So this past week an episode of Kitchen Nightmares featured a Restaurant called Amy's Baking Company (ABC) sounds like a sweet little bakery right?
Well after the owners started receiving bad reviews on sites like Yelp they decided it was all a big conspiracy and everyone was out to get them. As a last result they called in Gordon Ramsey and his Kitchen Nightmare's team to find the real
problem and fix the business (or the customers).
Gordon began his journey averagely meeting the owners and investigating the kitchen. He was shocked to find a perfectly cleaned and organized kitchen contrary to the kitchen nightmares he usually finds.
As he sat down to enjoy a meal from the Chef Amy, he found the only appetizing thing was the dessert.
Amy couldn't handle the news and called Gordon a liar and Amy's husband refused to tell Amy allthe customer complaints.
Amy even went as far as to fire one of her waitresses at the end of the night for "having an attitude". That's not all Gordon discovered that the owners keep all the waitresses tips! The owners claimed that the waitresses didn't do the real work and were to lazy to deserve them.
Chef Ramsey made Hells Kitchen history and walked away from the restaurant without finishing his fixing mission.
That's all dandy I'm sure the episode was great for ratings! But what makes this story even more interesting?
After the episode aired the Amy's Baking Company facebook page BLEW UP! Not only with comments on the restaurant, but from the owners.
Amy and Samy both lit up their facebook feed firing comments about people on Yelp, Reddit and facebook accusing them of lying and being terrible people. A comment was also made that God was on their side, and the charges would be pressed against the nay sayers who were "Bullying" them.
After a few hours of attacking social media the owners claimed they had been hacked and were pursuing their hackers and pressing charges.
What really happened? Who know's? But all the slam posts have been deleted from the facebook page, but you can read them here

On the 26th of February I went on a field trip with my baby sister to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan.
The Henry Ford Museum is located on the same property as the Dearborn Ford plant the Ford Headquarters building and next to the Greenfield Village.
I was a little disappointed because we were a day late for the Lego Land exhibit. Which featured famous buildings made from
lego's.
The Henry Ford Museum features a bunch of great famous exhibits! Including the chair Lincoln was assassinated in, the Rosa Parks bus, and the Weinermobile.
There is also a large display of locomotives from old models to newer editions.
My favorite part of the museum was the planes. They have tons of different types of planes. They even have a paper airplane station where they teach you how to make paper airplanes and then a testing station to see how far your plane can really travel.
My sister was able to participate in a kid version of an assembly line making small toy trucks.
The Museum is really great because kids can learn hands on and really care about what they're seeing and doing.
We got lucky the day we went my sisters school was the only one booked for the day so we basically had free range of the museum!
Within the museum they also offer 3 different locations to grab lunch, two are located on the museum floor and the other is located just outside the red rope entry (no worries you can get back in).
1. The Weinermobile Cafe: this little cafe is located in the western corner of the museum floor next to the Weinermobile. They feature things like Hot Dogs or chili dogs with chips.
2. Lamy's Diner: Which is located in the center of the Museum floor. It's in a refurbished 1950's train car styled Diner. They offer Coffee, Soup and a whole menu of other Diner styled offerings.
3. Michigan Cafe (where I had Lunch): This is located at the East entry of the building and has a changing menu. It's set up like a mini cafeteria and is prided that ALL the food products they offer are grown and processed in Michigan. I had a Burger and homemade chips and they were excellent. They even offer a selection of Michigan made Icecreams! The orange sherbet is heavenly!
And Surprisingly the museum food isn't overpriced at all. The restaurants all offer a reasonably priced menu, unlike the souvinear shops.
The admission into the museum is also pretty cheap it cost $17.00 for a day adult ticket and kids tickets are even cheaper!
If you're ever in the Dearborn area and have some extra time this is definitely a well spent afternoon!

