Marshalls Haul: Frederic Fekkai

Hey everyone! My camera broke so I haven't been taking pictures since all the other camera qualities I have are pretty rubbish. I have a bunch of pictures that I took before but never got a chance to blog about and share. My favorite all-time brand for haircare products is Frederic Fekkai, more specifically, his entire "Glossing" line. I have used this products for years, ever since middle school and I have continued to use them up to this day. When I went into Marshalls, I literally jumped for joy when I saw that they were selling the Frederic Fekkai Glossing Shampoo for $12.99 each! This is a STEAL because the 8 oz alone for the shampoo ranges in price from $20-25! I would assume that the conditioner matches the price of the shampoo as well. Literally when I saw these, I grabbed ALL the shampoos they had! I didn't see any of the matching conditioner from this line but if I did, I would have gotten them all as well! Have any of you guys tried this shampoo yet? I'll definitely do a review on the shampoo and conditioner from this line... It's seriously my favorite shampoo and conditioner!

Review: Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

One of the products that I have used again over and over the years are the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. These pore strips are meant to unclog your pores by removing dirt and blackheads. PRICING: In my opinion, these pore strips are some of the most expensive items that you will purchase if you use them quite often. They are available in 8 packs, 14 packs, and 24 packs (which have combination strips for the nose + face). The pricing will vary depending on which variety you purchase and where you purchase it at but typically, you can find each of these box ranging from $7-13 They can also be purchased at a wide variety of places: Ulta, Walmart, Target, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, etc. PACKAGING: Biore recently changed up their packaging for all of their new products. Any product that are in the "Deep Cleansing" line are white and blue; products that are "Complexion Clearing" has white and orange packaging; products that are "Makeup Removing" are white and pink. Other than the exterior packaging, the product itself remains the same - a nose strips that conforms pretty well to the curves and contours of your nose. DIRECTIONS: 1. Remove strips from pouch. Twist strip to loosen and separate slits prior to use 2. After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose. The strip won't stick on a dry nose. 3. Dry hands. Peel strip off plastic liner. Apply to nose area, smooth side down, pressing down to ensure good contact with skin 4. Let dry for about 10-15 minutes until stiff to the touch - like papier-mache 5. Slowly and carefully peel off starting at edges, pulling toward center REVIEW: I like to use these pore strips once every 2 weeks or just whenever I notice that there is a lot of blackheads building up around my nose area. The application process is fairly simple if you follow the directions. Once the strip really hardens up like papier-mache, you know that it's time to take it off. Honestly, the removal process HURTS. I always get teary... haha. Do these pore strips work? If you look at the pictures that I took (sorry if it grosses you out), you can see that the strip pulled out some dirt, grime & blackheads. Honestly, when I use these strips, sometimes I am disappointed at the results because not a lot of gunk gets pulled out at times. I'm still on the search for a product that can REALLY get a lot of my blackheads out and that perhaps hurt a bit less, but for now, these Biore Pore Strips will have to do. OVERALL, I rate the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips: B I think that these are expensive and they do tend to get used up pretty quickly as well. They're not THE BEST at removing dirt and blackheads, but they are the only thing that I have found to work effectively so I will continue to repurchase... Until I find a better alternative.

Review: Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream

The product I am reviewing is the Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream. PRODUCT CLAIMS: "Meet mornings head on and with that beautiful face! Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream softens, smoothes, and firms your skin, leaving you with a healthy nourishing glow that radiates through the day. It's morning moisturizer for day long nourishment that will keep the gorgeous glow on your face!" Targeted For: Normal to Dry Skin PRICING: This product retails for $14.99 but price will vary depending on where you purchased it at and sales. You can find this brand sold at: Target, Walmart, Ulta, CVS, Walgreens, etc. PACKAGING: It is in a tub container with a twist off lid. Packaging is very simple - just a white container yet with an eye-catching white/orange sticker around the container with the product description. I wish that the packaging might be somewhat different because I find it very unsanitary and inconvenient to dip your fingers in the tub every time to get product out... I find that some gets stuck under my nails. It's not really an issue for me at the moment though since my nails are short. REVIEW: This is a moisturizer that I really like. I can tell that it hydrates my skin and the consistency of it is very appropriate for daytime wear. It isn't too thick/greasy yet not too thin and runny either. There isn't much of a distinct fragrance to this, but to me, it does smell like baby powder. When my skin isn't overly dry because of my acne treatments, this gives me an awesome moisturized feel to my face. I find that it also helps my makeup go on a lot more smoothly and less patchy too. The only thing about it is that this moisturizer is expensive for a "drug-store" product but I find that it works well for my skin. I am willing to pay more for skincare products anyhow. OVERALL, I give the Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream an: A It's a really good moisturizer for everyday wear in the morning. I already finished this product and do plan on repurchasing, just not at the moment since I have a crazy amount of moisturizers to go through. My First Julep Maven Box... For A Penny! :)

Recently, Julep Maven had another great promotion where you could purchase your first Julep Maven box for only one penny! I know they had that promotion not too shortly before as well, but I missed it that time so I was really stoke to get it this time! I even told my sister about it and she got a box too :) I took my Style Quiz, and I originally got Bombshell and American Beauty, but I decided to switch to another one because I preferred the other shades more. The box that I switched to is the "Boho Glam" box and it includes: - "Heather": Chic platinum greige with a metallic glow - "Blake": Sunny butter yellow creme Also included in my introductory box is the: - Age Defying Hand Brightener: (3 fl. oz). I sort of wished that I received the Glycolic Hand Scrub that they had when Julep first launched! Quick mention... The packaging for the polishes are really cute, and sturdy as well! I dropped it on the floor on accident and my room has tiles but fortunately, nothing broke!

Mylinh's FIRST Ever LUSH Haul!

I think as soon as LUSH announced their opening location in San Diego, I was probably one of the first people to find out about it because I have been waiting for a LUSH to open here for a really long time! I have never actually purchased anything from a LUSH store, just through online orders. Before, the closest LUSH to me was probably the one in Santa Monica. Anyway, LUSH has been opened for a few weeks now at Fashion Valley, but January 21 was actually their Grand Opening event - so I made sure that I went! It started at one and I arrived a bit late, but there was already a HUGE line! The wait took a little bit more than an hour before I was able to finally inside the store. They only let a few people enter at once just so it doesn't get overly crowded in the store. The employees were also nice enough to pass out some really great chocolates! Everyone who was at the mall that day stopped and stared and wondered what the line was for... LUSH! Duh :p You had to RSVP in advance, and if you were one of the first 100 people, they gave you a "B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful" Shower Gel. I wish my friends came with me so they could have received one too, but I went to the mall alone haha. As a part of their Grand Opening event, if you made a purchase over $65, you received a VIP bag filled with goodies! I'll mention the items in the bag later, but I knew that LUSH HARDLY EVER has promotions so I HAD to take advantage!!! Here are the items that I purchased: 1) Breath Of Fresh Air Toner (8.4 fl oz): I originally wanted to get the Tea Tree Water Toner but they were out! I think I might go back and exchange for the Tea Tree Water Toner once they have it back in stock. Price: $19.95 2) Herbalism (0.22 lbs): I was deciding between this and Dark Angels and was a bit weary that Dark Angels might be too rough for my skin at the moment. Price: $11.44 3) Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub (8.8 oz): This was the first and only other product that I tried from LUSH and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I finished it a few months ago too so I needed another one. I got the big tub last time as well, it's a slightly better deal if you know you will love this product. Retails: $8.19 Purchased on Vitacost: $5.99 5) Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (32 oz): I purchased this because you are supposed to use Apple Cider Vinegar to create a paste with the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay.
