Hello lovely Luuuxers! So I'm sure most of you have heard by now of NYX jumbo eye pencils. They can be found at ULTA, cherryculture.com, or nyxcosmetics.com, come in a variety of shades and finishes, and are very affordable! I bought mine while they were on sale at Ulta and they are more than worth the money I spent on them!
I've been using these shades a lot lately so I thought I'd do a quick review and swatch em up for you! These pencils glide on to your lids very smoothly with no tugging, and the pigmentation is awesome, as you can see in the swatches. I did not have to layer them much at all to get the color that you see. I usually wear them on top of UDPP or by themselves as bases for other shadows, and they do not crease if I wear them in those two ways. I've worn them by themselves without putting a powder shadow on top, and they do crease a little bit, but it isn't crazy. I do have dry lids though, so keep that in mind. Oily lids might have more a creasing problem. However, I'm certain that used with UDPP or layer with powders, they will not budge for anyone!
The best part of these eye pencils, especially these three shades, is that they correspond so well with many popular neutral shades. The only neutral palette I own is the Too Faced Natural Eye palette, and these colors go SO WELL with that palette that I will not use one without the other now! I'm sure these would also complement the Naked/Naked 2 palettes and make the shadows more vibrant.
Sparkle Nude is a light golden/champagne shade with some glitter in it. The reason I love this the most is that I can get the glitter fix that I sometimes want without the annoying fallout! Iced Mocha is a taupey/brown that has a bit of a silvery sheen, and I love it for those days when I don't feel like doing an entire eye look but still want to smoke out my liner a little bit. Finally, yogurt is a beautiful light pink/champagne color that reminds me a lot of RSVP by Benefit. I love using this in my inner corner as a highlight as well as all across the lid underneath Too Faced Silk Teddy.
Hope this review and the swatches were helpful to you all! I LOVE these pencils and recommend them to everyone, especially considering how cheap they are! I can't wait to expand my jumbo eye pencil collection to include some of the brighter colors!
Talk to you all soon!
