Paper...Ah paper, so many things you can do with it. If you're not careful you can get a nasty cut that will hurt for a long time. So here's the cure; Littlefly, big, bold and flamboyant antidote for that poor little cut.
Now on a more serious note, this artist has found a unique technique to make the most outrageous works of art I've seen with jewelry in a long time.
Funny to say that this is a true reflection of words jumping off the page at you. Jeremy May describes his work as "Literary Jewelry" because they're made from paper that he chooses from books.
There are different types of books and they evoke different types of emotions. This is what his jewelry does. They are one of a kind. You'll never see your piece on someone else-what a wonderful thing.
This is the process he uses to create the jewelry. He starts by laminating hundreds of sheets of paper together, then carefully finishing to a high gloss. The paper is selected and carefully removed from a book, and the jewelery re-inserted in the excavated space.
What a wonderful way to read a book...just wear it.
