let us know right? No! No one heard anything for like weeks and even their Twitter and Facebook seemed oddly silent then out of no where
they emailed a shipment notification. I heard some people didn't even get a notification and the bag just sort of popped up on their doorsteps one day. Anyways, all errors aside, here is what I got this month:
- Lashem Double Trouble Mascara
- LA Fresh Facial Cleansing Wipes
- 360 Skincare Lavender Mint Firming Serum
- Coolway Boost Serum
- Bur's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion
This month was just okay. I liked the hair serum, but that was about it. The products were definitely worth the $10 of course so no complaints there. However starting with February's Glymm bag they've increased the monthly cost to $15.
