Hey luuuxers! Today, I'd like to introduce you to one of the most brilliant movies I ever watched - Vicky Cristina Barcelona, a romantic drama starring Rebecca Hall and Scarlett Johansson as best friends Vicky and Cristina, spending their summer in Barcelona, one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Soon, an encounter with the charming artist Juan Antonio (Javier Bardem) leads to a complicated love triangle between Cristina, Juan Antonio and his impulsive and unstable ex-wife Maria Elena (Penelope Cruz), leaving the engaged Vicky and her secret feelings for Juan Antonio left out and alone.
As I don't want to spoil this movie for anyone who's planning to watch it, I'm gonna keep the rest of the plot to myself - but let me tell you luuuxers, the movie pretty much ends with a bang and is filled with unexpected twists, turns and events.
As far as I'm concerned, this movie left me in awe, as it's usually the case with movies written and directed by the brilliant Woody Allen. Even though Vicky Cristina Barcelona starts off pretty slight and shallow, it later turns out to be an incredibly smart, funny and passionate movie, filled with interesting and thought-out characters interacting in a complex tangle of interesting relationships. In my opinion, this movies deserves more than two thumbs up!

Woody Allen is one of my favorite writers/directors. I thought this movie was really fun to watch.. it was very simple in plot but yet still interesting. Loved it!
