It’s that time of year again in New York City. It’s the time when all the top Fashionistas and all of the Who’s Who in Fashion descend upon the Big Apple to watch top designers showcase their continuous talent and new creations. During this week long extravaganza events are held all over the city throughout the day and well into the evening. In fact, not even a long day of rain showers or a rainy evening will cancel a show or stop diehard fans from being a part of excitement and the magic called Fashion Week.
This season, on Sunday, September 12, 2010, Designer Edwing D’Angelo unveiled his latest Spring 2011 collection to very exuberant crowd. Right before and especially during the evening, the crowd waited patiently anticipating the display of his latest designs. This fabulous star-studded event was held at the legendary Waldorf Astoria ballroom located on Park Avenue.
As always the show began with trail models wearing soft pastels and bright colors for the spring. This was followed by an extremely attractive array of nude colored and tan swimwear for men and women. The beach wear was a mixture of sexy two-piece ensembles to one piece suits for both males and females. Many of the pieces were ready to wear and were artfully accented with gold accessories.
Next on the agenda were women’s evening wear, casual dresses and 2 piece suits that were perfect for dinner and an evening on the town. The collections showcased, knee length dresses and pastel evening gowns. The menswear displayed a host of soft and bright colored casual wear. With trendy khaki suits and slacks for all occasions. To offset the clothes, a few of the models carried flowers to match the bright tone of the show.
As usual, Edwing left the crowd pleased and blown away as he graced the stage along with his models. Next season should be even better when he unveils his next collection.
