On Monday I received my BzzAgent Campaign box. This one is for "Taste Of Summer." In the box I received a full sized bag of the Private Selection Sea Salt & Pepper Kettle chips, a coupon for a free 6 inch pie, a coupon for a free thing of
ground beef, and coupons to save on things like ice cream, pie, etc. Basically, the stuff you'd need for a summer grill out! I'm excited because we do a
lot of grilling out over the summer. This stuff is perfect for us.
When the box came I was in the middle of eating lunch (a simple ham and cheese sandwich)... Once I busted into the box and saw the chips, they became part of my lunch. I have to say, they are really really good. They are salty while you are eating them and then after the chip is gone you still have that "bite" from the pepper lingering in your mouth. I think
these will be a sure-fire repurchase for my household and I will be bringing some of the kettle chips to the family July 4th get together we always have.
From the paperwork in the box, it would seem that some of the other chip flavors are spicy chipotle, blue corn tortilla, and salsa picante. I'm curious to find out if there are more, though.
I know my family members would definitely make use of some of the coupons, so I'll be handing those out asap.
Did you get in on this BzzCampaign? What campaigns have you gotten invited to recently?

While I was shopping at Meijer over the weekend a girl in the beauty department called me over to discuss a new product
that is being rolled out. I'm always willing to listen if it is a beauty/health product and there are free samples involved. There is a new brand on the market. I hadn't heard too much about them until the last week or so. I had seen a BzzCampaign for this brand and just
last night saw my first commercial for it. It is called CLEAR and is supposed to be a new way of looking at your hair products. Instead of just treating damage to the hair that has already grown out, it will nourish the scalp to CREATE healthy hair from the roots. Yeah yeah.. they all have their claims. BUT, I got 2 sample bottles, one for me and one for my husband. I'm willing to try them out to see how I feel about them.
The bottle for my husband is a 2 in 1 complete care shampoo. This one is to treat dandruff. He doesn't have dandruff but
does get a dry scalp if he uses shampoos that strip his scalp of moisture. Free is free, so I thought I'd grab it for him to try.
For me, the bottle is a Total Care nourishing daily conditioner. They didn't have a shampoo sample. I wish they had because it would have been more effecive to have the whole system to really try. Either way, I'll still give this a go and see how I feel about them.
Me and my husband were joking about the commercial, though. After it was over my husband turns to me and goes, "Apparently if you use this shampoo you'll be turned into a supermodel after 7 days." ...yeah, the commercial was quite corny and over the top, to say the least.
Have you heard about this new brand yet? Do you think you'll be trying them out?

Last night for dinner I threw together a simple casserole. That is one of the fantastic go-to meals for busy moms or just busy people, in general. They are hard to mess up, easy to put together, and easy to clean up. The one I made last night had things like rice, broccoli, chicken, and cheese. It was very good and a hit with everyone.
I started by steaming some fresh broccoli with a bit
of garlic and veggie seasonings. In a separate pan I made some instant white rice. As per usual, I used chicken bullion in the water to give more flavor. The next thing I did was combine a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of chicken soup, 2 (10 oz) cans of chunk chicken, milk, butter, cheese, and a packet of dry french onion soup. Once the broccoli was softened I kind of chopped it up with the end of a wooden spoon. I just wanted to break it into SOME smaller pieces so it wold mix well into the rest of the ingredients. Then that went into the mix with the soups and such. The rice was also dumped in. Everything was mixed up IN the glass baking dish that it was going to be baked in. Once everything was well mixed together I put it into a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
That was it. Simple enough, right? It was good, hot, and filling. Even the picky boys liked this one. You don't really need to add any salt or anything to the mix because the soups, alone, give tons of flavor. Infact, I'd taste it before you put it into the oven and see if you need to add anything more.. I'd be afraid it would be far too salty if you added salt
without tasting first. I really don't think it needs anything else. The onion soup mix really gives tons of flavor and saltiness.

