I usually will eat throughout the day and have 5-6 small meals versus 3 meals a day. So usually between 2:30-3:00pm I will usually reach for something to eat. I baked a banana berry loaf on Sunday night. I used the recipe here http://allrecipes.com/recipe/blueberry-loaf-cake/ as a base for my loaf but modified it a lot lol. Instead of 1/2 cup of butter/margarine I used 6 tablespoons of canola/olive oil blend, added a mashed banana, used soy milk instead of cow's milk, omitted the cinnamon and used a frozen berry blend which included blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. I also used 6 tablespoons of demura sugar and 2 packets of stevia, 1 cup of whole wheat flour, 1 cup of wheat bran and 1/2 cup of white flour. It came out pretty good and I usually do not like things overly sweet and it hit the spot so I wouldn't starve during my commute home from work.

I eat 3 small meals but I snack a lot in between meals lol. This loaf you made reminds me of one my grandma used to make. She is a strict vegeterian and diabetic so she used natural sweetners or stevia and she used whole wheat in her breads and cakes. I know this loaf would taste good because the ingredients you used sound great esp. the fruits :)

You definitely changed alot of it, and I definitely prefer your version better. I rarely eat butter, and the only times I do is when it's already in some dishes when eating out, and I try not to order those if I know it's in them for sure.

i have 3 meals a day and i'm trying to switch to eating more smaller meals but it's a hard change. sometimes i start eating and i don't stop! lol. my mom and i almost always make modifications to recipes to make them a little healthier.

This sounds and looks so good! I love banana bread, cakes, muffins, you name it! I also like substituting canola and olive oil in place of margarine or butter for some of my recipes.

I'm looking at the original recipe and looking at what you used..lol..you did change a lot~ haha but wow, your loaf looks so healthy and delicious! It looks like it has a really nice texture to it, which I love my bread that way. I try to eat more small meals throughout the day but sometimes it just turns out to be 3 main meals with 2 snacks or 2 main meals and 2-3 snacks. lol