Have you been to this museum?
What is your favorite museum?
Pictures
1. The first photo is of the center entry hallway, the airplane at the end is suspended in the air. The halls of the museum are just as beautiful and hold just as much history as the museum floor itself.
2. This is a photo of a GIANT model train set. There were 4 or 5 running trains on it one featuring a camera that filmed wherever it was going. I took this picture inside the engine in photo 3.
3. My baby sister in front of a locomotive engine! This was monumental and we were able to go inside of it!
4. This is an old race car sponsered by Rislone which is a company I have worked for frequently and one my father works for!
I've always loved the style that the clothes on Mod Clot have, but not necessarily their price.
Luckily I received a $15 off $50 purchase so I used that as the opportunity to make my first purchase!
I bought a dress and a pair of earrings!
The dress I purchased was the Wish Upon Avon Dress
It is a deep blue sleeved dress that has a square cut out detail on the back.
The Dress cost was
$47.99
The Earrings I purchased were little gold colored bows.
The Earrings cost $9.99
My total before shipping and my coupon was $57.98
Shipping was $4.00
Subtracting my $15.00 coupon
I only spent $46.98 less than the total of the dress!
I love my dress it's really soft and flowing and has nice sweet style to it!
Not only was I happy with my savings but I liked the way Modcloth shipped their products. Everything was packaged neatly into a small custom box. It's a pet peeve of mine when companies try to fit everything you order into a large envelope and things end up ripped or damaged so i like knowing that I can trust modcloth to appropriately package my purchases.

Around the beginning of February I went into one of the local salons and got my hair dyed professionally. I've had high lights and all that done professionally, but this is the first time I've ever had my whole head done.
Honestly I'm not impressed.
The lady dying my hair was really kind and the instant results were great, but the dye she used didn't come out the color I wanted. I was hoping
for a more orangey natural red shade and this has a rich deep red tone. I think she may have mistakenly used the wrong dye.
Plus the color is STILL washing out of my hair. It's been over a month since I've had my hair dyed and it's still bleeding. When I dye my own hair i've never had the leaking color last longer than 3 washes.
It cost me $60.00 +tip to have my hair dyed and I'm not impressed. I think it was over priced and the color is now dingy and dull and faded a lot.
I am definitely going to stick to doing my hair myself from now on, hopefully next time I can get the coppery color I desire.

The first picture is the dye on my hair.
The second picture is how my hair looked in the sunshine.

Scallops are one of my favorite things to order in restaurants! But I hate having to go to a restaurant for one of my favorite things to eat, so I thought I would learn to make them myself.
Sadly scallops can be quite expensive they run $9.99 per LB at my local grocery store and that is a little to high for my college budget so I bought a huge bag of frozen scallops at Sams for $25.99. I was
nervous paying so much for a frozen product, but i decided it was worth the risk.
The scallops only took a couple hours before they were thawed out, and I took the proper measures of drying them off with a paper towel before seasoning them.
I heated up about a quart of a cup of olive oil in a pan until it was near screaming! Seasoned my scallops with salt and pepper and tossed them in the pan hoping for the best.
They only took about 3 minutes on each side, until they had a nice golden brown color.
I took them out of the pan and cut one in half just to make sure it was cooked through, and they were perfect!
Excited I took a bite of my scallops and they were wonderful! They were fluffy and buttery and flakey and had the right texture! I could hardly tell they had been frozen!
I was really happy with the results and I can't wait to learn more scallop centered dishes!
I'll let y'all know what I come up with!

Have you tried Scallops? What did you think?
Disney has done it again!
Oz the Great and Powerful is the perfect movie to take your kids to see on a boring Sunday afternoon.
It stars Wicked Witches from West to East with a few slimy characters in between. This movie begins in Kansas, but don't be fooled, this is no prequal to the Wizard of Oz film, this movie is based on the book series and there are more movies to come!
The movies
centers around Oscar a circus magician or self claimed con man who makes his way to Oz in a hot air balloon after making the move on the wrong girl.
He makes his way to the emerald city where the witches aren't as ugly as you'd think and all that glitters is not good.
Oz heads on a life changing adventure where he meets, flying monkeys, china dolls, good witches, tinkers and other characters you will and won't expect.
The scenery in the movie is stunning! This is a 3D movie that is worth the extra couple dollars. I don't recommend seeing it in IMAX if you get motion sick at all. I seen the movie in 3D and that alone made me a little dizzy in some parts.
As your watching the film try and take a moment to marvel at the tiny tiny details in the scenery because there is so much work that has gone into it, and it's truly flawless and beautiful!
The film scoring was flawless!
The only thing that i was thrown off about in this movie, and it's not bad, but was the comedy. I was expecting a darker more serious toned movie and it really isn't at all.
There's a heavy emphasis on humor, it'a light and funny and doesn't leave you feeling down it does however end on a question of sorts.
What will happen next in the land of Oz? Only time can tell.
Oh my absolute favorite part of the movie is at the very end of the credits, the Pure Michigan logo moves up the screen. The movie was filmed and created in Pontiac MI, my birth city, which I am very proud of!

