I've really been in the mood for some cannoli lately, so I went to my grocery store and got some from the bakery department. They were sooo delicious!! When I was younger I never used to like cannoli, but now I'm in love, lol! :)
Cannoli are basically little fried pastry shells filled with a (usually) ricotta-based filling that often tastes more sugary and sweet than anything, lol. My grocery store had ones with chocolate chips on the ends of the filling, but I went for the ones without them - although next time I might get the chocolate chip ones!
Cannoli are a perfect little dessert and definitely satisfy those sweet cravings! Just writing this post is putting me in the mood for some more, lol. They're a traditionally Italian food (Sicilian, more precisely) but you certainly don't have to be Italian to enjoy them, lol! I highly recommend trying some if you never have - they're just so good! :D
