I was walking through JC Penney the other day with my boyfriend to go to Belden's Jewelers to get my ring he got me for Christmas resized. On the way through Penney's I spotted a knit skull cap and just had to stop to try it on. Now a little backstory: I had a skull cap last year that I wore every day during the winter when I went outside, but there was a mishap where it was thrown in the washing machine with a knit green blanket and the fibers from the blanket found them self in my hat and low and behold my hat had to be thrown out. I have been searching for one just like it and ta-da this was it! I put it back on the shelf telling myself I'd buy it after going to the jewelers and after I had my ring taken care of I went back to JC's and purchased it.

It was originally $26, but after the 60% off it was $10.40. I looked online yesterday and saw that the price has since been reduced even further to $6.99 (see the hat and color choices here: http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=1b8f794&submit%20s...).

The hat fits amazingly. I like that it goes over the tops of my ears and holds my hair down. Since my hair is shorter (ends at the base of my neck) the bottom flares out a bit and looks cute. I just love these hats and I'm glad I found a replacement!