Have you, or do you plan on seeing this movie?
Mak i'm coming back!
So I've decided that it's time for me to make my way back towards the big apple! This time it's less for fun and more for work, well that is still fun to me! I've decided that I'm going to head to Long Island for the X Factor Auditions!
The Audition dates are April 23rd and can last up to 3-4 days, so I am hoping to stay for about a week. I recently applied for a job, so
that will depend how long I actually stay or not!
I last visited New York City in august of 2011 and Stephen was kind enough to take a day from work to show me around his stomping grounds! He was even gracious enough to buy me lunch, hopefully this time I can return the favor!

I received my Julep Maven last week and I was really happy with what i received this month! I was also surprised to find 2 extra polishes, an eyelash curler and some chocolates!
I received 2 colored polishes and 2 extra polishes!
Color Polish
Claudette: Is a red polish inspired by Academy Award winner (1934) Claudette Colbert. I really like this color. It's my favorite of the two
polishes. It is a deep bright red polish that has a slightly pink tinted undertone! Definitely a color worthy of Hollywood Glam!
Helen: A lilac meets bubble gum shade. It is a soft creamy polish inspired by actress Helen Hunt. The shade is lovely but it doesn't go well with my skin tone it makes me look sick.
Extra Polishes
Freedom Polymer Top Coat: Warning on this one, the smell is STRONG! It is supposed to help your manicure last longer than a tradition top coat. The polymer blends creates a special seal that is formed under natural light! Which explains the blacked out bottle. It does give nails a lovely shine and i'm a sucker for a free top coat so i love it already!
Oxygen Nail Treatment: This is a color and a nail treatment in one. The formula is supposed to make nails thicker, stronger and smoother! I can vouch for this! I applied it a few days ago and my nails haven't cracked or broken yet! I put it on underneath the Claudette and my nails feel really strong!
Eyelash Curler: It came in a really cute tulle bag, it's made to be portable and it also came with little instructions. The only thing that makes me nervous about this is you have to get it really close to your eye to make sure it curls your lashes and it isn't the most comfortable thing, but it does the job!
It also came with two little milk chocolate heart candies for valentines day of course! I don't eat candy so i gave them to my sisters, but they enjoyed it!
So the value of my box!
I paid $19.99 for my February Julep classic With a Twist box
The products I received are worth:
Claudette: $14.00
Helen: $14.00
Freedom: $18.00
Oxygen: $18.00
Eyelash Curler: Unknown
For a total of $64.00
I saved $44.00
That's not a bad deal at all!
A bonus i actually enjoy the polishes this month for the most part! I might part with my Helen though.

So this was the Buried Bauble a while back, and it was the first time i placed an order through the site BaubleBar.com
I had seen a few other people ordering there jewelry and I thought what the heck i'll give it a shot!
I had signed up for the bauble alerts and it took a good month before I seen a piece i really liked!
This is called the Equator pendent necklace and it was $10!
Not only was
it $10 but shipping was free and there was NO tax so it was literally only $10!!!!
I love this pendent and plan on buying more jewelry from the bauble bar in the future.
The Bauble Bar also has a rewards system. For every $1 you spend you earn 1 point, and it takes 10 points to equal $1. Which isn't a bad system and will add up fast!
I recommend at least signing up to get the Buried Bauble alerts, they offer necklaces, bracelets even earrings!