I posted the other night to my Twitter about how I had just fallen in love with a Wet n Wild Megalast polish. THIS is that polish. I had avoided any new Wet n Wild nail polishes for quite some time because they seem to chip quickly on me. The many that I had accumulated I pretty much reserve for the designs in nail art now. Don't get me wrong, some are better than others. I just didn't feel
the need to run out and buy any of these. I am now hooked.
This is Wet n Wild's On A Trip. At first glance I thought, "Very pretty but I'm sure I have something similar already." Well, I don't. Not really. I checked my stash and I don't have anything that I could justify calling a dupe. This is a stunning purple with quite a good amount of blue to it. In some lights it pulls out the blue more. I guess you could say it is blurple.
I found this polish to be amazingly easy to work with. For such a cheap polish I'd really have expected some trouble. I got NONE! NO trouble whatsoever. Good job, Wet n Wild! The consistency was thinner than I expected, but not in a "watery" kind of way. I don't know why, but I had just expected to find this polish a bit gloopy. I smoothed onto the nail like butter.
I am wearing two coats in these photos. I found that one coat had some patches that needed to be covered. The second coat took care of that with no problems. The coats dried relatively quickly, too. I thought I remembered reading that these polishes don't dry nicely but I have to disagree on that point. I didn't have any issues with drying time.
The one thing I can think of that may be a drawback for some is the brush. It is one of the flat(ter) style that has a semi rounded tip. I know some absolutely had any paddle style brushes because of the size of their nail beds. I don't find that I have large nail beds, but I prefer these style of brushes over traditional ones. I found the bristles on this brush were soft and flexible, thus allowing it to splay out well. For that reason, it was super easy for me to get my nails coated in just a couple of swipes. I, personally, love the brush. You just need to make sure you check the bottle before buying. I have had a problem in the past with Wet n Wild brushes being wonky and uneven. Just pop open the bottle and check the brush before you check out.

Over the weekend I did some some hauling. These were the items I picked up on one of my stops. It is mostly L'Oreal products, but there is one Rimmel product thrown in, too. Everything fits into the category of lips and eyeshadow, though.
Let's start with the lips. I have become obsessed with the L'oreal Infallible lipsticks... in quite an unhealthy way, lol! I had picked up my first one
weeks and weeks ago and fell head over heels in love with it. It wore very nicely, faded evenly, didn't dry out my lips.. It was just all around amazing. That got me hooked so since then I have been picking up more and more. The color on the left is Forever Frappe. This is a good nude color. The second one is Perpetual Peach, which I have been looking for for a couple of weeks now. Every store I'd stop at, this one was tampered with. It would be swatched, squished, scratched up like someone bit into it (I don't know.. I'm just as confused as you are by this thought), etc. I could NEVER find a new, clean, untampered with tube. I finally found one! I was nearly ready to give up looking for Perpetual Peach. It seems to be one of their most popular colors, thus everyone "tests" it in the store and puts it back. The last lipstick I bought is a Rimmel one. It is in the color Crush. I am in love with this color as it brightens my face and really warms up the look I typically wear (golden neutrals). Once I got out to my car I put this one on right away it is is BEAUTIFUL! I can already say I highly recommend it. It does have some fragrance to it, though, so keep that in mine if you are sensitive to smells in your lip products.
Onto the eyes. I finally decided to pick up some of the new summer release L'Oreal Infallible shadows. I got Gold Imperial and Pink Sapphire. I know I have a zillion and three golden shadows but I love these so much that if there is a color I feel I'll wear with any consistency, then it will eventually find its way home to me. While I don't wear pinky colors on my eyes too often I've heard so many good reviews on Pink Sapphire and how it is perfect for subdued summer looks that I had to get it to try myself. I'm glad I did (tip: make sure you open the lid and check that there is a little plug/stopper in there. I have come across several that did not have them in there, so make sure you look before you buy).
So, that is it for my L'Oreal and one Rimmel cosmetic haul! let me know if you have tried any of these and what your thoughts are on them.

