i received this for free for my birthday from sephora, like many of you also did. i didn't even touch this until the past two months when i decided to put these in my bag for when i need to use them on the go.
the first thing about these lip balms is that they're TINY! they are free though and the full sized ones are definitely bigger. i keep these in a little makeup bag for my purse so it's nice that they're small, but if these were just floating loose in my bag, i'd lose them all the time lol
the packaging on these is gorgeous. i felt so dumb because the first time i tried to open them, i kept pulling at the cap and i was so confused as to why they wouldn't open. and then i figured out you twist the caps off. that makes them feel so classy even though they're tiny little samples!
as for the product itself, i like them but damn i would never purchase these for full price. these haven't worked miracles on my lips or done anything that a cheaper lip balm can't do. i love my nivea kiss of smoothness lip balms - those are my HG and they're significantly cheaper and they're just so moisturizing! i don't feel like these compare at all.
it's nice that a tinted lip balm is included too. in the photo with the swatch above, it's probably nicer to just look at the little thumb nail because the actual photo is total crap, but it just gives a sense of the color. it's not very pigmented and i didn't expect it to be. if you have the burt's bees pomegranate lip balm, this one does the same thing but with a slightly rosier color. on my lips though, it doesn't really show up because i have really pigmented lips that are already very close in color to the color of this lip balm.
all in all, i'm glad i got some free lip balms to throw in my everyday makeup bag! would i repurchase the full size? nope!

I never went to pick this up from Sephora, I always get lazy.
I don't shop at Sephora here because there are stores that sell the same thing for cheaper... but getting freebies, that's cool...although they give you the sample size or smaller than usual, at least you have the chance to test some products for free

Choi ❤: they're seriously tiny! like the size of my pinky. not the most convenient to carry around because i can imagine myself easily losing these but they really can fit into the tightest jean pocket lol

I am still waiting to get these for my birthday but it's many months from now ha. Thanks for letting me know that the cap is a twist off, not a pull off. So when I get it, I won't be like huh, how do I use this? My friend is the opposite of you, these are her HG lip balm and she owns a few of them in the full size!

If they're that small I think they're very convenient to carry around but lucky it's free because it doesn't sound like something I'd pay full price for either. I don't usually spend a lot on my lippies.

I recently picked this up from Sephora myself and was surprised with how small they were. From the photos online they are apparently taken very up close lol
