Ah - the oh-so-famous Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua. Arguably one of the most talked about foundations in the beauty community. Everyone has had their fair share with this foundation. Let me tell you about my experience.
I bought this in February. I had wanted to buy a nice high end foundation for every day wear since I was just using my Cover Girl Natureluxe beforehand; I bought the CG foundation in the summer and I desperately needed a lighter shade of foundation. I had heard tons of rave about the Chanel foundation and I thought, "Why not give it a go?" so I did.
I picked out shade B20 and it matched me really well. It's priced at $45 for the standard size of 1 fl oz. I have to say I'm not confident that I have much product left in that little Chanel bottle which is funny because it usually takes me at least a year to finish a standard 1 fl oz. foundation and that's when I wear it at least 5 times a week. Lately, I've been using makeup 1-3 times a week and I the bottle getting lighter with every use and trust me I don't use a ridiculous amount of foundation on my face, either. It's the strangest thing.
I heard that this foundation was great for dry skin and since I have dry skin I was very happy to hear that. I have to say it does nothing for my skin, it is not moisturizing. Whatsoever. It's not drying but definitely not moisturizing either.
Coverage is light-medium. I must admit it does nothing for my skin. I have pretty nice skin to begin with and this really does nothing for it. It gives it a glow and a teeny bit of coverage, but that's not what I'm looking for.
Overall, I would not repurchase this foundation and I would not recommend it to a friend. It was a waste of money. Not worth the hype.
