Last night for dinner I threw together a simple casserole. That is one of the fantastic go-to meals for busy moms or just busy people, in general. They are hard to mess up, easy to put together, and easy to clean up. The one I made last night had things like rice, broccoli, chicken, and cheese. It was very good and a hit with everyone.
I started by steaming some fresh broccoli with a bit of garlic and veggie seasonings. In a separate pan I made some instant white rice. As per usual, I used chicken bullion in the water to give more flavor. The next thing I did was combine a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of chicken soup, 2 (10 oz) cans of chunk chicken, milk, butter, cheese, and a packet of dry french onion soup. Once the broccoli was softened I kind of chopped it up with the end of a wooden spoon. I just wanted to break it into SOME smaller pieces so it wold mix well into the rest of the ingredients. Then that went into the mix with the soups and such. The rice was also dumped in. Everything was mixed up IN the glass baking dish that it was going to be baked in. Once everything was well mixed together I put it into a 350 degree oven for 35 minutes.
That was it. Simple enough, right? It was good, hot, and filling. Even the picky boys liked this one. You don't really need to add any salt or anything to the mix because the soups, alone, give tons of flavor. Infact, I'd taste it before you put it into the oven and see if you need to add anything more.. I'd be afraid it would be far too salty if you added salt
without tasting first. I really don't think it needs anything else. The onion soup mix really gives tons of flavor and saltiness.

Michelle Mai Huynh♡: Yeah, you should be able to get it at Walmart with no problems. Look in the regular canned soup aisle. There is typically a little section that has the chicken bullion and boxed chicken stock. It should be right near there. Lipton makes one of the most popular ones but you can also get off brand ones from time to time (depending on the grocery)
I need to find dry french onion soup mix. Where do you buy it? Do you think Walmart sells it. I love french onion soup but I can't find any I like =( The can one I tried was so gross. I love all the foods you eat, they're so cheesy like I mention all the time, hehe.
