Ahoy! As we all know, the nautical look is always trendy around the summer time. Inspired, I hopped on the bandwagon...or the band-sailboat and put my twist on it. Instead of the traditional white, navy, and red color scheme that is associated with this sailor-friendly trend, I decided to use teal and pink and stayed true to the nautical look by integrating stripes. The heart (drawn with a toothpick) adds a sweet touch and, in my opinion, really ties the colors together.
I used Go Overboard by Essie (very fitting for this post), Elephantastic Pink by OPI (my all time FAVORITE pink), Kiss Nail Artist Paint in white, and a Sally Hansen top coat. I just got the Essie nail polish yesterday, and we became fast friends! The color may come across navy in pictures, but in person it is a deep teal that is absolutely beautiful. In direct sunlight, the green undertones become more evident and the color comes alive. To me, this formula is perfection. (that's only one coat!)
Which nail trends are you loving or have tried? I'm crazy about ombre nails right now and I think I'm going to try it next! xoxo
P.S. These pictures were taken by yours truly :)

so cute!!
those are cute! (:
Miss Ella: lol stripes are hard to master! what I do is hold the brush in one place, and just rotate my nail straight across the brush. it's alot easier than trying to freehand a straight line
gostava mais de ver todas às riscas
