This has been my favorite product of the summer…well at least the end of summer when I got it! This is the Revlon Photoready perfecting Primer in 001. I’ve never been a believer in face primer before because all the ones I’ve tried in the past have just been awful or it just didn’t do anything for my face and makeup. Who knew it just took the $13 drugstore primer to fall in love!
Anyways, I ended up purchasing this because Michele1213 from you tube raved about it and I usually agree with all the products she raves about so I had to give this a try and lo and behold it’s been amazing.
It’s about $13 and I know that’s on the higher price range for a “drugstore” product but Revlon always has sales at drugstores so I’m sure you can find it for less but honestly it’s so worth the $13 if it wasn’t on sale.
It comes in a glass bottle with a pump and I love how it has a pump! The bottle is exactly like the Revlon Photoready foundation bottles. This particular one shade 001 is transparent but I know they have another shade that’s pink I believe that is for color correcting. This primer is different then all the other primers that I’ve tried before because this one was more of a cream consistency and not a gel like consistency like others out there. Another thing about this is when you apply it to your face you only need a little, about half a pump for your whole face and you’re good to go. When you apply to your skin you’ll notice that it isn’t silicone based like most primers. You don’t get that matte powdery feeling, instead this is more of a cream primer that feels moisturizing and hydrating on the skin and leaves the skin feeling velvety which makes a great smooth canvas for makeup.
As for my skin personally I do have some large pores and with this primer it just makes my skin look great. My makeup not only lasts all day but it still looks good from the moment I put it on in the morning until the end of the day when I’m about to remove my makeup and go to bed. I think I mentioned this in my August favorites when I featured this product but even when I was I Hawaii I wore this under my makeup one day sight seeing which ended up being a mini hike/nature day and even with the heat, wind and humidity my makeup lasted all day long no lie! It’s just a really great product and any event lately where I was wearing makeup all day I’ve been using this and it’s never failed me one bit!
Have any of you tried this primer?
