this is a long overdue review for one of my favorite - if not my absolute favorite - foundation. i purchased this foundation several months ago after reading a lot of reviews. quite honestly my hope was that this would be a dupe of the NARS sheer glow foundation, which i've tried several times and adore but cannot justify its ridiculously high price.
i'm so glad i decided to go for it and try this foundation! i read this nightmare review on makeup alley that talked about how this foundation would make my pores permanently enlarged and my skin would burn and it would just completely destroy my face. i haven't read that review in a while but i remember the first time i read it, that's what really freaked me out and kept me from getting this foundation.
i went to the department store a few times and kept feeling tempted to get NARS sheer glow. the makeup artist at the counter would always offer to put it on me and i would always say yes and stare at my face and think "DAMN, i need to buy this now." $42 though?! i did seriously think about just going for it several times, but ultimately i decided not to and instead go for the foundation that everyone says is a dupe.
i like this foundation for several reasons. it has SPF, which protects my face during the day. it has the perfect amount of coverage for me, though i don't have blemishes that i want this foundation to cover (that's concealer's job!), only some redness on my cheeks and chin. it lasts on my face for most of the day and when it fades, it doesn't fade in patches or unevenly; i have dry combination skin though so this may not work for everyone. it doesn't look cakey at all and it gives my skin the same naturally flawless look as NARS sheer glow at a fraction of the price. really, it's the way my skin looks that made me fall in love with sheer glow, and this can do the same for so much less!!
the only thing i don't like about this foundation is its lack of a pump, but really i'm used to it in drugstore foundations by now.
i was a little worried this would break me out but it hasn't at all.
i love this foundation and i would highly recommend it, especially to those who are seeking the same things i seek in a foundation: natural finish, medium coverage, perfect for dry combination skin.

I've read where quite a few people like it but I hate the packaging. I'm a sucker for those stuff whilst it doesn't have to be extremely fancy considering it's a drugstore foundation but I just wished it looked better. It'd tempt me to buy it more lol

I haven't tried this but I have heard good reviews on it. I never read any reviews about how it could burn your face and enlargen pores but that definitely sounds scary.
