Health & Beauty » Nail Drying UV Light Bad for Skin?

Is the UV light that comes from a nail drying machine bad for skin?

Any exposure to ultraviolet light ups your risk for a burn as well as skin cancer, though in this case, it is very minimal. The machines can, however, age the skin on your hands. Using a fan is much better for you.

hey everyone, im a nail tech. these lights are ok for you. unless you tan, or use one daily you will not have any damage. i am exposed to the light a lot i do uv gel enhancement and gel polish both of which need a uv light plus i used to get my nails done since jr high. i have small kid like hands and im 21! so the lights are not as bad as some would like you to think!
