This would be one rare post about preparing food because I rarely do it. I seriously only know how to cook a very limited number of dishes and I wouldn't even call it cooking -_- I recently learned to make two delicious and classy salads that would be great if you have to attend any potluck with people there who you want to impress. And most importantly, if you're lazy like me, then you're in luck with the following two dishes ;P
The first one is Spinach and Strawberry Salad. I had this for the first time last summer and everything just tastes so good together. I didn't follow this particular recipe, I just went to Walmart to buy the ingredients from my memory. So how I made it will be somewhat different from this link.
What to Buy:
- 2 bags of pre-washed vegetables (1 bag in spinach, and 1 bag in 50/50)
- Raspberry Vinegar
- a box of strawberries
- a box of blueberries
- packaged krutons (preferably smaller ones) or cashews would work great too
How:
Wash your fruits and slice the strawberries. Get a big bowl. Put your vegetables, strawberries, blueberries in. Add raspberry vinegar. Add krutons / cashews. Mix it all up.
The second one is Curried Cashew, Pear, and Grape Salad. My coworker made this for the potluck. At first I heard curry in a salad and I was like ughhh.... but I tried and I was delightfully surprised! It was so good that I had to ask her for the recipe considering how rarely I cook or prepare food. The version that my coworker made had no greens and I think I prefer it that way. I would imagine it being really easy and fast to make as well as long as you have the right ingredients. Click on this link to learn how to make it :)
