Luuux

I have really straight lashes that are moderately long and thick that just won't hold a curl. So annoying!
I asked a lovely lady at the mac counter for a mascara that will hold a curl the best and she recommended "Mascara X" and said it adds definition to your lashes so they won't clump.
After trying it a few times, I completely agree...actually it gives too much definition. It doesn't really do anything for my lashes, it just really darkens the ends as my lashes are black anyway. It doesn't add any volume. It pulls out my curl after I apply it as it is quite wet.
TOP TIP: If you are having the same problem as me a little tip is to just apply it to the ends of your lashes after curling and wait for it to dry. This essentially tightens the lashes, pulling them up. Then apply mascara as normal. I found that this makes my lashes slightly longer with a bit more noticeable volume as well as holding the curl better. This is rather time consuming though if you are in a rush.

Overall I would give this mascara a 3/5 as it turns out OK if you apply it with the alternative method its just not giving me the wow-factor!
