Photos belong to me, do not steal:!
I have been testing the Bobbi Brown gel liner and the MAC black track fluidline for a couple of weeks now! I was initially attracted to MAC's blacktrack via luuuxer HD (who is amazing I might add), and I was attracted to Bobbi Brown's liner through an older luuuxer name audrey ann. So in this blog I'll do a brief analysis of the pros and cons, ey?
Bobbi Brown:
pros-
1.) lasts nearly all day
2.) extremely pigmented
3.) can be worn alone
4.) beautiful packaging
5.) looks gorgeous on the waterline/tightline
cons
1.) relatively dry compared to most gel liner formulas
2.) expensive
MAC Black Track Fluidline:
Pros-
1.) beautiful case
2.) creamy
3.) great price
4.) easy application
Cons
1.) needs a powder to set it (once a powder sets it, it's good)
2.) smudges easier compared to the bobbi brown liner
Between the two, I think I'd wear the MAC blacktrack for more of a night look (since I tend to sweat less due to weather), and I'd wear the bobbi brown more for a throughout the day look. The bobbi brown formula lasts longer, but the MAC blacktrack is a lot easier to create winged tips etc. due to its creaminess.
This is just my personal opinion. If you don't have oily skin, you will love the MAC blacktrack a lot more then the bobbi brown liner. I love both, I think they both work for different types of weather for me. =) Just a personal opinion.

thanks for the amazing review! the mac one smudges for me too!! :(
im going to try mac. bobbi brown one is quite expensive.
thanks for the comparison. i've had blacktrack for a couple years now and hardly use it because it still smudges on my lower lash line even with primers and setting it with powders. the physicians formula ones work really well for me and thats a drugstore liner x.x
awesome review, i've always wanted to try the MAC one
great comparison! i'd love to try any of these. i've just started using cream liners and i bought the ELF one as i didn't want to spend lots of money if i wasn't sure how i'd manage with applying this and so on...
nice post :)
thanks for the comparison. i usually tend to stay away from cream liners b/c i rub my eyes a lot & even more recently for some reason
great comparison! I actually finally got mac blacktrack fluidline, b/c the drugstore gel liners I had dried up on me! then I got the bobbi brown one which I thought was black at my CCO but its actually a super dark brown.. which I also been liking for more neutral looks. I am actually not sure which one I perfer yet, but I do think they work better then the drugstore gel liners I have used before :)
fragrance k: youre welcome!
I have the mac one, and I think I'll stick to it to save a couple of bucks!
thanks for the review!
Lisa Le <3: I liked ELFs too but it sometimes would stick to my waterline like sharpie does.
Mz Rebel: I know! I have such problems with my water line. =(
Dianna Wong: I love the bobbi brown one rigght now, but I need to use up these two before I buy any more eye liners.
Laura LaGlitterz: Don't blame you!
Cher M: I agree cher! Go with MAC!
I haven't tried either liners. They are a little too pricey for me. The only gel liner that I have is the ELF Studio one. Its my first gel liner so I can't really complain.
great review! i really wanna try blacktrack because ive never owned a gel liner and that ones cheaper lol i dont like the idea of having to set it though but ive never had to set liner on my eyes so maybe i wont have that issue:)
i've only tried the bobbi brown one and i love it! but i reckon some cheaper brands like the kate kanebo range definitely do compare with just a fraction of the price :)
I love my MUFE gel liner, it's great for me
I've only tried the MAC one but I'm pretty happy with sticking with it :)
nice!
Nice comparison and review :) The MAC may work well for me since I have non oily skin.
samadhi ashani: Agreed, by about 12 dollars. =)
Mary Nguyen: The Bobbi Brown is a lot better then I thought it would be. so I definitely recommend it over MAC, if and only if, you have oily skin.
Bklyn Queen: Agreed. The Bobbi Brown formula is dryer, but the payoff isn't as easy to control.
Danica Hernandez: I know! Oily skin = no bueno. =(
♥ Holly Ann: Blacktrack is a great formula of a gel liner.
Raven H: agreed!
Thanks for sharing! I always wanted to try both.
i've heard some great reviews about it. I want to try it out too.
the mac one is lot cheaper
thanks for sharing. i've only ever tried the mac one... but i was always curious about the bobbi brown one
Great comparison. I will have to get BB liner since I have oily skin.
