This is a photo of my cat Tigger sleeping under my duvet (yes I have donald duck PJ's on and a pokemon duvet cover, allow me) and I love him dearly. I raised him from when he was a baby in his mother's tummy, cutting his umbilical cord when he was born - until now and forever. So as you can see I am deeply attached!
It's not just the bond we share that makes me a cat lover, I think its their
nature - the way they are free spirited, always exploring, constantly curious and very opinionated! but it is also their form, shocking green, amber or blue eyes, slender body, soft fur and alluring cat-walk. They are extremely mysterious creatures yet can get very close to an owner, their bi-polar nature makes them surprisingly unpredictable, a trait I love!
Are you a cat lover? If so/not, tell me why you are..

This article is written by Louise Atkinson and i found it especially interesting as it is a breakthrough in the world of dieting.
When dieting, Carbs are the last food group you would think of consuming, however, research has shown that not all carbs are bad..
Some contain a substance called resistant starch which, when consumed in quantity, actively encourages weight loss.
these are found
in everyday foods - such as oats, beans and potatoes, green bananas being most effective because If you eat one slightly green banana a day, you get a guaranteed 12.5g of resistant starch to help you lose weight without feeling hungry!
Research at the University of Surrey found that consuming resistant starch in one meal caused participants to consume 10% fewer calories (about 150 to 200 calories for the average woman) during the next day because they felt less hungry. Results also seem to indicate that adding a little resistant starch to your breakfast is enough to shift your body into fat-burning mode, enabling you to burn nearly 25% more calories per day.
These statistics are definitely food for thought!
The best carbs to consume are: bananas, beans, potatoes, polenta, brown rice and barley
This new dietary breakthrough means that you don't have to starve yourself of the things you need, which means you will be less likely to binge or crave.