I am sure you all have heard the buzz on the new Revlon lip product. It is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. This is supposed to be an improvement on their (semi flop) Just Bitten Lip Stains. This is supposed to be the combined long lasting power of a stain but not drying your lips out and remaining balm-like on the lips.
There are 12 in the collection but I only picked up 6.
There are a couple more that I want but I got these at Target and they didn't have all of the colors. I really don't understand why they do that. Anyway, I got the 6 that stood out to me and I thought I could pull off.
From left to right: Honey, Cherish, Charm, Rendevous, Romantic, and Adore. I picked up things from reds, to corals, to peach, to mauve, to a lavender pink. So, I'll filled the spectrum pretty well. There is a nude and a hot pink that I want that I haven't come across yet, though. I think they are called Precious and Sweetheart.
I can't give you a review yet as I have only tried one and it wasn't an all day kind of thing. I threw it on in the evening just to see the color on my lips. So, I can't let you know what my feelings are yet. I will, though, once I have had a chance to really give them a good test run.
So far I can tell you that they smell like peppermint and have a semi cooling effect on the lips and are twist up. LOL, so not too much. This isn't a review, though, I'm just sharing this little haul with you.
Have you already heard the hype on these? Do you have any of them already? If so, which colors. What are your thoughts on them.

Over the weekend I decided to redo my nails with Julep Sarah. It was my add-on from my May Julep Maven box but I had some issues getting it delivered to me. It finally arrived on Saturday. I'm glad it finally arrived because it is just as lovely as I had expected it to be and I HAD to get it onto my fingers!
This is going to be a polish, I think, a lot of people are going to say they don't
enjoy because it is sheer and you can see the tips of my nails with two coats. You could build it up more but I didn't want to risk getting it too thick and have it end up peeling off. I actually don't mind it being sheer, either. Something about jelly finish polishes in summer is okay in my book.
Sarah is a sheer jelly finished pinky-coral polish with glitters swirling through it. The glitters definitely show up on the nail too. It is a very spirited nail polish. If you don't mind it being on the sheer side then I highly recommend trying this one out. It just screams warm weather and being by the poolside.
I didn't have any problems with the consistency. It wasn't gloopy, as some glitter polishes can be. It smoothed on with ease and is almost one of those polishes you don't have to be too careful with. It is hard to make this one look sloppy and messy. Something I did want to mention, though, is that even with a thick top coat like Seche Vite you can slightly feel unevenness to the top. It isn't enough to be scratchy or snag on anything but it isn't entirely smooth. If you are okay with 2 coats of top coat that would fix that. I don't mind it because it isn't nearly as bad as some glittery polishes and since it isn't catching on anything, I'm not irritated by it.

For a very long time (or at least felt like a very long time) I had considered buying a tart warmer and some bricks/bars from Scentsy. I can't even begin to tell you how many YouTube videos I had watched reviewing their products. I came SUPER close when I saw someone in my town with the Scentsy Rep sticker on the back of their car. Well, then I heard that Walmart was selling a brand called
ScentSationals. It was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the Scentsy products. Well, when I was recently there I wandered up the candle aisle and sure enough they had the warmers (in their own brand as well as the Better Homes brand). I picked up a warmer and 2 fragrance bars to try out. The bars are SO affordable! They are only $2.00 USD! Come one! That's a fantastic deal!
The first scent I tried was Cupcake. I HAD to have this one. No question. The scent is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! It is so strong, too. When you open the container the sweet smell is everywhere! Their site describes the smell as "Fun, tempting, yet calorie-free, this delightful scent smells just like a white cupcake topped with rich buttercream frosting!" Yup, I agree. It is pretty much a mouth watering scent. A long time ago my grandmother had a candle in her home that the moment you walked in you'd smell it, even if it wasn't burning. It was a very sweet, cupcake kind of smell.
I had hunted for so long trying to find the candle or something similar. I never was able to find anything that put off such a strong, sweet smell...not until I came across the cupcake ScentSational wax.
On their site they say if you were to burn a single cube for 2-3 hours in the morning and then again 2-3 hours in the evening, that single cube will last 2-3 days. I agree...sort of. I found that the strongest of the fragrance will last 2-3 days but you'll still have fragrance coming from it even after that 3 day mark. The cupcake scent ended up smelling sort of like an underlying cherry smell at the tail end. It wasn't bad at all, but it was like the scent changed on its own. I'm thinking it is just the bottom notes that are left after the initial ones burn away. On day 3 I just tossed in a fresh cube and immediately the fantastic cupcake smell was back. I also will note that I kept my warmer running far longer than 2-3 hours twice per day. I would venture to say that a couple of the days I had it running 6-8 hours continuously. I wanted to mention that because I think the scent lasts longer than they estimate.
The burner itself comes in multiple styles. I chose a cream colored on with fleur de lis around it. It matches nicely in my home decor, but there is pretty much something to suit everyone. They also have wall plug ins...kind of like a night light style. I want to get one of those for some of the rooms in my home upstairs. The large warmer is perfect for my downstairs, though, and the fragrance fills the entirety of my first floor. I was very impressed with that.
None of their warmers use actual flame. They are plugged into the wall and a lightbulb inside, under the plate, warms up the plate, which melts down the wax cubes. They don't get too hot, either. You don't have to worry about burning yourself or a little one burning their hands on them. It is a much safer alternative to candles (plus, I feel the scent it puts out spreads further and stronger than a candle can).
They have a TON of different scents and they're so affordable. I'm going to be picking up quite a few more. Even though they have many different scents, one of the fun things you can do with them is MIX YOUR OWN! YEAH! You can take one cube from a couple or few different packs and combine them to make your own, personalized scent! I'm going to be doing that, too.
From my raving, I think you can tell that I highly recommend their wax cubes. If you already have a tart warmer, you're already ahead! Just go out and pick one up to try for yourself. It'll only put you out two dollars.

