Heres my nails of the week. I first painted my nails with the base polish which was that champagne shimmer color. Since it looked plain and dull as a nude color, I decided to use my nail art stamping plate to add some interest to my nails. Heres what I did:
1. BASE: Rimmel polish in '260 Gold Silk' - champagne/gold shimmer, 3 coats
2. DESIGN Polish: OPI polish in 'Lincoln Park After Dark' - a very dark purple (looks almost black)
3. ART PLATE: plate #m78, its a mix of cheetah print with a little bit of tiger/zebra stripes on the sides. You can find this plate at the source link for $1.55 each plate.
To achieve the design you basically put OPI polish on the plate, scrape the excess polish off with a special scraper. Then use a special rubber stamper and roll it over the design. The polish that was in the design crevice will transfer onto the stamper... then you simply roll it over each nail. Hopefully it didnt sound to complicated. Its actually really easy to do once you get the hang of it. Anyways, what a big difference a design can do to your nails. Definitely looks so much more fun than just the base color alone.
