My skin has been breaking out like crazy! I am not sure if it is because I decided to try out a whole bunch of new products or due to the fact that I have been eating a lot of chocolate but my skin has been the worst it has ever been.
I remember having perfect skin during my teens and early 20's when I would just stick to drugstore products meant for sensitive skin. So I decided to go to Walmart and Target today to pick up a few products in hopes of clearer skin. I also plan to do the 3 day Apple diet which is supposed to help as well.
What I purchased:
Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel Pore perfeting toner $4.47- I have heard many good things about witch hazel so I decided that I should try it.
Dove Sensitive Skin Unscented 4 pack beauty bars $5.04- lisalisad1 on YT raves about this and says it really helped her skin. I plan to use this on my face with my olay cleansing brush.
CeraVe Moisturizing lotion $10.97- I have never heard of this brand. But when I googled best drugstore products for sensitive skin this one was mentioned.
Cetaphil Daily Advance Lotion ultra hydrating for dry sensitive skin $9.47- I couldnt decided on either the cerave or the cetaphil so I picked up both. I plan on doing more research on these two products and only keep the best one.
Clean & Clear foaming facial cleanser for sensitive skin $3.67 - This is by far my favorite drugstore face wash. I used to use this all the time in the past and had great skin so I am hoping it brings me back to those days.
I really hope these products work for me. Have any of you ever tried any of these products? Any other drugstore (or department store) skin care recommendations for sensitive skin?

i love the clean and clear face wash!
i use Dickinson's Original Witch Hazel. i really like this product.
the only product i've tried is the toner and its one of my essential steps before putting on my makeup in the morning. it really helps remove dirt and oil that accumulates while i sleep. i've heard good things about cetaphil, and i've heard of cerave and i think its popular, but not like cetaphil
Very nice haul!!
nice haul! i've actually never used these before
I really like using witch hazel toner :P It's just the smell that bothers me lol
great haul girl, my skin has been acting up like no other, i need to try out new products :)
Raquel Gonzalez: so far I absolutely love everything. esp the cerave. its amazing. the dove soap is amazing as well. i ended up returning the cetaphil and clean and clear (didnt use them), because I wanted to try the dove and cerave first (i hate having too many products)
mylittlecasey *: i think i may try the tea tree oil. I heard its great. I ended up keeping the cerave and returning the cetaphil because after reading reviews i figured the cerave would work better for me and so far i love it! my skin is def improving.
I think thats why my skin has been breaking out like crazy as well :( I have been using a bunch of new things. Please tell us how well or bad these end up working out for you.
I had read somewhere once that CeraVe and Cetaphil are almost identical and are great for sensitive skin. You can also try the brand Spectro Gel for acne breakouts as well as tea tree oil which is amazing as a spot treatment.
crispy ☮: yeah that could be it. Since its starting to get warm again my skin is probably going crazy. i have also been a little more stressed out than usual
Carolina Soria: so far so good. I havnt broke out from them so they must be working =)
Never used any of these products, but I hope they work for you! I know sometimes the transitions between seasons, depending on where you live affects your skin.
i've been breaking out like crazy as well! ughhh my skin was amazing -.- but oh well. I've never used Dove soaps on my face though! always for my body and they're great.. I'm gonna try them and see how they work!
Ashley Renea: hmmm maybe I shoud proactive a try...ive always been scared to try it though
arual 728: oh cool then I hope it does work for me as it did for you!
Yaz G: I used it last night after washing my face. I love it so far. I hope it works for me. I will def do a review on it
Lamanie L: so far I like it! It doesnt dry my skin out which most toners tend to do...its actually moisturizing.
great haul hun
Ive heard that the Cetaphil lotion is awesome, i havent tried it myself but plan too after im finished using my current face lotion. My skin wasnt bad in my teens but once i hit 21-22 it started breaking out badly..really painful big pimples under the skin. I started using proactiv and it made my skin worse for the first 2 months but after that it became completely clear and has never looked better. I hope your skin gets better soon i know how much it sucks when your face is broke out!
dove products smell soo good
I use the Dickinsons witch hazel, I really like it I broke out with a product I tried and I used the cetaphil cleanser and witch hazel its not completly gone but wayyy wayy better than it was then. Hop they work for you
great skin care haul =]
I would love to see your follow up with the witch hazel. Do you just use it as a toner? I've been breaking out on my chin like crazy!! Ugh its so frustrating and gross :( I hope these things work for you!
I love clearsil and clean and clear!
I've been breaking out a little more than usual too. The witch hazel sounds like somthing I would give a try.

Diana Khoubaeva: oo I should try that next since I already got witch hazel. =) Thanks hun!
