It has been months since I did a last favorites post so I thought I would get back in the game with my August favorites. My skin has been the biggest jerk to me lately, so I've try to use as few products as possible to prevent any unnecessary reactions. These are the 4 products that I've used regularly throughout August as well as throughout the summer.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
I've been using this mask twice a week and it has done wonders to my skin. You mix 1 part of the powder with 1 part apple cider vinegar or water and layer it on your skin. You can feel the mask pulsing and after you rinse of the your skin is noticeably softer and looks a lot cleaner. Here is my original review of the product.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
Since my skin has been so prone to breakouts I've been trying to find a foundation that will cover up the redness without making it worse. Tarte's Amazonian Clay foundation has done exactly that. With a very small amount, I get a nice medium coverage without it looking cakey. Plus it lasts the whole day which is always a good thing in my opinion and it's SPF 15.
The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion
This has been my go to moisturizer for the last year. It helps keep my normally oily skin at bay and smells amazing. It also does a great job as moisturizing my skin and keeping it nice and soft. It also has a SPF of 15 so it acts as a nice temporary sunblock. That's definitely a must have for me since I live in So. Cal where it's sunny a majority of the time.
Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Peeling Gel
This is the best "scrub" that I have ever used. Unlike regular scrubs, this doesn't have the scrubbing beads in it. Instead it's more like a cream that you rub all over your skin and it starts to pill up the dead skin. It's kind of gross but leaves your skin amazingly soft. It smalls absolutely delicious too!
