I eat Manakish (Lebanese Pizza) all the time. It has few ingredients, and a relatively simple recipe to follow, besides the bread making process of course... yeast fermentation is a pain... and I used to make it a lot in my spare time. But nowadays I have no need to make this because it is just $2 for one in my area. This one I ate had half Za'atar and half Cheese toppings. The Za'atar topping is the most famous with sesame, thyme marjoram, oregano, and or sumac. It is slightly tangy and goes great with cheese, so that is why I chose to by the half and half one instead of just one flavour. There were other flavours like with olives and meat, or chili, but I felt like going for the more traditional one.
Which type of Manakish do you like?
