Is the UV light that comes from a nail drying machine bad for skin?
Any exposure to ultraviolet light ups your risk for a burn as well as skin cancer, though in this case, it is very minimal. The machines can, however, age the skin on your hands. Using a fan is much better for you.

I usually do not do my nails but now when I do I am not going to put my hands under that
hey everyone, im a nail tech. these lights are ok for you. unless you tan, or use one daily you will not have any damage. i am exposed to the light a lot i do uv gel enhancement and gel polish both of which need a uv light plus i used to get my nails done since jr high. i have small kid like hands and im 21! so the lights are not as bad as some would like you to think!
wow scary to think about
yikes. i've only used that thing like once or twice in my life... i usually do use a fan.
i've always wondered that. whenever i get my nails done i'm afraid to keep my hands in their for a long time