This weekend I picked up three nail polishes from the drugstore... all very, very affordable. Two of them are Wet n Wild and one is Sally Hansen.
I had seen Mica post about the pink shade. It is in the color Sugar Coat. It looked very similar to one of my new favorites from Julep in Penelope. I thought if this could potentially be a dupe but at a cheaper price then heck yeah... I was
going to try it. I'm curious to find out if it really is, though. Either way, it is a beautiful color. Very, very soft and feminine.
The next Wet n Wild is a very popular one. It is On A Trip. I think along with the mint shade, this one is one of their better sellers. I see it so often and it always looks beautiful. I decided I needed it in my collection, too.
The last polish is one of the most hyped up polishes from Sally Hansen. Understandably, though. It is Pacific Blue. I have to admit, it is quite unique. I have been wanting to get Julep Taylor, but again.. don't want to spend the full amount. I was going to get it on a discount last week when they ran a code for it, but by the time I got around to it the code expired. It was just a 24 hour thing. I watched a video where someone said this was a good dupe for it... nearly spot on. So, when I saw it VERY well stocked at the store, I bought it. For a color that people say they can't find easily, this was the most full on the Sally Hansen display. I was surprised. I was tempted to get more and give them away to those who couldn't find them.
Anyway, those are my 3 drugstore polishes... all very, very affordable and, in my opinion, beautiful!

These are a few products I picked up this weekend that I needed to replenish. I'm running low and hate to be completely without certain products so I try to make sure I have another bottle or something to replace it with on stand by.
The first item, don't laugh, is a children's detangler. Yes... a children's product. But I swear it works perfectly in my hair, smells good, and can be picked
up for far cheaper than other "adult" brands. My hair isn't too difficult, so maybe that is why I can still get by using it at nearly 26 years of age, lol. I have thin, fine hair that only has a touch of wave here and there. So, with this being so light (since it is intended for youngin's hair) it doesn't weigh down my hair yet loosens up knots that form in the shower.
The next product is Neutrogena Pink Grapfruit Foaming Scrub. I haven't used this one for a long time but when I had it previously I did like it. I didn't really NEED this one yet but I saw it on sale so I grabbed it. Right now I'm using the Neutrogena Naturals one and still have about 3/4 of the bottle left.
Next is the Simple brand light moisturizer. I have been using the Burt's Bees sensitive skin one, which I love, but it is pricey and whiel I don't mind paying that price... I thought I'd try something else just to see what I thought of it. If I couldn't find something I thought worked just as well, then I'd go back to the Burt's Bees. This was only a few bucks cheaper but it has more product in it.
The last thing I bought was a 3-pack of the moisturizing ChapStick. This one I like the most because it is moisturizing and has a good amount of SPF in it. I ALWAYS have these in the house. I keep them in my makeup area, my purse, my nightstand.... pretty much anywhere you can think, I have one there.
Let me know if you use any of these products and what your thoughts are on them!
