Did you wear green for St. Patrick's Day? I did...on my nails =D I had a hard time trying to figure out what color green I wanted to wear, so then I decided to just do ombre nails. This is my first attempt at ombre nails and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. The transition from light to dark needs to be improved but I received a lot of compliments about it.
The polishes I used are all of creme finish. If you are going to do ombre nails I think it's best to stick to one finish. I personally think sticking to one finish helps the transition and not one nail stick out from the other.
I used three different polishes...From Left to Right:
China Glaze "Re-Fresh Mint": Light pastel green
Sinful Colors "Olympus": Sea foam green; green grape
Sinful Colors "Envy": Jade green
>> As well as Sally Hansen's Hard as Nail Base Coat and INM Out the Door Top Coat
On my nails:
Thumb: 2 Coats CG Re-Fresh Mint
Pointer: 2 Coats of SC Olympus
Middle: 2 Coats of a Mixture of SC Olympus (3 drops) and Envy (2 drops)
Ring: 2 Coats of a Mixture of SC Olympus (2 drops) and Envy (3 drops) ~ I should have mixed in one more drop
Pinky: 2 Coats of SC Envy
The ombre trend was really big last spring. From what I see this spring nail trend is a lot of half moon and cloud manis. I personally like the ombre mani a lot more and will definitely try it again, maybe an orange ombre.

All the colors you used are so pretty! I haven't tried doing ombre mani but considering the amount of nail polishes I have, that would be a nice way to use make use of them, hehe.
