Jen Liang » Detachable Brush Wand from Sephora

I went to Sephora yesterday to return the NARS Dolce Vita lipgloss that I bought and talked about in a previous post. I didn't like it because it showed up brighter on my lips than it seemed in the tube.

While I was waiting in line, I saw an interesting product called "Sephora Collection Brush Wand". It seemed great for travel purposes as it includes a smudge brush, a liner brush, a sponge tip, and a crease brush. So intead of bringing 4 different brushes next time I go on a trip, I only need to bring 1. Also, I don't need to worry about brush storage to prevent damaging the bristles as this brush wand is stackable and each piece acts as a lip for another. I wasn't exactly sure what mechanism made them fit together, but I was intruiged by the concept and had to buy it.

When I got home and opened the package, I realized that there are actually magnets that I think wraps around each piece. It's the magnets that makes the product detachable. The mechanism works really well. The bristles, on the other hand, felt synthetic and kind of hard. But for $14, I don't really mind that. Plus, they don't hurt my eyelids or anything. The other thing is that you can change the length of the handle of a brush tip by stacking more or removing other brush tips underneath.

Overall, I think it's a $14 well spent. What do you think of this product?
